She looked up at the white blob..the only source of light in that dark sky…
"will you forgive me Maan?? The path I am walking on is only going to hurt you! I'm sorry!"
Next Day
They parked their cars at the same time beside each other. Atmosphere was glum! None of the two happy about whatever happened!
He stepped out only to see her getting out of her car. Their eyes met for a moment! Her face looked glum and pale…red swollen eyes…probably she had cried the whole night..he cursed himself for this condition of hers!!! How cruel could he be?
Tears welled up in her eyes seeing him so pale and worn out! She had hurt him so bad…..she is such a horrible girl! She herself is confused about what she feels about him..and his presence only makes her all the more weaker.
He broke the gaze seeing tears clouding her eyes….he had hurt her!!!! he felt disgusted with himself to have done something like that to his geet!
She cursed herself…he broke the gaze??? Guilt ate into her! probably he was never going to look at her again! Unable to take that pain…she just walked away!
His heart broke into zillion pieces! Why did he behave like that at the 1st place??? He walked slowly to his class! May be was too quick to assume things!
The whole day went gloomy! She couldn't concentrate on studies neither on the council work. She seemed distracted all the way…lost…pale!
Maan was in the same boat too! His heart was not in studies…rather wandering somewhere! Everything around him seemed so darn irritating. He talked minimal!
He sat alone…away from folks….sighing at his conduct! How could he lose himself like that?/ his conduct in the trial room just flashed in his mind…he felt even more disgusted!
LUNCH BREAK
Dan and Rahul waited for them but none showed up!
Dan: where are these two? Haven't seen them around today!
Rahul: but both have come to college though!
Dan: ahh..may be both are busy!
Rahul: arrghhh….damn..what are these two doing? I need to share an important news…gosh am dying!
Dan: easy boy! And what is that you wanna share?
Rahul: ah its something…I will when both of them come!
Dan: but you must have seen geet in the council right?
Rahul (hitting his head): ohh damn! I had actually forgotten about it!
Dan: STUPID!!!!
Rahul: but come to think of it….geet kinda looked upset with something!
Dan: umm??
Rahul: yeah…she looked sad…I mean in real sense sad….she didn't talk much..even to me! She looked distracted! Not her usual evil prez self!!!!
They talked here and there when they saw Maan coming towards them. But he chose a different place to sit..not his regular ones with Dan and Rahul!
The duo looked at each other wondering what happened!!!! Maan didn't make his presence obvious…that was so unlike him!!!!
Dan (raising his brow): why is he looking depressed???
Rahul shrugged and that's when they saw geet enter the place. She looked at the duo and then at Maan…sighed and sat in a far corner away from Maan!
Dan (pointing his thumb towards geet): and pray why is SHE like that???
Rahul: I told you so!
Both sat thinking!!!
Dan: um…they are not talking to each other…that's something new…hey wait..did they have a fight?
Just then…they saw jess pass by and Rahul fell on the table sighing!!!
Dan (to Rahul): so is Jessica your important news???
Rahul (in dreamland): she is an angel!!!
Dan: whattt??? And all these days you haven't confessed???
Rahul shook his head sadly!
Dan (irritated): STUPID!!!
He made a baby face….almost crying!
Rahul: don't say like that okay!!! That is why I wanted to talk to you guys!!!
Dan rolled his eyes! This fellow has really lost it!
Rahul: that's it! No more holding back! I can't! I need help guys! Dan… you get Maan and am getting geet here!
Dan sighed and walked to Maan and somehow managed to get him to their table.
Now Rahul persuaded geet to come. She agreed and the moment she turned back…her eyes fell on his! One more confrontation???? She didn't have the courage to meet his eyes after hurting him like that! no…she didn't deserve it!!! She can't take that guilt…and ran away leaving Rahul and Dan surprised!
Maan very well knew why she behaved like that…who would like to look at a jerk like him??? He sighed sadly!
Rahul went near the duo, " did you two have a fight?"
He didn't answer!
Dan: come on Maan…tell us what happened! Why are you two like this?
Maan: its nothing you would understand!
He turned to leave when Rahul held his hand!
Rahul: don't leave! I've something important to talk to!
Maan: Rahul…not now!
Rahul" please…
Maan: dude…I need some time…ALONE!
Rahul: so you won't listen to me?
Maan: not now!!!
And Rahul threw his card, "even if its about geet?"
And it worked wonders!!!! He did turn back! and Rahul looked at Dan and winked…unnoticed by Maan!

Geet reached the empty locker room and stopped there panting!!! She hadn't even turned back one to look at him…and had made a dash!!! Out of his sight! She just couldn't just meet his gaze! What was happening?
Just then someone patted her back! she turned only to find Jess!
Jess: why did you run away like that?
Geet: huh??
Jess: I was there all the while…I saw what happened! What is it geet? Is something wrong? I haven't seen you this pale before!!!
Geet looked down….was she that obvious?
Jess (concerned): did you have a fight? Even you seemed so distracted in the class!
She just didn't look up which made jess all the more confirmed that something had happened!!!
Jess: is it Maan??
And geet just looked up at jess with moist eyes and that gave all the confirmation to geet!
And what geet didn't know was what jess and other college people thought about her and Maan!!! After that disc night…people actually cinfirmed themselves that Maan and geet are in relationship..well that dance and their staying together always did all the magic!
Jess went and hugged geet, "awww my sweety cutie pie geet…you are sooo naive!!!!"
Geet hugged her back…that is something she really wanted as of now!
Geet (breaking down): what would I do jess?? I just don't understand anything!!!
Jess patted her back and sighed sadly!
Jess: same here geet…even I don't understand what should I do with him!!!
Geet pulled back looking at her suspiciously, "what did you mean by HIM??"
Jess shied away thinking about him!

Rahul: NO…am perfectly fine Maan! Its been so long! I've been dropping hints but I don't know if she understood at all!!!
Maan nodded in agreement! Wasn't it the same case with his??? Sigh
Rahul continued, "but I just can't hold back anymore…I don't want to! I love her dude…its impossible to stay away!!!!"
Maan sighed again…his mind shouting, "SAME PINCH DUDE!!" hey wait a minute…did he say LOVE???? So he is in same boat as Rahul…and that means ..he is in LOVE….with…
Dan: and what are you going to do now?
Rahul (cutely): I don't know! That's for you guys to decide!
Maan (shocked): again I say…WHAAATTT???
Rahul nodded, "after all you are my besties right? All I know now is that I just don't want to hold back…but the thing is..i just don't know how to start at the 1st place! I don't wanna mess things up!
Maan: but don't you think you should talk to geet about this? I mean jess is a close friend to her after all!!!
Dan: yeah Maan is right!
Rahul: NO WAYS!!! Are you two mad??? We can't tell her!
Dan: but you wanted to tell her too right!!! Now what happened?
Rahul:at that time I didn't know these two had a fight!!
Maan: and pray what has our fight got to do with it?
Rahul: its simple dude!!1 see…the thing is..i had completely forgotten about jess being geet's friend! And if I told geet about jess…she'd kill me buddy given her current mood! You know her right…so since you both had a tiff…am sure she wouldn't butt in! we can play safe and Maan…you can also find ways to make up with her!!! hows it?
Maan: that's stupid!!! Am out of this!

Geet was still hesitating…her heart just doesn't stop beating faster and fater whenever the word "Maan" was uttered!

Geet: you are not understanding jess..i just don't know anyting about all these…
