Geet rushed into KC and found Pari on the way to Maan's cabin. "Hey, Maan's in his office right?"

"Yea but'"

"No time. I'll talk to you later." She cut Pari off and left. Pari whispered the remaining sentence.

"He's changing'"

Emma heard her talking to herself. She found it weird as she hadn't seen Geet come in and go. "Are you alright?"

"Yea why?"

"Then why are you talking to yourself?"

"I'm not! I was talking to Geet. She just left for Maan's office."

Emma widened her eyes. "But he was'"

"I know! I tried telling her but she left."

Then a thought came in their head. Maybe this happened for the best. Both winked at each other and gave a high-five. They didn't have to work at all to bring them closer!

The boys passed by to see them giggling. They shrugged and thinking they were having another of their girl gossips, left to complete their work.

"Maan!" she said loudly as she walked in the office. Seeing the sight in front of her, she widened her eyes with surprise and stared for a second. Maan turned around with no shirt on. He held his shirt in his hand. As she realized she was staring at his body, she faced her back to him quickly getting embarrassed and covered her face. Most likely, she thought she would hide the blushing face.

But too late! Maan had already seen her blushing. He shook his head pleasingly and slipped the shirt on. "Hey, what are you doing here?"

"Do you have you shirt on?" she managed to ask while fumbling.

He laughed and said, "Yes." She turned around after a second relieved to find him with a shirt on. The thoughts that lingered in her head while she saw him with no shirt on were pretty embarrassing to her. She was glad no one could read them.

She brushed the thoughts aside and replied, "Uh... I just realized messed up on a quote last night."

"Ok'" both sat down and Geet pointed it out to him and they fixed it together. They called Vicky in and asked him to fix it and then send a copy of the file to Geet.

It all ended after a good one and half hour. Geet was starving as she hadn't had breakfast. She asked sheepishly, "Is there a canteen here?"

"Hungry?" he cocked his brow up.

"No'. STARVING!" she exclaimed and both giggled.

"Ok chalo." He said getting up and grabbing his keys.

"Where?" she asked still seated.

He leaned towards the chair making her sink her head in the back of the chair. The chair squeaked and tilted back. He asked mischievously, "Don't you trust me?"

"Is that a trick question?" she asked after thinking for few seconds.

"Ha-ha. Come on!" he said pulling her up. She pulled him back to grab her purse and he then pulled her out the door and both went away giggling leaving the rest of the groups surprised.

They just shrugged being happy for them.

"Maan, the food was just delicious!" Geet exclaimed as they came out of the restaurant.

"It has to be! My favorite place. I always come here you know?" he informed her. "Oh really?! That's great." She replied as they boarded the bike.

"You still not going to hold on to me?" he asked as she held the bars behind her but not him. Even on their way there, she had done the same telling him that she was okay that way. He hadn't argued back then.

"Why should I? I'm completely fine this way." She replied and nudged him to turn the engine on. Shaking his head, he did with a devilish smile on his face.

When they were a good five minutes on the road, he suddenly accelerated taking Geet by surprise. She was calmly looking at the trees pass by and Maan wouldn't talk to her. Her hands went on his shoulder and in the mirror, she saw him grin at his success.

She punched his shoulder and he laughed. She couldn't help but giggle as well. She moved her hands and he did it again.

Stop scaring me!" she yelled at him over the engine voice and the highway noise topped it up. He shook his head and did it again. She playfully strangled his neck and then let her hands rest on his shoulder fearing he would continue doing that and never stop. She finally had to give in.

Instead of going back to KC, Maan took her roaming as she hadn't seen many places around town. He called Emma to let her know and Emma told the rest of them. They all were happy that they were becoming really close to each other.

Maan dropped her home after dinner. Along the way, they had tons of snacks so neither of them was hungry. But they still went to Pizza place and filled their stomach just in case. Pari heard Geet come in singing to herself. She wasn't able to remember the last time she had seen Geet this happy!

Geet came to Pari's room and hugged her from back as Pari was working on a design. "La... laa la. Hey angel! I looove you."

Pari giggled with a confused expression. "Love you too honey. What's up?"

"Nothing. Can't I say I love you to my best friend?"

"You can say whenever you like. But today seems special?" Pari turned around and asked.

"Nah. Just had one of the best days of my life!" she exclaimed as she let herself fall back on the bouncy bed.

After a second, she got up and pulled Pari down too. "Whoa!"

"I'm so happy for you. By the way, did you invite Maan for your party?"

"No.' she said normally. Pari gaped at her angrily. She then realized that she hadn't even told Maan about it. Let alone invite him. "Oh shoot!! I completely forgot!"

Pari hit her head. "Silly girl! You were with him the whole day!"

"I know. But I just forgot. I'll call him right now."

Saying so, she rushed out of Pari's room to her room. Pari shook her head amusingly watching Geet run to her room.

Maan answered the call at the second ring after flashing a smile seeing Geet's caller id. "Hey, missing me already?" he asked with a smirk.

"Oh please! Why will I miss you?"

