The week begun with action packed episode..Things began to roll after weeks and weeks inertia..just when we were resigning ourselves to the fact the ME will initiate explosions..The CV's took us by surprise , They started firing from today's episode itself...
The first sniper attack ...Maami went snipe, snipe snide at the hapless Gupta's, trying to rub their noses and their Gifts to the ground..while Raizada family barring the short tempered Arnav who was otherwise employed in the kitchen acting as if they were carved from wax and were relics of Madame Tussad's .. Akash sufficiently warmed up to defend Gupta's and maintaining his Mother's non-existent Pride too... Before Manodrama could think of a crushing retort to shut her Son, Akash was given a further boost from Arnav who by praising the company instead of the gift made it seem that the Gupta's at least were on par with Raizada's unlike Payal's MIL ...This quite successfully kept Maami very quiet..
The second Sizzling Sniper attack was a domestic encounter carried amongst Tea making .. Khushi takes a deep breath and says that She will do whatever Arnav tells her to do [ if she loses her breath]..for a split second, Arnav is staggered, dumbstruck at her self belief and also at her faith & trust on him !!..A look of admiration at the Gutsy lady as she moves past him to prepare the Tea..He again seeks to needle her, undermine her confidence but Khushi has taken the plunge and she presents a very brave front... Arnav calmly intimidates her again saying that he will speak about the bet only AFTER she has lost the competition..not If ..not When but AFTER ..So sure is he of victory..!!..he again pauses, with a dangerous but not menacing husky tone, he again asks.."u will do anything right " !!..Unnerved by the tone, by the loaded look and comment , a ruffled Khushi breathes out, ' Anything'
How many times will they shoot the same scene cos I felt the hunar, paisa, naachna dialogue was repetitive and was shot from various angle to get the maximum effect ...Will the dialogue ," I never regret " come to bite her when her part in hiding the Shyam fiasco is revealed !!..I so wish Khushi to lose this competition ..but with Bichoo as an added factor , will it be a tame draw !!
As a smug, confident Arnav moves out, he is halted by Khushi, a khushi who has regained her wits , is on Terra firma now, She bounces of the very Q's he posed her.. as usual Arnav gives his Destiny Spiel but Khushi will not be shut by it, she points out the various instances when Arnav said something but acted quite opposite to his stated intention ..A irked Arnav rashly promises to do anything that Khushi asks him to do.. Khushi can't resist herself, she pointedly asks " Anything"..Arnav says ' Anything" ...The two Juvenile Kids shake each others hands sealing the deal when fracas breaks out in the hall..Donning their Maturity mantle both step out to deal with the kids again..The family take leave ..Khushi graciously sends them all out except Arnav , who stays behind as if he has the right ...Khushi says,"we will meet tomorrow".. not a query, not a question..but a statement made with authority, of right, of confidence and Arnav accepts it as if it is her right to meet him, a look of silent acceptance of her , her assurance and her challenge ..he leaves carrying within him the hope that come tomorrow he will be seeing her again !!
Here I would say that although Sanaya was good with her cool, calm, composed retort befitting her nature n spunky attitude as Khushi..It was Barun who stole a march with the way he use his eyes to emote ..be it a hint of mischief, confidence, arrogance, anger, the competitive spirit..the condescension ,,he managed all this with his eyes ...I liked the way they came..She trailing after him..both standing together ..away from the family.. He acting as the main oak tree supporting both families while she stood closer to the family acting as the proverbial bridge..
Next comes 3rd insidious Sniper attack ;Shyam, who had been ogling Khushi so brazenly with his infra red Binoculars , hence the reason why his blatant goggling goes unnoticed by the whole family who had congregated in the room ... has come up with the latest idea given by the witches of Macbeth..Since it is recession time, their idea too has been scaled down to suit the demands of time and in Shyam's case it has been heavily influenced by Amar Chithra Katha too [Children's story book] ..he carefully and lovingly places his cousin the Scorpion onto a Sweet box..affectionately informs the scorpion about his bounden duty and leers at the victim to reinforce his commands to the scorpion..The unmoving Scorpion stays like a toy in one corner without moving an inch...Shyam closes it and readies to close down another human's chapter !!
Meanwhile..The Raizada's decide to go Rajshrii way and decide on family foto ..a brief tender moment when Anjali quotes a rhyme that gets Arnav to smile .. ASR might be confident , smug but Khushi rattles him and we saw a chink being exposed when he reiterates to NK that they HAVE TO HAVE TO win... A aggressive competitive spirit not taking any chances ensuring that all the pawns are in correct working condition's..Arnav came back when Anjali begins to tease him with Khushi...He could not retaliate with sufficient ammunition , to counter Anjali's comments that he agreed bec of Khushi..So he walks away ...Interesting that Anjali's brain suddenly saw a growth spurt and she connected the dots and commented in the presence of NK, The Cupid..NK The Jodi maker !!
The first sniper attack ended without drawing blood , the second holds promise while the third sniper may actually be dud !!
