I am watching this show from its first epi. Karanvir acting is awesome. I personally love his acting.

But Viraj is the most worst guy I ever saw. Viraj should get the punishment of what he is doing. I know its not real life but this show could bring an affect on many people in india or the world. Maybe in a bad way. In india society so many womens suffered and stay quiet just for the sake of their family and get beat by their husband and they stay quiet. If jhanvi or their family keep ignring this all then what will this show teach?
I know the shows are for entertainment but one or the another way they do create a impact on the way we live.
In this forum people are saying viraj should kill dadi or dadi should go. But did you guys ever think that this happens in real life too. if a someone comes in your family and do this to your sister mother or to you. if someone beat you or blackmail you like that then I am sure it would hurt. to me dadi is doing right to save life of her grand daughter. And I think Jhanivi should speak for her right. if she will ignore then virja will do this her to more.
This is my fav show on life ok. But I think if they dont show the right things like if they dont show jahnvi fighting for her right or some one else not taking a action angast viraj then this could create a bad affect on many peoples mind. Television is for entertainment but it also covney various messages which impact people on good or bad way.
Just because we like Karanvir. we cannot ignore the story which could affect peoples mind.
I dont think dadi should go because viraj needs to stop ruling jhanivi. he cannot always do what he wants. he should get an anwser either from jhanvi or dadi

I can understand what your saying...about dadi even i am surprised about everyone's reaction on this forum...Viraj raped jhanvi, murdered people, burned her feat, scared her to death, hurt that doc, ruined sanjay's life...he is pure evil at the moment...i dont like dadi's methods but i do get that she has no other choice...no one believes what she is saying...she is seeing her daughter being tortured but keeping a happy face, the only way left is to make him so mad that he breaks and people can see his truth...I doubt i saw enough posts on viraj abusing jhanvi being wrong compared to killing dadi and not liking her because she teased viraj a little bit...

On the other hand regarding jhanvi not standing up...that is pretty normal...viraj is not just an abusive husband but he is totally sick due to his childhood trauma...he is raised not to trust anyone...he is very manipulative...he has made jhanvi so confused...the first episode she was ready to run away and knew viraj was crazy...but as time went by she start doubting herself that she is the reason for abuse and maybe she is doing something wrong and deserves the abuse...now she believes that viraj is normal and loves her...she is not seeing red flags...this things happen to all women who are abused and they dont just stand up for themselves outta nowhere...there has to be something really major to make them strong...the most strong, educated and rich women have become like jhanvi...so something big needs to happen to wake her up...

i guess they need to build a story and show much abuse so even viewers feel like jhanvi cant take it anymore...I think what audience should take from this show at this point is to not get married their daughter to the first guy that comes along...dont go by first impression or status and wealth..do a background check on them...get to know them...see if your daughter is happy after marriage...it also shows that a woman like jhanvi needs all the support she can get from her family members and friends...

Agree with all, especially that highlighted in red.

for me..dadi is doing right...she wants to save her grand daughter from that animal...
my openion is that whether u agree or not but if husband treats his wife brutally from the first day of marriage, girls shouldnt hide this from her family but unfortunately we r eastern girl.."maa baap ki izzat"n all always come first in our mind...aur hum kuch nhi kehty apny parents sy...this is totally wrong...this dailysoaps is potraying what is happening in our society...viraj type people r d part of this society...i know girls have a power to endure all things but kab tak???jhanvi is a educated woman so y she is tolerating this brutalness...??man thinks that woman is weak but they dun know she is more powerful than man...jhanvi should standup against viraj...
& i agree with last para of love4 games that parents r faulty also...when a proposal comes some greedy parents only see wealth of a boy...how much he is rich without knowing what his past n all...

Oh thank you. I thought I was the only person in this forum who wanted daadi to succeed in finding out the truth about Viraj. Agreed, that may not happen, cause well, its just been a month since the show's been on air, but i am surprised at the reactions people have when they say, they want daadi to be killed or not be shown.

Agree, Jhanvi thinks she has settled into peaceful matrimony with the news about their child. But this is just the calm before the storm. Viraj is not gonna suddenly turn into an ideal husband and am sure the mental/physical torture would resume. Wouldn't you then want someone from your family to know about his heinous activities?

I want Jhanvi to stand up for herself too. But as I said, that may not happen so early in the show. Hope the DSDDSB team make that as their base story, of Jhanvi either attempting to cure Viraj or save herself from him, instead of being a partially mute spectator, that she has been until now.

I really understand your point of view. KV is excellent and his character reminds me of SRK's characters in Darr and Baazigar. He was evil there but when he dies he gets the audiences' sympathies. That's the power of good performance. KVB can take a bow there.

However dadi ( I know she is actually doing good) is not winning the viewers heart and sympathy because we as an audience like the underdog or a long suffering victim to stand up and strike back. Dadi is neither. Another thing is that the Cvs have made this dadi into a bit of a frivolous character. her table manners were horrid and I fail to see the reason why she is so rude to Viraj's personal staff, be it Geeta or the watchman. To me more than a revered maternal figure, she is nosey parker who is irritating and over excitable. The way she speaks to Geeta just because she is a servant is pathetic !

@ sharmila -

agree with you specially the bold parts !

@ topic starter -

We would have loved if we have seen that Jahnvi gets the courage to stand against Viraj - whether she gives him an opportunity to mend his ways or fight with him with help of her family - whatever might have been the case, the serial would have been a right track and would have given the right message.

But here, CVs are trying to create too much of a melodrama - they could have explored Viraj's insecurities and his possessiveness, Viraj-Jahnvi's complicated love-hate relationship - but they are gradually turning Viraj into cunning villain and not an abusive, mentally ill husband.

Agree with liv4games.
You have to understand there is moral in a story in every turn.
You can't expect people to start a program and end it the next day.

And for those people who wants to kill dadi... Hmm really don't know about that. I think they are not thinking logically.

You can not predict just from one or two people taking about dadi killing in a wrong way.
Indians population is not represented by two people and that to on a Indian forum.

thanks guys for commenting in the topic.
Luvs4game I agree with you complettly but seieing the topics about killing dadi and making her go away is completlty wrong. I know this show cannot survive without karanvir but I think viraj should get a the punishment even I want jhanvi to speak up but she is right now not mentally prepared. So Dadi should find out the truth.
Guys If viraj could take peoples life and abuse his wife then why cant dadi be nosy to find out the truth?
Being nosy is better than taking someone life. Being a little bit mean to someone is better than abusing someone so much

It's not only about punishing Viraj - it's also about who is punishing and why?

First of all - Jahnvi has been shown to accept everything just for sake of her family - because she thought that Viraj is helping her family. That makes Jahnvi's character little lame -

Why does every serial shows that an ideal woman accepts everything for sake of her family and only revolts when her near ones/family gets affected?
This serial should have shown Jahnvi to stand up for her own sake and not after learning about Viraj's plan against Gangadhar.

Secondly - Daadi's character, as sarcozee has pointed out in another topic - is also doing all her activities because she never liked Viraj.

Though I am not asking for Dadi's departure from this world but definitely, her jasoosigiri is not something most of us wanted - in fact those who want Dadi to get out of the scene, had also demanded to see a strong, firm Jahnvi and expected a Jahn-Vi battle and not a dadisaas-damaad saga! 🥱
