Mrinal Deshraj's fervour in fever By: Shaheen Parkar June 21, 2006
Mrinal Deshraj
The last thing one would want to do when suffering from a severe bout of viral fever is to deck up in bridal finery and shake a leg. But for the past week, Mrinal Deshraj has to be dolled up every day for the shoot of Kahiin To Hoga. And as it is a wedding sequence being shot, she has to be in her shimmering best.
Shoot soreness
"Here I am with a sore throat, severe headache and high fever, trudging for the shoot. I could not even stay away from it. The marriage scenes of Kashish's sister, Moulli, are being canned," says Mrinal who plays the character of Shipra.
The actress had been suffering from a slight fever since the past fortnight. "I was feeling a bit under the weather and thought the fever would subside in a day or two. But even after medication, the fever did not go.
I consulted a doctor who diagnosed it as a viral and I was advised rest. But I can't, as a wedding shoot implies that the entire cast has to be present. Lack of sleep and adequate rest has worsened her situation."
No merrymaking
Though Mrinal has been shooting non-stop, the last few days were particularly bad.
"When we were canning the sangeet ceremony, everyone was making merry. There was the usual naach gaana and even after the shoot everyone was thoroughly enjoying themselves. And I had to be all by myself, as I couldn't eat anything or talk much due to the sore throat causing me even more misery."
Her road to recovery has been very slow. "I am a bit better now, but not 100 per cent fit yet."
