Tuesday 10th January 2012 Episode -
The doctor comes out with Vadivu, tells Saravanan that nothing went wrong. The baby is fine, but be careful henceforth. (how long do these idiots plan to keep it a secret?) Both Sara & Vadivu happy. Vadivu requests the doctor not to reveal the truth to Ila. Only God can save you replies the doc, prescribing some medicines for pain, before leaving. Saravanan helps Vadivu (actually whatever Sara is doing is proof enough to let the cat out of the bag) . Night time - kudukuduppaikkaaran comes saying gonna spell aruLvaakku. Ila and Vadivu wake up from their slumber. The husbands are kumbakarnans. Ila tries waking up Karthik to ask for aruLvaakku. He is dead to the world, she decides to go alone. Ila waits near the closed door to listen to the aruLvaakku. She wants him to say that she - the chinna naachchiyaa is going to bear the first grand child for ayya's family. The kudukuduppukkaaran, begins saying his aruLvaakku - that good times would befall ayya's family. The first grand child to be born soon. Ila all elated. He adds that the person is already preggy. Vadivu & Sara in their bedroom smile to themselves. Vadivu tells Sara that the kudukuduppu is right. If Ila had heard this , then she would think it is for herself, but now... how long to hide, let us tell the truth she tells Sara. Sara tells her not to , Ila too would conceive soon. Then we can announce to the world. It will happen soon. The kudukudups has not left the place, he reiterates that the womb has already been formed. Ila feels her stomach. Kudukudupps leaves, Ila speaks to herself - she is not pregnant which means - is Vadivu preggy??
Karthik on the swing. Naachch asking Ila if the hot water is ready. Karthik calls his mother to ask if she is making the trip to the court later. Obviously, replies Naachch. Karthik asks her where is the hero - that is ayya? Ila, Vadivu & Sara too come there. Ila replies that ayya would come to the court directly, he informed over the phone. Karthik now tells Naachch that ayya can say the secret to the family instead of going to the court, then Kula would retreat the case filed. Vadivu says that it was Kula who filed the case, so nothing wrong with Ayya facing it. Ila intervenes to say that Karthik is just suggesting ideas so that the family secret remains in the family. Finally Naachch tells that if the secret has to come out in the Court of Law - so be it. They would face it, if Karthik needs to lend a shoulder, let him do it for his FIL. Naachch leaves for her bath, Sara & Vadivu to their room. Ila too leaves. Karthik talks to himself - ippadiyum one lady, if she was half as angry as he was, Subbu would have vanished long ago!! What to do next he wonders.
The next scene shifts to the Court - where ayya, Subbu, Naachch, Ganga, Rama, Charu, Sara, Vadivu and Ila have assembled. Kula walks in and takes a chair. The Judge comes, the parties are called to take their stands. The Judge wants to do a direct enquiry. Kula's lawyer feels that if Ayya comes out with the reason as to why he married Subbu - the judgement can be decided as Kula had suggested in his plea. Judge would ask Ayya but before that he wants Kula to answer a few questions of his. The whole jingbang hold their breath. The first question to Kula from the Judge - are all your properties of yours ancestral? Kula says "no". After Naachch got married to Ayya , you got this identity and status in the society - am I right. Kula thinks (about what??) for sometime to reply an yes. How many years is it now that Ayya has got married to Subbu - about 30 years is Kula's answer. For 30 years they have lived as husband and wife in front of you - you kept quiet all these years and now why did you file the case? What is the reason behind asks the Judge.
Kula thought that they would leave by themselves, in that these 30 years passed so quickly. He too tried telling them, asking them but they did not listen to him. They are all clinging to him for Ayya's properties concludes Kula. So, all the properties should be with your sister Naachch is your aim, asks the Judge. Kula promptly accepts. Cant there be any other reason other than the properties the Judge wants to know. Only Ayya keeps saying there is a secret , so only he can answer that part of the question. Ayya smiles to himself! Kula feels there cannot be anyother reason. The Judge wants to know what would be Kula's reaction if Ayya had a valid reason. My state of mind then cannot be guaranteed now accepts Kula. If the reason is out, then everything would come to a conclusion says Kula (thangam coming to an end Kula??) The camera pans on every face present there. Kula only wants the judgement to nullify the claim of Subbu to be ayya's wife. Ganga, Rama and Charu fume.
Now the Judge turns to ayya - where and when did you meet Subbu? 30 years ago met her by accident. In all these years did you ever find out what her individual wants are/were? What do you think about Subbu is the next question to Ayya. Of all the properties that he has, Subbu is his best asset replies Ayya. The Subbu family is all smiles. Only children borne by Subbu are well read in his family, which is illiterate otherwise. (but 30 years ago marriage and this what connection? isnt this after the marriage??) Kula rubbishes Ayya's talk. Subbu just wants everybody to love others just as how she loves otherwise. Judge asks what was the necessity for him to marry Subbu. It is a secret ayya feels. But the case wrests on that, so please share is the request from the Judge. Ayya decides to let the secret out. Naachch shakes her head no. Ayya has a request, he wants to reveal the secret "in camera" and not to the public. Naachch and Subbu heave a sigh. Kula stumped! Subbu, Naachch and he will depose before the Judge in camera. Kula wants Ayya to come out with the truth in the open, although Ayya says it is for the good of the family. Kula jumps what come may tell it in the open. Judge asks Kula to remain calm. The Judge wants Ayya, Naachch & Subbu to meet him in his chamber at 2 pm. Ayya goes back to discuss something with Naachch & Subbu. Kula unhappy.
Ayya and his two consorts leave for Judge's chambers. Kula asks his lawyer to find a way to know the secret. Come hell or high waters - he wants to know the secret. The lawyer says he will find out if it can be done lawfully. Ayya, Naachch & Subbu in the chamber. Ayya begins the story...
