I want you all to express your views on it! Different people have have different opinions about a women's life. Some of you might be a housewife, a mother, a daughter , a wife, a sister or even a widow i want you all to tell me that if a woman loses her husband is that the end of a woman's life?? Can't she again bring back colors in her life?? Should it be seen as a betrayal to her husband?? Should it be seen as a non-society thing?? This society which makes life hell for a widow what this show is tying to covey us...should we care about it?? I hope this shows help more megha's in this world... This story is about a khati-meethi love story of megha-mohan but also tries us to show the pain of a widow's life...Please do tell you views. 😊

Nice post it is. 😊
Nothing is permanent in this world and some changes are irreversible and hence can create a vacuum. Life is really long to be tread alone and according to me every person has the right to stay happy. If we talk about life after death then Megha's husband wd want her to stay happy. If we compare the betrayal with the responsibilities a widow has towards her kids, if any, towards herself then ofcourse the responsibilities overshadow it all. There are moments in life when along with emotional support you need someone's physical presence tht inspires you to move on. So I think if a widow remarries then it is not a cardinal sin infact it is a wise decision. Time is a great healer and past has to fade eventually.

Nice post Megha!! According to me a women has full right to live her life wether she is a widow or not! Ofcourse the society would look with a negative POV and will talk rubbish about her but after some time maybe a year or so all willbe fine everyone would accept her and her life and if she lives alone i think it would be biggest mistake of her life to spend such a big life alone!!

An awesome topic by u Megha👏
i completely agree with Manasi and Pooja's views..!

i am sure.. megha will hesitate n will try to refuse to accept that she has fallen in love with someone else... she will feel it might be an insult to amar n his memories...

So.. here i want the scenes from the Hindi Movie 'Tum Bin' to be shown... where Pia the heroine refuses to let go of her love for her ex-fiance Amar who dies in an unfortunate accident..
In pia's dream sequence.. amar tells her to let go of him😳
the whole of amar's dialog's to pia is jst awesome👏 Pls. listen to the video once at-least guys..😊

Edit:
Full dialogue which was not there in the first video...
where he says @ 1.37

'Woh accha lagta hai na...Mujhe bhi...!' 😳
that was just Aweeesome!!

Megha comes from an enlightened household, and their marriage was one of love. They had a 11 year old marriage which got interrupted tragically. Her father in law has a nobler attitude to her, while her mother in law is bound to tradition. However the sister of her father in law is very supportive. The best thing is her little daughter Navita is the wisest of all, and thinks beyond her age. This is the world in which she will hurl her mother, and she will learn to swim in it as well.

Old has always given way to new. It is forced upon the people by events not only in the local communities but also by the world trends, which are open to go where they like in this Globalized environment.

I personally believe, Megha should have a free voice in making her choice. The society has nothing to give her, and she has no need of this restrictive society. She has friends like Prerana, who are thinking in the same wave length as her and are more capable than the restrictive forces which want to hold her back.

As far as this show is concerned, I don't think anyone in the samaj or otherwise has tried to stop Megha from moving on in life. The mother-in-law is upset but not because Megha is a "widow who shouldn't move on" - she was upset at Megha because of the manner in which (she thought) Megha chose to let them know that she wanted to get married.. Through a news paper article. In public. Making a joke out of them. And that enraged her because it seemed like Megha was desperate to get out of the house and was ready to marry ANYONE who showed up at their door step - I can understand why the mother-in-law would see that as an insult to her son's devotion/love for Megha. The manner in which the situation came to light was one of the main reason for the mother-in-law's dislike of the idea. I am sure if Megha goes up to her and talks to her one-on-one about her wanting to get married and having a shot at happiness (if and when she decided to have this conversation), that there won't be any major resistance from her part. I think. And so far the show and the interactions have given me no reason to think otherwise.

So as far as just this show goes, there has been no suggestion that the "samaj" will stand up against Megha's desire to remarry. I'm sure there will be gossip, but woh toh har baat pe hoti hai and is the norm of society these days. However, no one will physically try to restrain Megha from pursuing her happiness or REALLY think any less of her if she does. And people who do think less of her because of it would probably be the ones who think less of everyone who does anything a.k.a. the gossip queens of the world.

Megha has not taken it lying down. She is going to confront Mohan, as was shown in the precap. Perhaps in the next episode, the plot will unravel more, and everyone's intentions will become clearer. So far, only Nanhi's actions are visible which has kept the ball rolling.

It is nice to see, that the discussion ball too is rolling nicely.

I don't think society is against widow remarriage. But may not be very encouraging either. I mean my mother who watches this show with me is not very supportive of megha's marriage as she thinks megha has two children and if she marries again the children may face problems in future. But basically from what i know of my mom, she just giving reasons for rejecting window marriage idea. She is very conventional. But she also cannot outrightly say that widows should not remarry. But at the same time she doesn't think ill or avoid women, who have married again. So its a little bit paradoxical.

There are some widows in our family circle, who have remarried even in the early 60's(that too they were from small village down south of Tamilnadu). I have not seen anyone taunting them. Maybe their In-laws may have said some bad things. That i think is more because of loss of their own son. They dont want to move on and they dont want the girl to move on too. Here megha's MIL is also doing the same.

I think Megha's MIL was against Amar-megha marriage and they married against the wish of the family. He went to Bhopal against his mom's wish too and eventually met his end there. So she blames megha for her son's death. So she is upset that amar did so much for her and megha is ready to forget her son. Thats why she is against this marriage. I dont think she will be supportive in future. But she clarified in last episode itself that if megha wanted to remarry she wont stop her. She didn't like it that it came as shocking Ad and that upset her everyone.

Here in serial too i dont think society is against megha's marriage. Renu's friend who came to inform about the Ad, saw it as clever idea of renu to get megha out of the house. That itself shows renu's friend doesn't think anything very wrong about widow remarriage. Some ppl may gossip. ppl gossip about love marriage too and infact everything about their neighbours.
