Ashish Sharma, who plays the title role in Chandragupta Maurya, was recently injured while shooting for the show. The blow was so hard that Ashish almost broke his nose. He was hit by a fake sword while shooting a scene with a stuntman.
However, on Tuesday, Ashish got sort of a repeat telecast of the incident. As per reports, in the night, when a scene between Lalit, who plays Digvijay in the show and Ashish was being shot, Lalit's punch hit Ashish's cheek and left a bruise. Apparently, the blow was enhanced by the metal ring that Lalit was wearing in his finger and it left a cut on his cheek.
The actors were shooting an important scene, where Chandragupta will finally find out that Digvijay is the long lost friend of his childhood. They will then join hands and fight Dhanananda.
However, Ashish is undeterred by these incidents. He said that such incidents are common in period dramas. But he has now asked the production team to give proper training to the actors during fight scenes, to avoid such incidents in future.
Here's hoping a quick recovery to Ashish.
