Call it restlessness, insomnia, an irresistable urge/compulsion to pen down my thoughts ...but here I am sharing my thoughts with you ..
Obviously I loved 'THE DOOR ' scene ...
ASR who hitherto was latching on to even trivial excuse to avoid seeing Khushi now seeks reasons to go to her , to talk to her, to touch her ...Y'day was no exception as he got a legitimate reason to approach her one more time, to fill his eyes with her lovely face illuminated with that radiant smile which warmed and continues to warm his cold heart ..
Khushi puts her hands on the handle to open the door, Arnav immediately pulls it close..One last resistance , Although a token one is given preventing her from opening the doors of his heart ...For Arnav is intent on foreplay, He wants to, seeks to know whether Khushi is fully prepared to accept and armed to withstand the pressure and depth of his love...For his love by virtue of being unconditional , pure & intense will burn her soul , will become intolerable if she is ill prepared ...He Prepares her to accept his love by slowly awakening the latent emotions buried within Khushi's heart , tries to unfurl the closed petals of her heart, make her aware of the feelings that she has for HIM that is now in abeyance , probe those feelings , understand them and accept them !!...That is the Goal of ASR ...
Consequently he sets on his mission ...He softly almost making it seem like a taunt compliments her on her performance , then he states
Lekin Yahan bhi Meri zaroorat pad gayi, Meri bina tho jaise koi baat banthi hi nahi tumhari [ But then You needed me in ur performance too, it's as if ur day is incomplete without thinking about me ]
Arnav is trying to hint that Khushi needs him, wants him wishes him in his life ...Unknown to her, her life, thoughts have begun to revolve around him , She talks about him, remembers him be it in anger or fear, happiness or sadness..her first instinctive thought is about him ..
A cowardly Khushi tries to take his words superficially, refusing to look at the inner meaning ..she flippantly retorts that she is glad he liked the performance and reminds him about the bet !! Arnav gives a knowing smile , for he too once upon a time was running away from his real feelings and he can recognize the signs...but ASR is not in a mood to relent ..ASR retorts,
Pehle hi ithna kuch kehchukki ho ...[ You already have said what u expect from me ]
Means Arnav has already got what Khushi wants him to do .. He has understood her desire, [ the smile is wiped off Khushi's face..
To make sure that she knows he has understood what he wants ..he slowly walks towards her, putting ehr on the backfoot, uncomfortable , Arnav huskily reminds her , his intense eyes burning into her soul
"Laptop se " ..Cleverly he does not complete the sentence and gazes in to her eyes, drowning in that beaming laser like eyes, eyes which are trying to convey a subtle message ..Khushi hesitantly finishes the sentence ...Arnav nods his head saying he got the message of the ' Engagement thing ' and the need for him to loosen up !
Aathon pahar dil pe hai taale [ You have locked ur heart throughout the day ] ...An highly discomfited Khushi begins to feel the heat , she begins to understand that this is not a ordinary conversation but a sublime one, she realizes that this is a courtship ritual..one as old as time itself ...She tries to move away but Arnav corners her and stressing the words repeats the same line again.. He is clearly telling her that his heart which was locked is open as she wished ..it is up to her Now !! ..Khushi completes the stanza by reciting Kya karen hasna bhi na jaane, Arnav accepts that too ,understands that Khushi wishes to see him smiling, laughing ...This then are the conditions of KKG ...But what use if KKG blissfully remains unaware of the true import of their conversation ...SO ASR begin to rectify that omission .
Arnav quietly and with due emphasis points out that Khushi unknowingly, unconsciously has been observing him closely , noticing him to such an extent that she knows his habits. He is so important to her that she has absorbed his foible of eating parantha with fork...which brings a outburst of denial from Khushi..But Arnav will not have it, He pointedly asks her why then did not Khushi pretend to be ASR..Why did she choose to be the partner of ASR...Khushi has no answer ...was it bec she wanted to be one in real life.
The conversation then meanders to the point where each point at the supposed flaw ..with Arnav touching Khushi's head saying that Khushi has no Brain ..That she thinks with her heart and is always liable to get hurt ..A stung Khushi walks up to Arnav, ripostes that she does not want to be like him and Khushi pointedly touches his heart reminds him that he does not have a heart [ I loved the small gulp that Arnav gives as soon as Khushi touches him ] .. with his closed heart, he will never know the colors of life and that his life will always be monochrome ... A telling scene where each inadvertently point out others flaws not knowing that the remedy for this flaw lies within one another and that they balance one another , together make a perfect whole
