PART 7
"Kaho Na Pyar Hain"
Prachi sat quietly next to Gurmeet fiddling with the end of her saree, as she was nervous about meeting a stranger, at the same time she was plotting a plan to come out of this misery. "Yeh garwale, kab ladke dekhna band karenge" her brain questioned.
Her eyes slowly meets the enchanting eyes of Shabir, who was smiling a mischievous smile. Prachi instantly recognised him as the man who saved her soul earlier on, "is he going to spill the beans to my family?" She thinks anxiously.
A pair of eyes were also glued to Prachi, It was none but Kushaal her husband to be whose eyes were filled with hope that this holy matrimony won't take place, "Bade tumne mujhe yaha kaha phasa diya yaar?!" he complained in his mind.
The cries of these two souls was unheard by the room filled with elders who were lost in discussing the big fat wedding.
Dadaji was satisfied with Prachi as a daughter in law, now he only has to convince his grandson he thought. "Savitri dono bache ko ek saath akele room mein bhej dhete hain, yaha bache sharma rahe hain shayad" he winked cheekily at Daadi. Daadi agreed immediately "haan haan Prachi tum Kushaal ko lekar andar chale jao".
"Sharma rahe ho Kushaal?" giggled Shabir elbowing his younger brother. "Haan Bade main sharam se paani paani ho raha hoon" whispered a trapped Kushaal getting up to leave with an already standing Prachi.
Shabir jumped up "main bhi chalta hoon bhai kya patha tum sharam ki paani main dhupki na maar do" he shouts laughing from his lovely mouth to which Daadi also laughs and says "haan beta jao, tum bhi ghar dhek ao". All three started making their way upstairs when suddenly Gurmeet shouted raising his arms "Ruk Jao!" scaring Dhrashti, making her spill the tea she was sipping. "Main bhi chalta hoon tumloge ke saath Prachi akeli gabra jayegi" said Gurmeet not wanting to send his sister with the two men alone. He quickly joined the three before anyone could question him further.
"Yeh lo, bachaari Prachi akeli phas gayi itne mardo ke saath" whispered Dhrashti to herself. "Daadima main bhi Prachi ki saath jati hoon, shayad mari zaroorat pare" claimed Dhrashti foolishly saying whatever came in her mind. "Haan beta jao" agreed the Daadi once again. Dhrashti quickly followed Gurmeet and all made there way to Prachi's bedroom climbing the stairs.
Whilst climbing the stairs, Gurmeet was disturbed by his ever ringing phone, it was Adi "Sir aap ka office ana bahut zaroori hain woh london wali file main aap ki signature chahiye" stuttered Adi. "Tum har waqt mere signature ke peeche kyun ho Adi" demanded an irritated Gurmeet. Adi was speechless "sir zaroori hain" was all he managed to say. Not wanting to leave his sister alone he was however left with no options as the london project was very important "thik hain main atha hoon" he shouted, disconnecting the phone.
He turned to go downstairs when his rock hard shoulder crashes into Dhrasti's soft baby shoulders. It was like a car crash without a noise apart from the "Ouch!" that escaped from Dhrashti's lips. Gurmeet payed no heed to this incident not even opening his mouth to say a little sorry. He rushed down the stairs and was abruptly stopped. Something was pulling him backwards, not allowing him to move further down. At this very moment Prachi's i phone 4s started ringing
"'kiche mujhe koi dor teri ore teri ore teri ore haye rabba'"
It was as if the future was being written with these lines for the two souls that were joined together by the grace of God through Dhrashti's scarf which was entangled with Gurmeet's rolex watch. The scarf wasn't allowing Gurmeet to leave, this unleashed the wrath of Gurmeet and the silly ringtone of Prachi playing in the background wasn't helping either. Gurmeet pulled the scarf out of his watch causing it to tear and threw it on Dhrasti. It was as if he was trying to play with destiny, trying to tear what cannot be teared... as a part will always remain with him like the piece of teared scarf that was still attached to his watch.
Dhrashti felt hurt, her shoulder were aching, her eyes was looking down at Gurmeets who was furiously going downstairs, but she had a ray of hope that he will turn back and apologies to her.
"har waqt, ek khambe ki tara meri age akhar khari hojati hain.. bewakuf Ladki" says Gurmeet to himself with no sign of pity for Dharasti.
"Are you okay?" asks Shabir to a hurt Dharasti. "Yeh am fine" she claims going back to her jolly self. Kushaal and Prachi witness the scene but they don't make a comment as their mind is far far away from the reality.
