43. Kidnapped
The face of the beautiful didi was making Shekhu uneasy. He knew the look of panic he had seen in that face... the same kind his mother used to have. Now she only did a lot of staring...and smiled too sometimes. Bhaiya and Pari di said that meant his aayi was getting better. He looked at her toying with the food, which she pushed away on seeing his eyes on her.
"ek aur piece, maa. Toh poora ek roti hojayegha. Dekho aaj aapki pasand ki sabji bhi hein na." He tried to feed her. She turned her face away. "meri achchi maa hei na?" he tried again but she was adamant.
"Teek hei , mein Pari di ko bol dunga." Even that didn't seem to do the trick.
His mind wandered back to the incident he witnessed in the morning. He had heard his brother hurrying out after receiving a call and he decided to follow on curiosity. He wondered if his brother was back to secretly seeing Tanu di. Instead he had seen his brother with his friend Mahohar. His brother lay down on the road as if he was hurt and when the driver of the car came to assist them mahohar had hit him on the head. Then when that didi had gotten out and started pleading, they made her smell something and she became unconscious. They then carried both the people in the car and drove off. He wondered where they were taking her. She was going to have a baby too. He couldn't believe his brother had done such a bad thing. But how cud he betray his own brother? He was not like this before. It was only after he became friends with that Manohar that his brother had changed. Wouldn't his brother be arrested if he informed the police? He wanted to help that didi. He looked at the broken phone that belonged to that didi. May be Pari di will know what to do...

The car caring the unconscious Geet travelled towards the outskirts of Delhi. Bhaskar toyed with the rudraksh at his neck.
"Are you sure she is alright? She hasn't even moved a bit afterwards."
"Stop worrying Bhaskar! She is sleeping due to chloroform."
"Are you sure it won't affect the baby?"
Manohar laughed, "you should hear yourself! When you are in this business you are not supposed to care. Why should it matter to you if the drug affects the woman or the baby?"
"But..."
"Stop, Baskhar! You should think about only one thing i.e. the money we are getting for this. Else you are no good for this field."
"I didn't know we were going to kidnap a pregnant woman..."
"So? Does that bring you any less money? Don't you want to repay your debts? This woman is the wife of some big shot... He is not going to miss the money he has to pay for ransom. The only thing that upsets me is that while we take the risk someone else is going to get the bulk of the money..." he turned to look at Bhasker, "but don't worry friend it won't be long before we get to call the shots... the power, the money everything will be beneath our feet." He hit his friend playfully on the shoulder, "that is if you can overcome your sissy hear!"
Bhasker just smiled. Manohar was right, he thought. This was not the time for his conscience. It was true that he didn't know that he was to kidnap a pregnant woman. But then if it was not him then someone else would have done it...he needed to think only about his family...hadn't he tried to find a proper job? But he realized that his certificates were of no value before recommendations. After his father's death the responsibility of the family was on his shoulders. He had to take care of his mother and his brother. Witnessing Baba's murder was such a shock to his mother that she was still lost to the world. What manohar said was right...he had enough worries of his own and didn't need to add more with the concern over this woman. He will accompany Manohar to hand over the woman to the people who hired them to kidnap her, take the money and forget all about her.

The woman hadn't regained consciousness even while they transferred her to the abandoned building. It worried him to no end. Had he given her more than the necessary dose. He didn't like the men who were waiting for them. They had a mean look about them. Who was he trying to fool? All goons had a mean look. Yet there was such hatred in the eyes of the one called Rajveer when he looked at the woman. He was sure the Rajveer guy knew hr from before. Thinking about it made him nervous. He raised his hand automatically to toy with the Rudraksh. Only it was not there. He remembered holding it while he was at the building while Manohar got into an argument with the men about money.
"Forget that there is such a building here ...you don't remember the way to this place, if you know what is good for you ..." the threat echoed in his ears.
But he couldn't leave his Rudraksh...it was his baba's!

"I can't wait to see the b***h's face when she wakes up. I say we pour water on her." Rajveer was pacing up and down the length of the table.
"Relax. Let the woman sleep...it will be the last peaceful one she will be having." The man sitting at the table drinking laughed and a third person joined in.
"We have her secure and she is not going to escape. So you can have your fun once to she wakes up." The third man bent down inspect Geet . She looks 'mast' even with her bump...must have been yummy at 15. You lucky swine!"
"Yes ...can't blame a man for wishing for a feast when it looked so appetizing." The other man too joined in to peer at Geet who was dumped on the floor. He then turned back to look at Rajveer. "But why is Brij late?"
"Yeah... she was so tempting and when I acted on that invitation she dared to get me arrested ...Me, Rajveer Chadda. Now I need to teach her the lesson that no one messes with me...she will bleed tears for every moment I spend behind the bars!"
"So have you planned what you are going to do? It won't be long before her husband realizes she is missing. From what I have learned Maan Singh Khurana will not leave any stone unturned until he gets back his wife."
"Don't worry. Nothing that Maan Singh Khurana finds will lead to us. And we will be out of Delhi by then." He emptied his glass, "no amount of drink will give the 'nasha' of imagining what I have planned for her..." He laughed. "We will sell her off once we have had our fill...There won't be a single man in red street who wouldn't have enjoyed her booty... the only thing that irritates me about the plan is that we will have to wait until her b*****d is born. Brij knows someone who pays well for new born babies."
A noise of movement from outside alerted him. "Who's there?" Rajveer asked as he moved towards the door. But before he could find out the source of the noise, a moan from Geet distracted him. He turned to stand in front of her and shoved her with his foot to bring her to full awareness.
"Hello Geetu..." he bent down to leer at a Geet whose expression of disorientation changed to one of horror.
now i think u r ready to chase me with sharp object😆...but some of my friends did know the chapter of Brij was not closed... sorry for the delay in post due to some issues... the woes of a mother who has a tween son😭 ... u can't seem to convince him to tell u what u will get to know anyways😕...enough of the melancholic state of my mind...the next part..ummm..i not giving any promises for a fast update coz i never seem to be able to do what i promise in advance😕... will update FL too...😃
