It's a corporate world. This is what I've learned from today's huge blunder in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa EMAET.
As had been shown, Sharib and Banjyotsna were leading in the culminating 3 weeks of the finale. They had a margin lead over Ujjaini and Aishwarya. However, apparently in the fourth week, UA took over, when this is just not possible, because BS were approximately 1 lakhs ahead of UA at the end of the third week, and the fourth week consisted of the Delhi and Kolkata shows. In the fourth week, BS simply BLEW UA away. BS were at the height of it all -- they were stunning in their performances, had the best songs, their singing was just incredible, and UA sucked in both shows MAJORLY. I am sorry to say this, but UA completely screwed up the shows in Delhi and Kolkata. Ujjaini, with her shaking her hips and jumping all around the stage looked idiotic, and Aishwarya proved that he just simply didn't have that X-factor that Sharib has when performing. Sharib simply grabs the audience and is a complete rockstar.
In order for UA to have won, they had to have filled the 1-lakh gap between them and BS and further more, OVERTAKE them in the votes. How is this possible, when in the fourth week BS were at the height of their popularity with all of their 7's (three 7's in a ROW from Hariharan) from the groovy gurus. Even on this forum, about 90% of the topics were supporting BS and 10% were supporting UA from my observations. BS kicked ass in the fourth week like anything.
In my opinion, the winner was decided by the Corporate team. They were sitting in the finale, judging who they wanted to star in their own music video and movie songs, and in the finale, it seemed as if Sharib and Banjo were tired, however Ujjaini and Aishwarya were quite energetic. Nobody thought that the Corporate team was sitting there judging the jodis, least of all Sharib, so he wasn't putting in all the effort he had during the shows in Delhi and Kolkata because the voting lines had been closed, and so it didn't matter anymore. The voting was done, therefore all the performances in the finale didn't matter. However, what he didn't realize was that the Corporate team was sitting there judging who they liked more between the two, and in the finale, UA were jumping around like anything still, and BS were more relaxed. In fact, Sharib seemed tired to me, and he has a reason too, as the schedule for them is absolutely gruelling. Sharib is so small and tiny and skinny -- he's clearly not as jaandar as Ujjaini, Aishwarya, and Banjyotsna, and he seemed to be missing a little of his spark today in the finale.
And why didn't they disclose the fourth week votes? Normally they announce the winner by saying how many votes they got in total...The public has the absolute right to know exactly how many votes UA won by. How did they overtake BS in the fourth week, when they were absolutely attrocious and BS were freakin' amazing? BS was leading for the past 3 weeks, and all of a sudden in the last week UA took it over? How is that possible? Show the proof - show the votes. I was actually shocked to see that they didn't announce the vote difference between the two.
At the end of the day, the Corporate team, I feel, picked the winner. They sponsored a large part of the show, and money talks, so at the end of the day they picked UA. And it doesn't help the fact that Bipasha is Bengali, as is Ujjaini. Corporate picked who they wanted, and left the rightful winners behind.
Sharib is flawless, no one matches him. Ujjaini and Aishwarya are absolutely nothing compared to Sharib. Sharib and Banjyotsna were SO much cooler, hipper, and much more versatile. Peppy songs or slow songs, they ruled it all. Sharib and Banjyotsna were the rightful winners. This is garbage. It's a shameful corporate world.
