B'wood calling Dhanush

Superstar Rajnikanth's son-in-law, Dhanush who shot to international fame with his 'Why This Kolaveri Di' has more reasons to cheer. We hear that he has finally signed a B'wood movie titled 'Raanjhnaa.'

As was reported earlier, Dhanush had been shopping in Bollwyood for the right role and producers had started taking interest in him post his 'Kolaveri..' success. The director who has bagged him is Anand L. Rai who made waves last year with his romantic comedy 'Tanu Weds Manu.'

In a press statement the director said that in the past six months he had been busy searching for the right face for his new project until he saw Dhanush in the Tamil movie 'Aadukalam' for which the actor won the national award. Rai added that Dhanush's ordinary looks and unassuming persona made him seem perfect for the lead role of a simple boy in 'Raanjhnaa.'

Rai also hastened to add that Dhanush wasn't being signed only because he had turned an overnight sensation. Apparently the director had approached the 28-year-old Tamil actor much before 'Kolaveri Di' went viral. (Sounds hard to believe but we take his word for it).

However, there is one problem that still needs to be sorted and it pertains to the leading man's lack of fluency in Hindi. Apparently, Dhanush can't put together a sentence in Hindi but that doesn't daunt him. A coach is being hired to tutor him in the in the language. Good luck Dhanush!
