It's much harder for me since I was born and raised in California but once I found Bollywood (thanks to the Khans of course) I RARELY pick a Hollywood movie over the Bollywood product. Hollywood people just don't interest me. They try so hard to be either life sized or "smaller than life" and guess what---they succeed! Back before the size zero/half white weirdness hit Bollywood I totally adored seeing movies with interesting and beautiful people who---GASP---looked like individuals!!!
To be honest I can barely tell one Hollywood actor from another unless there's something...anything...unique about them, they mostly look pasty pale and pinch faced to me. Sorry, but they do, with the fake, eerie white teeth, breastless, skinny, raw boned women who look like concentration camp survivors and men with about as much sex-appeal as a stump!
Gimme SRK over weird looking Tom Cruise anyday!
God's honest truth is that without SRK I wouldn't have found Bollywood and from what I hear if he goes so does a huge chunk of the overseas market.
Admittedly some of the content in B'wood films is foul but really had I sat through some sad crap like RaOne with one of those Clooneys or Afflecks in the lead (not that I would have even BOTHERED going but let's pretend) I would have been enraged and really resented the time wasted in the theater.
With SRK in the lead all I could say was "Sure the movie sucked but...sighhh...Ohhh SRK...I love my sweet little kishmish!!!!!!"
And yeah, that's a direct quote from me on the drive home.😆
