Chapter 1 - Farewell

The town of Hrishikesh, small yet homely, A girl ran hastily down the lanes with a big mischievous smile on her face. She stopped and caught her breath whilst she stood in front of her house. She pushed open the door and made a grand entry and dropped on to a sofa and sighed "phew that was close." An older woman came over to her "Manvi tu kaha thi?" she asked doubtingly. Manvi stood up right away whilst she thought of an excuse "beeji who mein walk par gayi thi." She looked up at her grandma expectantly hoping her lame excuse had worked. "Tu ne phir se kuch garabar ki hai na." Manvi was left dumbstruck her jaws dropped and she pinched herself for making such a lame excuse. "Nahi bheeji kasam se meine kuch nahi kiya who sab mere dosto ki galati thi." Bheeji sighed and walked away "yeh ladki kabhi nahi sud regi." Manvi felt relieved and fell back on the sofa this time shutting her eyes and dosing of.

A faded face of a tall, dark haired man appeared under the light of the setting sun. The guy walked away and Manvi followed after him. She wore a long gown which trailed behind her as she ran behind the shadow of the bloke. "Ruko" she called out to him but he was gone. Mani finally awoke and mumbled to herself while she sat up on the sofa stretching and yawning. "Phir se wohi sapna" she sighed and took a long breath and slowly let it out. "How long will I have to wait for my prince?"

Manvi gasped when she heard her bheeji call out to her. She ran reluctantly over to her grandmas room and walked in steadily she knocked on the door before asking if she had been called. Bheeji was furious with anger displaying on her face she looked at Manvi appalled. "Manvi yeh main kya sun rahi hoon tumne phirse itni bari galti ki. Tum janti hon tumhari is naadani ka nateeja kya hai?" "Sorry bheeji" Manvi looked up innocently towards her grandma. "Manvi maafi mang ne se kuch teek nahi hoga tum har bar Galati karke maafi mang ti ho aur sab bina koi shikayat karke maaf bhi karte hai lekin aisa kab tak chalega. Tumahari in bacho jesi harkat ne sab ko pareshan kar ke raka hai kuch samjo Manvi kisi ko shikayat karne ka moka mat do." Bheeji walked away still enraged.

Manvi stood still for a moment recovering from the depth of her thoughts she went over to her room and sat on the bed. A shower of thoughts ran through her as Bheeji's words ran down her mind playing over and over again. She went over to the open window of her room it was evening now the bright moon was up and the night sky was filled with so many twinkling stars. Soft breezes came in colliding with Manvi's delicate cheeks and blowing her perfectly long hair back. Manvi stared up at the sky concentrating on two bright stars her eyes watery whilst she spoke to the sparkling stars "Muma, Papa why does this always happen to me? Why am I the one who hurts the ones I love. I never do it intentionally you know how I am but why am I like this why can't I do anything right. Well I have made a decision and I hope you support me after all I need the guidance. I need to stop being a burden on everyone else and make things write start behaving like an adult but first I have to explore the world outside my perfect life and I hope you'll agree with me. Okay by for now."

Manvi sat at her desk and started to write a note:

Bheeji I'm really sorry I know I've made many mistakes and hurt you a lot and ill surely keep your words in my mind. You've always supported me and forgave me for all my mistakes. Everyone has loved me a lot and always supported me but as you said I need to understand which is why I'm leaving for a few days. I'm going to explore the outside world and see the hardships people have to face. I know this might come to you as a little I mean a big shock but don't worry I'll be ok and back in a few days. And please don't try to look for me because I myself don't know where I'm going. Sorry J and love u all.

Manvi left the letter on her desk beside the lamp whilst she packed some of her belongings. She then put the bag beside and set her alarm for 5am and went over to have dinner before coming back and having an early night.

It was dark and very quiet everyone in the Vhadera house had gone to sleep. Virat pulled open the living room window and very quietly entered through it. He tiptoed across the hallway when suddenly the lights turned on. Virat tightly closed his eyes and bit his tongue "Oh Sh*t...pakre gai yaar." He said to himself. Virat turned round to find Dadaji stood in front of him with a straight fuming face. He walked over to Virat and looked at him disgusted "Virat tumne is gar ke ek aur niyam ko tora hai tum jante ho ki is gar mein is wakt koi bahar nahi jaata phir bhi tum bina bataiye bahar chalegai." Virat looked down "dadaji who mein'" "Bas'kal subhe bhaat karenge" Dadaji interrupted before walking away. Virat grinned then hopped up the stairs to his room.
