A: We have a lot of girls posting questions on the website for you. How do cope with all the female attention that you get.
I love the female attention (laughs)
A: I bet you do (laughs)
K: (laughs) No, I don't have to go through anything yaa, I mean they're all there, and..I think much of the female attention is about everybody who's given me so much love you know..They're the main reason I keep moving, I'm a very lazy person otherwise. But whenever I think about all these people who've given me so much support, so much of love, even when I'm not on air, even if I'm goofing up on screen, there are these people who have always loved me. You know. So many people, and when I think about them, it gives me a lot of energy to get up and get moving and start working again. (He's such a darling..)
A: Have you ever had any of your fans do anything really crazy or bizarre to get your attention?
K: haaa'there are two things yaa..one was you know a girl, and she sort of sent a, you know how a handkerchief?
A: yeah
K: she wrote something on the handkerchief with her own blood.
A: Oh My goodness
K: it never got to me, so I'm not fully aware of what it was. But yes the channel had called me, this was when my first show went on air, after about 4 or 3 months. They said something like that happened but we're gotten rid of it. And there was another girl who'd gotten into a lot of trouble at her place, because she wants to get married to me apparently, and she's refusing all the proposals that are coming (laughs). She's right here in Ludhiana, about one hour away from where I am right now in Punjab. So many crazy things yaa. But I find them quiet funny, why would anybody do that for somebody like me.
A: how does it make you feel when you hear things like that?
K: blood letter was kind of freaky, but ahhh'.yeah I mean you know'it depends yaa..sometimes you know..for example, there was this lukemea patient somewhere in Bangladesh, and a doctor emailed me saying she has a patient you know a seven year old girl, she's not gonna live for very long time. And she's got lukemea and she's a big fan of yours, can you just write something for her, and i.. or'you feel so nice.i mean...i even offered to fly down and meet her where ever you are and meet her and everything. And she said no u dnt need to do that, just send me a recording or something. I made a nice video for her and send it to her. It made me feel really nice if you can help somebody get a smile on their faces. That's all we do, as actors you're entertaining ppl, you make sure you're entertaining people you're makingsure they're having good time and they're smiling.
A: now let's go back to beginning, how di dyou get offered the role of Arjun punj in KMH season 1.
K: yeah..everybody knows this. It's quiet of a famous story. I got in touch with ekta kapooron FB and she liked my pictures and she called m to Mumbai and that's how it all started.
A: ok ..di you always want to be an actor

I've been bought up in a family of..you know my mom is a doctoro, my elder sister is a doctor, my second sister is a M.A in psychology, and my third sister is a M.BA in international business and my dad is into business. I was bought up in a way where i always knew that I had to get into business. And you know I had to do MBA and all that. Never ever thought about being an actor. Always used to imagine what it would be..what it would be like being an actor, getting all that attention and being a celebrity. But never' even on a very normal basses u know how everybody thinks about it. But never imagine that I was gonna get into this field and be an actor myself one day.
What was ur familys reaction when u told them u wanted to be an actor
My dad though I'd gone crazy (laughs) no (laughs) yeah..i'm very happy that my parents and my family have really supported me and because I'm the only and I'm suppose to take care of my dad' business and he's almost of the age that he should retire and stay with my mom and have a good time but still he's working so that I can go and get my dream. So I think I'm very thankfull to my parents and my family for supporting me. What ever I'm doing there's never ever a complain about anything like that.
Did you have anything in common with your character arjun punj.
Ha.you know Arjun'.see I think Arjun Singhania, in second season, was actually Karan..he was a gangster, I'm not a gangster but I'm a bit badmash..I love cons, I like pulling ppl you know and doing all that badmashi that he used to do..but..arjun punjj..there were certain things'he used to hate women, and I don't really hate women.(laughs)
A: that's good
(Laughs) but yeah,I think you what happens is when you do a daily soap, after a while the character becomes you and you become the character. It's how you portray a character and how you get that character out. And so Arjun punjj was pretty uch me, but a very larger than life version of me.
What's ur relationship like with ektra kapoor
What's my relationship like with ekta ma'am? I think she's a sweetheart. You know I really really admire her, I think one of the very few women, and I have the most respect for her. And yeah I pretty much love her, for giving me whatever she's given me. For giving me alots, and I know she loves me too.
Your pairing with kritika was very popular. Will we be seeing the pair of you on screen again?
K: you never know yaar. (kaughs)But it hink she's busy with her own show, and I'm busy with my movies. And let's see..you never know.
