@Avidfan - I appreciated your point of view. My cousin too who has traveled all over India, lately told me, that girls from UP and Rajastan, have scored high in the universities. I think, we should have progressive writers in our country, who are aware of social transformation that is needed, so that all can have a piece of the cake of progress.
I regard the talent of our actors and actresses, very highly. The quality of their work, and the way the respond to the direction is great. The same person may fare differently in different serials since, the difference is not in what the actor offers, but the wanting in the talent of directors, and other crew. The writer is the guiltiest element, who does not perform well. If you make a comparative study of the way the shots are taken, in Sapno Se bhare Naina, Dia aur Baati, and Na Bole Tum, you will know what I mean, and then compare this with the other so called popular serials. The reason is the audience, the profit minded channel managers, and our inclination to succumb to pressure of money and muscle. The last serial has just started on Colors, and the writer is Venita Coelho, who is also the current creative head of Endemol. If we get writers like this, and the pool of good writers widens, then we have the jackpot. Our nation can compete with the International set.
@firefly99 - your observations too are good. We should have more positive comments like yours, which means, educated people should participate in the interaction on the Forum. Thank you for your participation.
I am just a welt-wisher of good cinema in our Country.