"Uhm, I don't know. We did spend the whole day together."

"Yea. And thanks for that. I had great fun. I called you for a reason."

He sat down on his bean bag in his room and sipped a coke. "Yup, what is it?"

"My- my birthday is tomorrow. I forgot to invite you before."

Maan stayed silent for a second. "Wow. And you didn't tell me when I was in front of you?"

"Did I not mention I forgot?" she said sarcastically.

"You just did again." He said with a grin being mischievous.

Geet giggled silently and waited for him to speak up. When he didn't she asked, "So you're going to come right?"

"Uh, yea. Sure. Why not." He replied.

"Great. The party starts at 7."

"Okay! Anything else?"

"No ' nothing else. Uhm good night." She replied awkwardly. She quickly cut the call.

She wondered why she answered so sheepishly. She then turned the laptop on and logged into her email to check her mails.

Instantly, she thought about MK. The MK she has shared tons of things with. Her problems, inner thoughts, anger, and all other feelings she would hide from every one. Everyone including Pari. She was curious to know if he was online at the moment and opened her yahoo messenger as well.

She turned on the radio just then and didn't see him online. It said offline. She thought more about him and the times they had spent chatting with him.

Life seemed to have been going so fast. Too much things that made her busy. She hadn't been able to chat with him properly in a week. She wondered if he was busy as well or if he still logged in at their regular time and wait for her to come.

She tilted her head back and rested it on the chair. She closed her eyes and thought more about MK. Suddenly, the thoughts took up a face and she shot her eyes open as she saw Maan taking up the face of MK.

What the hell?! Why did I see Maan's face? I was thinking about Mk'

She was completed struck with confusion and she walked up to the table to fetch some water for herself. She still couldn't get Maan's face off of her mind when in fact she was thinking about MK and not Maan.

Maybe it's only because you spent the whole day with him' she thought to herself. Then, she consoled herself to believe it. Yes. That's it. That's the only reason you are seeing him. Nothing else. You're silly to think Maan and Mk are same'

But then the thought otherwise. But it could be' he lives in NY. So does Maan. He owns a huge successful business and so does Maan. There were lots of loopholes she wasn't able to fit together.

Like the way MK reveals all his problems to her' she couldn't imagine Maan, the flirtious, outgoing guy to be MK. When thinking about it, both seemed to be different people.

She went and sat back on the chair trying to stop her head from hurting. All the things she was just thinking about was making her go crazy.

As she was almost done replying to mails, Maan came online. A soft buzz sound was made as it sent her a notification saying 'MK is now online.'

Without wasting a second, she sent him a message. "Hey MK! Long time… how are you?"

Maan smiled seeing the instant message and replied back. "Hey! Yea… very long. Busy? And I'm good."

"Um… sort of. You?"

"Yea, me too." He replied back. Geet felt less guilty that she wasn't the only one busy and Maan felt the same knowing he wasn't completely at fault for not talking properly.

"So how are things going at office?" Maan asked Geet.

"Just great! You know the guy I told you about? The one I met at mall?"

"Yea, hat about him?"

"He's so not how I thought he was. Come to think of it, we've become really good friends!"

"Oh that's great. Poor guy… he'll have to bear your tantrums too…" he sent mockingly.

"Oh puh-lease! I don't throw tantrums alright? They just come once in a while."

"Whatever you say!"

Geet then laughed. She was not picking up a fight with him! She replied, "Hey, don't be mad. You know I'm a bit low on getting sarcasm na."

Maan shook his head. The same playful girl he liked a lot was back. "No worries re. I know that. So, anything exciting?"

"Not really… I have something to tell you."

Maan laughed out loud. First, she says nothing and then says she has something to say. "Which is…?"

Geet gulped slowly before typing, "You know how you asked me to meet once?"

Maan smiled. "How can I forget that?"

"Uhm… I had said no then… maybe because I was being conscious and all… but now, I want to meet you."

Maan widened his eyes reading that. He hadn't expected her to agree anytime soon. He was pleasantly shocked. He didn't reply for few seconds.

She got tensed and replied, "Hey, there?"

Hearing the beep noise, he blinked and replied, "Yea… yea, I'm here. And sure. Where?"

She said a small lie. "It's my friend's birthday tomorrow and she's throwing a party. There?"

"Ok… no prob. Send me the address and I'll meet you there."

Then came the next question. Both of them asked at the same time, "How will I recognize you?"

They both laughed at their timing. Maan replied first, "Keep your cell with you. When I get there, I'll text you and then we can decide on a place?"

"Yea... ok… that works… because obviously, there'll be multiple people wearing same color clothes."

"Yea… I'm still surprised you agreed to meet." Maan replied.

"We have become great friends… I mean I share things with you that sometimes I don't even share with anyone else."

"Should I be honored or feel scared from your friends?" he asked teasingly.

"Of course honored! Ha-ha!"

He laughed as well and they continued talking till Geet said she was sleepy and so she's going off. Maan wished her good night and then got ready. Not for going to bed, but to go out.
