Part 28

Geet closed her eyes in defeat because the person for whom she has been waiting never came for her rescue.

The man standing in front of her smiled as he forwarded his hand to slip ring in her hand when the lights went off. There was so much darkness around her. Beeje left her hand and Geet looked around in trance hoping him to be there.

She dropped the ring that she was holding tightly. It seemed to so heavy in her hands that she wanted to get rid of it as soon as possible.

The next moment she heard the gunshot at the back of the hall. Someone shot the chandelier breaking it into numerous pieces.

Everyone's attention was diverted and some people standing there started to run in the darkness colliding with each other.

Before geet could comprehend the whole situation someone covered her mouth and started to drag her from there. She threw her hands fanatically in the air to save herself but the person dragged her out of there.

She tried to free herself and in process bit the hand of the person that was covering her mouth. He yelped in pain and released her instantly.

Geet turned around to find that the person's face was covered with black mask and he was holding his bitten hand and cursing her in pain.

Maan..!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She yelled when she felt a strong grip on her shoulder and the next moment he jerked her to face her and there the person for whom she has been waiting madly was standing. His eyes were furious with rage and his hands were trembling with anger as he looked at her and then at the person who was wearing the mask and who dragged her out of the hall.

With one swift moment he covered her with his body acting as barrier between her and the masked man.

How dare you..!!!!!!! He punched the masked man and the next moment he was lying on the ground yelping in pain.

Boss..! yash rushed from behind

Can't you handle a simple situation when I am gone..! Maan turned and targeted yash.

I couldn't even complete my task and I had to come back after your stupid phone call. What on earth is your problem..? His voice was harsh as he kicked the person lying on the ground.

Boss actually someone tried to attack her yesterday also and I couldn't track them and I thought I couldn't handle the situation so I called you and kuljeet handa is going to get her married in two days and among so many guests how can we make out who is guest and who is attacker and once she leave from here she won't be our responsibility.

They will attack her and finish her off as soon as she marries and step out from here.

Nothing will happen to her..! I will take her from here until she is safe. Maan roared and then his attention was diverted to the masked man

He wanted to beat life out of this man for touching her but then he looked at geet who was pale and blank and then he realized that she won't be able to see so much violence so he decided to leave the masked man at yash mercy.

Yash you know what you have to do..? He asked yash

Yes boss..! yash answered confidently.

Good..! Maan murmured as he grabbed geet's hand to take her from there.

Yash thumped to ground holding his heart as soon as Maan left from there.

Haye baba jee..! Masked man lying on the ground cried while taking his mask off his face.

Haye baba jee..! Is that man made of iron..??????? I hate you yash..! You told me just to grab geet from there so that maan thinks she is again being attacked but he was about to kill me. Adi complained holding his stomach in pain.

What he would have done if he would have known that it was our fake plan to bring him back and moreover we faked an attack on geet too.. He would have shredded us into pieces in minutes. Adi was still in shock for being beaten by maan.

If you think he won't know..! You are mistaken..! Yash told him

He already doubted me when he left. He has a sharp hearing, sharper eyes and sharpest mind. Yash sighed

But instead of confirming he took geet with him and didn't confirm his doubts. It means.. yash was thinking hard

What..?? adi asked

It means that he was looking for a chance to take her from here. He needed an excuse and we gave him that and remember it is not possible to dodge maan singh khurana so easily.

It means he is in love with her. Yash told adi in excitement.

Yeah he loves her and she loves him. But at the end I would be in no state to love anyone. I highly doubt I would be able to attend my own engagement without fear after all this. Adi said as he tried to get up from the floor.

Maan shoved her in car and started to drive the car. She was still in trance and didn't utter a single word.

Maan Monologue:

The moment I entered the hall and saw ring in her hand, my mind burned with an unknown and powerful rage and fury. I wanted to kill that person standing in front of her.

I wanted to sway her away from everyone. She is only mine..! Only mine..!

Nothing made sense at that moment. I was a mad man deprived of all rationality. I could have spoiled everything within seconds. All my efforts and all my work that I have been planning against handa would have gone into drain in mere seconds.

But at that point I least cared about anything, then I saw how she forwarded her hand. It was an unbearable sight. I thought she did have some feelings for me. May be not strong enough but she did feel something..! But I couldn't believe how easily she forwarded her hand.

I clenched my fists as whole scene replayed in front of my eyes again.

But she was not happy..! She seemed to be lost..! I tried to argue but maybe I felt so because I wanted it to be that way.

I looked at her from corner of my eyes. She seemed to be lost in her thoughts. I increased the speed to reach the farmhouse soon.

And now I had to face the most important question..

What I was planning to do with her..?

I have collected documents I needed to use against handa while I was securing the security system and now I had everything needed to expose his real face infront of whole world. And that would be enough to destroy him and his political career.

But what about her..? I asked myself and I had no clear answer.

I doubted yash the moment he called me that some people tried to attack geet. I know he was lying because I had no information about such thing. But still I decided to go there and make sure myself.

And now I realize the attack on her was also fake because those underworld people are not stupid enough to send one person to kidnap her and that too such a weak person who went flat with my single punch.

Oh God but still I pretended to believe them because that was my only excuse to bring her here with me..!

But I can't let her involve with me more since I have to destroy that handa as soon as possible. I am sure that the people who are behind her life are no longer danger for her. I tried to reason but I knew somewhere that I won't be able to leave her and I was not a saint or good man who could see her marrying to someone else.

I closed my eyes since everything was becoming more ambiguous than ever.

End of Monologue

He stopped the car when they reached the farmhouse. He opened her door and flinched in pain to see her expression.

Geet..! He called her but there was no reply

Geet..! He caressed her cheeks and turned her face towards him.

There is nothing to worry. I am here..! ok..? He told her intently but what next happened was never expected.

I Love you..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She told him looking deep into his eyes.

Maan Man Made In Iron, too coo-el!!!! 👏👏👏👏 Anniee, I pity the poor man who tried to touch Geet, I can almost imagine his state as half dead probably in the next update - who knows maybe completely bolted under Maan Singh Khurana's arm 😆😆😆😆 Anniee you're awesome girl, ahhh...Maan's monologue was simply perfect 👏