A: I'm also interested to know what tv shows and tv actors you actually like watching. I know you schedule are quiet insane but when you do get moments to yourself, what sort of things do you like to watch on TV?
K: ah..frankly I'm very much a national geographic, discovery channel..
A: Oh Gosh! You describe urself as a bit of a geek.
K: ahh..i'm not a geek. But yah I dnt watch tv soaps. I swear I don't. I think the only show sometimes I wathc, is KTLK that's kritika's show and that's because she's in it. Aparrt form that all these friens of mine KW or Angar, or all these ppl I know on tv..if theyr'e coming on a show I sometimes stop and watch. Otherwise I hate watching tv soaps.
Now you're doing a movie called PP it's ur first movie I believe. What's the whole experience been like for me.
It's excellent yaaar. It's out of the world, doing a film that too a Punjabi film, my own hometown, you know it's completely different eingin Punjab. You are careless, you can do whatever you want to in Punjab. Basically I've been born and brough up here and I'm doing my first fim here it's quiet a proud moment for me you know..not exactly..it's quiet a proud feeling for me that my first film is a Punjabi film and it's going to be the closest film for the rest of my life.
How nervous are you ahead of the film's realease?

Are you quiet nervous about the film's release?
Don't ask'I'm seriously nervous. You know the screeings have started in mumbia, I'm calling each and everybody who ever I know who have gone through the screenings to know how's the movie, how do I look'(I can't understand what he said in between)..is it gonna be big? do we look Punjabi? '(some things were mumbled as the Anchor was kind of talking on top) 'I'm very nervous'it's my first film, I have to make it big. We've worked extremely hard at it taken a big risk'
You said there's already been a few screeings, what's been the initial feed back.
Ahhh..thankfully the initial feedback's been pretty good. All the ppl watched the film think that it's a great fim and it's gonna do well and it fun andit's young and ..that's it..
Tell me about the character in the fim.
Oh my god..so prem mittel is the loudest character I've portrayed in my life. I've done AJ, Veeru and As. Prem is this loud, OTT totally cute kind of a guy who falls in love everysecond day..he dreams a lot, whenever he ess a girl he starts imagining a life with her. He' very cute. But he's very passionate about his band called Pure Punjabi. He wants to make it big. He wants to make a metal fusion Punjabi kind of a rock band and make it big in that. But his parents, his father really wants him to become a doctor. How he struggles and how he makes it big in life. He's loud, he's careless, he's quiet rash but he's quiet good at heart. He's got his grey shades, I mean naughty shades.
Would u say he's a bit like karan?
Oh very much like me. Very much
And are u a big fan of music in real life.
Music is what drives me. I need music in everything. I need music while taking a shower, I need music while getting ready, I need music while driving, I need music while reading the script I need music everywhere.
Wat sort of music do u enjoy listening to.
All sorts of music, Punjabi, hip hop. You know anything that suits my ear. I'm not particular about what kind of music, anythign's nice that's well made is wot I like
What would u say is your fav track from the film
Oh..my..my fim?
Yes
"Challa I smy fav track. Infact challa by gurdas maan ji..he's the biggest the most renouned singer across Punjab, gurdas maan ji, he sung this song challa in a movie quiet a while back. I heard this when I ws young. Since then I think Its been my fav song, in my first film I get to sing the same song in a diff way, my own way, in new fused way, in a metal way..what could've been better than that for me. You know it's like my dream come true.
That's pretty incredible. And what were ur co-stars like in the film?
K: my co-stars..i think we bonded really well. Especially the negative guy, Singhram, we bonded really well. And the main lead girl, dhriti, she's also a very good actrees,a very good singer and pretty sweet in real life. And the other guy, you know majoot, whose also in Oye lucky, lucky oye, he's a child, he's only 18 /19. So he's a very sweet kid. So I think where all Punjabis, all local ppl, we have a lot of fun, director was also quiet young, quiet talented and so you know..it was al ot of fun. When movei got over, promotion stated, photo shoot started. all of that happened, so you know we've become a big happy family by now.
A: can you pinpoint one memorable moment from the shoot, or form the promotional tour.
From the shoot, I thinkt he climax scene you know..was the most memorable part of the film. I thoroughly enjoyed performing live in front of an audience of about a 1000 ppl. It was dreamt of all my life. Me standing on the stage and performing for all thse ppl. And from the promotions, as I said earlier, we've been gone to interiors of Punjab, interiors of Haryana, and delhi where I never thought people would know me. But ah..thanks to Tv, thanks to what I've done, thanks to ekta ma'm and thanks to everybody ..( I can't understand what he said after that..but something like 'that ppl know who I am')
Are ther any plans for u to work in Bollywood.
