Accidental or not??

... we have much to rejoice today. Shilpa can we have Monday night drinks today as we are left with much to think and talk about.

We celebrate two things: a kiss and the best / longest gohem scene yet seen.

Ahem never expected to be kissed by his wife when he woke up on this faithful Sunday morning. With the pigeon landing on his shoulder and walking up his back collar, he could only think of one thing and that was to have it removed immediately. The inevitable occurred, the bird flew away in the nick of time and Gopi fell onto him placing a kiss on his lower right jaw.

His mind whirled out of his control from being stunned with what just happened, to realising his situation he was in, to she is my wife and I liked this very much (represented by the male vocal tune and the longest eyelock scene), to reality hitting him of what he interpreted when she turned her back on him as she was not as excited as he was (folk tune).

He was stunned as he never anticipated that she would come up so close to him and land her lips on his jaw. He took in her closeness, her warm breath and felt her body warmth envelope him. He was aware of his situation he was in but his heart was fluttering immensely. As he liked this moment very much and looking into her eyes with warmth to her, he wanted it to express his thoughts and feelings to her but did not know how. When she turned it struck him that her feelings where not at the same place as his was. It pained him to watch her being nervous, scared and terrified - all bundled up together when Jigar and his mum and kaki were there. At the same time he moved into autopilot with the excuse of work as he struggled to hold himself together.

He paced around in their room with the door closed thinking, comtemplating and pondering just what happened and what to do next. He was visibly disappointed when it wasn't her who brought his tea. How will he deal with this situation they are in? He has to do something ... but what?

The subtle nuances that fate plays:

* he wanted to spend time with his mum but she distances herself from him as a result of recent developments she has noticed in him

* the pigeon track

Swasthi we are definitely having that drink today.

A kiss is a kiss no matter how it happened, and the reactions we got were mindblowing. I was stunned and was even more surprised by the end of the episode.
Today for the first time 90% of the episode was focused on Gohem.

So one kiss and two different reactions.
Ahem: Taken off guard, surprised, stunned and delighted
Gopi: Also taken off guard, but before she could even enjoy the moment, he eyes widened in fear, she moved back to her whole body trembling waiting for his reaction, when none came after a few moments she turned her back on him. Notice how she places her hand on her lips, same gesture as when she accidentally slapped him.
Ahem on the other hand is savoring the moment by placing his hand on his jaw to reassure himself that it really happened.

Things get complicated from this point on. There is a potential for a major misunderstanding here. He thinks she didn't like the kiss, and also notices her fear, so he is trying to buy himself time by giving her the time and space to come to terms with what happened and for her to realize that he is not going to shout at her.
She on the other hand thinks he is upset and trying to avoid her by going to work on Sunday, so decides to remove herself from him.

Ahem will be the one who will have to take the step to clear the misunderstanding, most especially if he doesn't want his mom to get involved.
I don't see either of them telling Koki what happened, so this could be a positive thing, and Koki may come to her own conclusion regarding Gohem relationship.
She may think that Gohem are still not where they should be, that Ahem is still not ready to accept Gopi as his wife and take steps to bring them closer.
Since I have no clue on what could happen by Friday, we are going to celebrate today by having a Monday night drink.
This is a major turning point in their relationship.

Loved the post swasthi. Thanks to the pigeon who found a good landing zone on ahem's shoulder. OMG the scene was too good. Gohem put the screen on fire. Loved this episode😃

Swasthi, wonderful analysis again 👏

I really think the accidental kiss made a more positive impact on Ahem than on Gopi. He was surprised and surely happy moments after the kiss but Gopi walking away made him a little flustered. Ahem would definitely not have expected that reaction. I think if he had found Gopi blushing and stammering he may have followed suit and may even have attempted to converse, but her terrified look and her shivering along with Jigar's arrival totally changed the situation.

His mistake about getting ready for office forgetting the day shows us how much he was affected. But I think to Gopi it gave the wrong signals. I mean a husband who had just been kissed, turns around and talks of office and there are her MILs who praise him saying that to him work comes first and is god.. I think Gopi did not read his reaction correctly and it is not her mistake. She just reacted to what she felt was or would be Ahem's anger.

One more thing, it was beautiful that the first place Gopi went after the kiss was the mandir. Her eyes looked at Kanhaji and it seemed she was asking her God questions that she could not articulate to Ahem. Kanha just looked on and so did Ahem..

The tea scene was beautiful. The minute Ahem heard the knock, his hand automatically raised to touch the cheek.😆 Then we saw his awkwardness in facing her. Another mistake of Ahem's although it was just Hetal.

Imagine if Gopi was here.. She would have read this reaction as anger and would have left the room more terrified than ever. But fortunately Hetal saved the day. I found Ahem's Thank you was filled with gratefulness..

Was he grateful that his Kaki helped his wife by bringing the tea or was he grateful that she let it go when he said everything was fine...

Finally the look of disappointment and thoughtfulness when Hetal left .. This man is slowly realizing that his wife has gone far off from him and it may take a while for him to get her back..

Fab analysis swasthi , omg evn i had not expected the GoHem kiss when i woke up this morning 😍 .Excitement must have been the last thing on gopi's mind she looked too scared so much so tat her eyes teared up and he did seem to notice .Ahem did look disappionted on seeing her kaki when he had expected it to be gopi . may be if she had come up he would try to make her feel at ease
