Part Twenty- Seven- Epilouge
Manyata shivered in the early morning. She felt a presence snuggle closer to her. She turned slightly and looked towards the man beside her. She couldn't believe she was now his in every sense of the word.
She leaned back against his chest. She couldn't understand why he always seemed warm even when it was cold outside. She soon fell back asleep.
He took in her scent. She always smelled good. He didn't care what thwe world thought of her, what mattered most was that she was in his arms now. He stroked her hair when he finally decided to wake up. Since their first morning as a married couple, he would be amazed to find her sleeping in the same bed as him.
She was his dream come true. He leaned in to kiss her forehead. He got up and placed her robe on her side of the bed. He went in the washroom to get showered and ready for the day. He had a few meetings today but he planned to take her out to see London afterwards.
She felt water droplets on her face.
She slowly opened her eyes. She smiled at him but blushed recalling what had happened between them the night before.
He pinched her nose.
"Take your time getting up. I got a few business meetings lined up, then I am taking my princess for a night out," he quipped.
She smiled as she tried to cover herself up. He indicated towards the robe. She indicated him to turn away. He did so after flashing her a smirk. She shook her head and slipped it on. She got up and hugged him behind. He turned and swayed her downwards and planted a quick kiss on her lips.
She yelped but relaxed when he lifted her up again.
She went in to get showered. She emerged as he was gelling and combing his hair.
"Don't tak too long. I will get bored here. Only have you to fight with here," she quipped.
"No worries. Pick out our outfits , order room service, watch television, but don't let any strangers in," he warned.
She giggled.
" I am no child," she quipped.
He cupped her chin.
"Woh mujhe pata hai meri jungle billi," he hissed before walking out the door.
She pouted after him but then got busy with something or the other.
He arrived back to have lunch with her. They headed out to enjoy the major tourist sites in London, he even took her back to his university. The young girls eyed them with jealousy and wonderment. The men were curious as to who this girl was.
They hopped on the subway and avoided press reporters. They blended in well with some of the locals. The night was spent well. After Udayveer's business was settled in London, they spent the rest of their honeymoon in Switzerland. Manayta had a galla time having snow ball fights with the staff there and they both tackled each other in the snow whenever possible.
After the worldwind honeymoon they set off to India and went to Jaigard. Manyata was nervous about taking up her royal duties. She wanted to continue her education. The couple decided together that she would continue her education, and assume more royal duties as time went on. They had arrived in Jaigard. Manyata clenched her fingers in his arm. He removed her fingers and held her wrist with an assuring hold. They stepped out of the car and stood together as the subjects started their chants and threw flower petals at them. She smiled brightly.
"Welcome to our home Mahrani," he quipped.
They entered the palace. Both families were already there for the cornination. Tomorrow they would be announced as Majraj and Mahrani of Jaigard. Manyata looked around herself and smiled up at Udayveer. She had her prince charming, she had the respect of hundreds, and she had her family.
She had dreamed of being a princess for years. But she never imagined what she would have to do in order to come this far.
As they sat together with their family, Manyata turned to Udayveer.
"You know it's been awhile since we had a real fight," she quipped.
"Tell me the time and place princess. I'll be ready," he whispered.
She rolled her eyes.
"Tera mera pyaar kiss aur jaise nahin hai," she whispered back.
" Haan nahin toh. Hum jaisa koi nahin Manyata," he replied.
She smiled. This time she knew the hum meant him and her.