Well ah..iv'e beengetting calls for some good projects. But u know how Bollywood is, I dnt wanna take any risks. And I wanna concentrate on wot I'm doing right now. If something good comes up, then I'ld deffo go ahead wid it.
R u waiting for a good scritp to come ur way
I'm waiting for the..for the right kind of..yeah script is one thing and right character is one thing. So I'm waiting for the right character to come by.waiting for the right time.
What sort of character would u like to play on the big screen in Bollywood.
I wanna play something really dark. I wanna play something you know which is totally different than what I've been doing on tv. I wanan do something..i'm not saing I wanna do something negative, but I wanna do something which is not very run off the mill, I wanna do something diff, I wanna do something that gives me greater satisfaction,..something like the character in shaitan. Something like that.
Now we've got questions from your fans. No we had LOTS and lots of questions. Sorry I can't get through them all, so I picked a few of them out. So I'm gonan start off with this one.
What is ur new new yr's resolution?
2012 is gonna be one year that I'm gonna spend on my health. I've quit a lot of things which r harmfull to my health and I have started gyimmign quiet more, a lot more. I think I'm gonna transform myself this yr becuz I've been wanting to do it, but I've never got time. But this yr I think I'm gonna do that.And nothing more yaar. I think I'm pretty good with my relationships with my family, wid the ppl I love. I as it is take a lot of care for them and that's the most important thing for me nothing else matters. Apart from health, nothing else.
If you could exchange lives with any one celebrity, who would it be and why
I think I'm the coolest celebrity. (laughs)I think celebrities live life king size and I live life, Kundra Style and I wudn't want to exchange life wid anybody else.
A: ok..that's fair enough.if you could travel to any destination for holiday..where it would be and why
Oh my god I'm such a traveler in life. I love travelling, so I dnt think I'll be able to give u a single destination. Couple of months ago or, couple of years ago I saw part of Istanbul, since then I've been just waiting, wanting to go to instanbul. If you give me an option right now, I would say Istanbul.
If a genie could grant u one wish, what would it be?>
I would tell him to I dnt know I would just..i dnt know that' a tough one..
Maybe you're happy..so happy with the way things are and you don't need a wish? (laughs)
Naww.. I would just tell him that you know..make sure things keep going the way they're going right now.

Oh my God..infat you shud ask my co-actors about ahtt. They're fed up of me. Infact today, you know the girl who plays wholse opposite of me in the film.we were on the stage in front of 1000 people, I did something which..i kind of pointed out that..i told all the guys that she has a beard.
No u dint'.
I did..she almost wanted to kill me, but she's quiet sweet. And she knows I mean no harm..i do all kind of stupid things..i do a lot of pranks..im the naughtiest..trust me.
Wot's the worst prank u've ever played on one of ur co-actors..can you remember?
Aprt from hiding people's phones, and sending them to the police station for hmmm ..i dnt know..i dnt rememver any such.
Any chance of kmh season 3?
As I said it all depends on right time..kritika is busy wid he show and I'm busy wid my work. Whenever we have time, the channel want, or whenever the production housewants. It's a co-ordinated effort between the channel, the production house and the actor. Whenever that happens kitani 3 will happen, other wise it'll not.
How d u look so handsome.
Do I even look handsome? Is wear I do not think that I look handosme.
Well I can tell you that a lot of girls disagree with that.
(laughs)I know..but everyday in the morning wheni look at myself in the mirror and i..(think) you need to do something with the way you look , otherwise u're not gonna last in this industry for a long itme.
Qualities in a Life partner
Well I think most important thing is companionship, because u're gonna be with that person for the rest of your life. And she has to be really really intelligent, caring, has to be really loving. And she cannot be (I dnt get the word he said) that' swot I hate. The most import thing would be companionship, happiness btw two people, cuz w/o happiness nothing else. And she has to be really, really, really pretty and really really hot, cuz she's the one I'm gonna be sleeping with for the rest of my life.

It's quiet ..i'm doing another fil called nikamme. It's again a punjbi film..ti's crazy, mad, cross, total, total headache kind of a film. Sucha mad film. I dnt know when they're gonna start on that. For a film like that the script has to be really relalyrelaly strong and really has to be worked upon. I might host a show on a pretty big channel, on a nation channel, it's a very ncie show , diff kind of sow, serious kind of show. Let' ssee how when and why thing shappen.
