Actress Kratika Sengar aka Rani Laxmibai will now be seen opposite Gurmeet Choudhary in a mature love story
Actress Kratika Sengar catapulted to fame with the historical show Jhansi Ki Rani. Now she is back on the tube to star opposite Gurmeet Choudhry of Geet fame. The show titled Punar Vivah (produced by Shashi-Sumeet Mittal) will see Kratika playing a contemporary Bhopal girl named Smriti. It will delve into the dynamics of re-marriage and its trials and tribulations with kids involved.

We hear that Kratika is looking forward to her new role. "People still recognise me as Rani Laxmibai and after having essayed such a popular historical figure, it will be very interesting to be playing a mature role," she says. Didn't she fear getting typecast post JKR? "Typecasting doesn't exit anymore. Even Gurmeet made his debut as Lord Ram in Ramaayan. If you are good at your work, you will get good offers," she asserts. Welcome back!
