Arnav looked back at Khushi with his one hand still cupping her face. He was hesitating to say something. But he had to tell her that no matter what. Their family members were carving out their future together and she had all the right to know everything about him; especially what he was about to tell her now.

Arnav: Khushi there was a reason why I wanted to meet you alone today. He said softly. Khushi opened her eyes, curious to know what the reason was. Wasn't it because he thought she was still mad at him because of the other day?

Khushi: What is it? She said innocently in the same calm voice that he loved to hear. He smiled warmly at her.

Arnav: I don't want to hurt you in any manner but'

He was about to say when they heard a knock on the terrace door. Anjali stood on the door smiling at Khushi and the smile washed away from her face the moment her eyes met Arnav's.

Anjali: Do you both plan to talk everything tonight or is there anything left for the future? She said with a wide smile on her face as walked up to them.

Khushi was blushing the darkest shade of red whereas Arnav looked helpless. Anjali came up to both of them and hugged Khushi.

Anjali: everyone's waiting for you both downstairs. Panditji has come. And you better stop troubling my sister-in-law. She said waking Arnav on his hand.

Arnav: Di please!

Anjali: what please? You do remember what I told you in the afternoon in the room right? She said meaning each and every word.

Arnav looked back straight in Anjali's eyes where as Khushi looked confused with what were the siblings talking about.

Anjali: Anyways, come quickly before Mami becomes overactive and decides to come upstairs herself. She trailed back downstairs smiling at both of them.

Khushi turned towards Arnav to see him lost in some thoughts of his own. Even though Anjali had tried her best to avoid the topic which Arnav was about to talk to Khushi, she had not forgotten it. His words and conversations were always on a priority than any other damn thing in the world.

Arnav: Huh? Ah! Nothing I'll tell you some other time. Khushi nodded agreeing to him.

Khushi: Shall we? She asked if they should proceed downstairs.

Arnav: After you. He said smiling to her.

Khushi started to move towards the door when Arnav called her from behind.

Arnav: Khushi?

Khushi: yes? She said turning around towards him.

Khushi looked away smiling and shying when Arnav came up to her and slipped his hand on her waist.

Arnav: shall we?

The couple was welcomed by both the families in the Hall and everyone took seats as the panditji looked at both Arnav and Khushi's birth-chart to fix a suitable date for the wedding.

Mami: panditji please make sure the wedding date is atrocious.

Akaash: Mom, not atrocious it's auspicious!

Mami: yes yes, wahi wahi!

Everyone smiled at her.

Priest: there is one very auspicious date for both of them, three months from now.

Mama: three months? But Arnav is only here till the next month.

Garima: Ah! Will this not be very quick for both of them? I think we should give them both some time to at least get to know each other.

Nani: I agree with you Garima. But Arnav is in India only for a month or two every year. Not getting them both married now would mean to wait for one whole year.

Anjali: And that ways also, they would hardly get a chance to really know each other.

Shashi: I think they are all right Garima. We should do as they say.

Garima smiled half-heartedly.

Priest: There is a date for 10^th. He said looking at Arnav.

Mami: But that would be just a week away?

Mama: Manorma! Let us first ask Arnav. It should not disturb his schedule.

Arnav: That would be fine with me; I have to be back in London on the 12^th.

Anjali: Perfect!

Shashi: And panditji, what about the engagement?

Priest: just a minute! He looked back again in there charts and announced that the suitable date for the engagement was the day after.

Akaash: tomorrow?

Anjali: TOMMORROW?

Mami: TTOOMMMOOORRROOOWWW?

The three literally shouted in excitement one after the other, increasing the pitch of their tone.

Nani: Manorma!

Shashi: But tomorrow is too early panditji!

Priest: Mr. Gupta, if the wedding is a week later then the engagement should be tomorrow.

Nani: Don't worry Shashi! We'll handle everything. And the engagement anyways takes place at the groom's place, so you need not worry.

Shashi: But'.

Nani: Just bring Khushi bitiya along with you. She said smilingly.

Arnav turned to look at Khushi while the family members were busy discussing the preparations. He was quite surprised that Khushi hadn't even said a word yet and just sat there quietly. Was she not happy with this marriage? She looked tensed and uneasy. Did she not want to get married to him? No, he was committing a mistake in reading her expressions again. May be everything was happening quite fast for her, like her mother had said. He smiled to himself thinking how less he knew about her and how much there was for him unwrap. He wanted to read her like an open book. Know everything about her. And he knew that one day he will. He will know everything about her and she will always be his. She will always remain committed to him.

After discussing the necessary plans of action the Raizaadas got up to leave.

Nani: Accha Shashi! We'll take our leave now.

Shashi: Namaste!

Arnav and Khushi took the blessings of their respective in-laws and Arnav was about to leave when he crossed Khushi.

Khushi smiled back at him and nodded her.