"Are you going to pick that up" asks Kushaal to Prachi as her phone was still ringing. She decides to ignore him as her shyness takes over her.
"Toh Kushaal, main aur Dharasti chalte hain niche" says Shabir to Kushaal as he didn't want to play a nosey brother and really wanted Prachi and Kushaal to speak openly to each other with out being disturbed.
Dharashti doesn't questions Shabir and follows him downstairs.
They both join Dadi and Dada downstairs sitting around the settee catching up on old times.
"What the" Barun mutters after listening to Daada and Daadi go on and on like a broken tape recorder. He manages to dismiss himself and leaves for his room.
Meanwhile, away from this hectic house was a not so hectic house. Maanvi stood in front of her cupboard thinking what to wear for the party that she was going to intrude when her phone started ringing, it was her best friend Prachi.
"Tum mera gar main aah jao yaar, phir se ek rishta aya hain" cries Prachi down the phone.
"Kiya?? Phir??" Says a shocked Manvi. "Ha, aur abhi woh mera bedroom main beta hain, mujse bath karne, but I escaped by saying I needed to go to the bathroom" claims Prachi.
"Don't worry Prachi, am coming.. Usku bhaga dhenge..." says Manvi accompanied by an evil laughter hanging off the phone.
Manvi quickly gets dressed in a mint green salwar kameez and reaches outside trying to catch a Rickshaw. Kushi sees her from the kitchen, "woh kaha jah rahi hain, itni late" she questions herself. "Lagta hain main usko follow karna padega before she falls in to trouble." She claims.
She follows Manvi in her scooter reaching a hugh white mansion. Manvi runs towards the mansion unaware her sister is following her she enters the house secretly through the open front entrance.
Kushi in the other hand takes another entry climbing a long wooden ladder leading to a bedroom with open windows.
Barun was sitting in his room on the laptop, enjoying the calm atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle downstairs. His windows were wide open, the fresh breath of air helped him ease up.
Suddenly the serene atmosphere was vanished and it was replaced with a clingy racket coming from near the window. The fresh air now brought in the fragrance of jasmine. He left his laptop and walked towards the window, where he notices two tender hands white as snow holding onto his window. His piercing button like eyes direct them self down and witnesses a girl hanging on his window like as if she's a piece of cloth on the washing line left to be dried.
Kushi was trying to push her self into the house via the window, when she notices the dark eyes above her aiming at her like a bullet ready to be fired.
"What The" Barun shouts, making his word vibrate down Kushi's entire body shaking her up. Her grip trembles from the fear of this man seeing her. She let's go of the window, screaming really loud "aaahhh" as the reality hits that she is falling.
"Chilana Band Karo!!" Warns Barun, holding her hands tightly. Kushi looks up and sees herself being held by the power of this mans steel like arms. She was swaying in the middle of the air and her hands were tightly grasped by Barun's hands. "Mujhe upar keecho!" Yells a frightened Kushi , however her words were missed by Barun. He was lost in her eternal beauty, his eyes were tangled in her untangled brown hair which were floating in the cold air like autumn leaves blowing on a misty day. Kushi yells again in frustration "upar keechna hain tho keecho varna chor do mujhe!!". This wakes up Barun from his drooling session. "Mujhe koi shok nahi hain tum jaisi chor aur dakayet ko apne ghar main kichne ka.." shouted Barun at the top of his voice angered by this girls orders. Barun lets her hand slip away from his own like a slippery piece of ice melting away and then closes his window securely so no thieves can linger around him.
Kushi closed her eyes chanting "yeh nikkama akdu insaan... adamkaur... mujhe maar hi daala, magar main laut ke awoongi kamine!!!.., tera khoon piyungi, choon choon ke tere kandhan se badla loongi..". She was in mid air, nearly reaching the ground "Rab Rakha!" Kushi yells thinking it to be her last breath. "Stupid girl!, maregi nahi aur kitna nautanki kar rahi hain, mere window ki neeche pooja ka white soft mat para hua hain" mutters Barun behind his closed window hearing Kushi's constant screams.
Kushi was falling and was ready to be dead when she felt the strong aftershave of 212 sexy men fill up her nostrils. It was none other then the hateh kateh najawaan Shabir who had catched the falling bird Kushi in his ever ready arms. "Ajeeb ghar hain bhai, yaha bharish nahi ladkiya barasti hain, yeh rickshawale ne tho badi achi bandabas kiya hain apni mehmano ki khatirdhari ke liye" chirped a happy Shabir, grinning with a lady in his arms.
Kushi opened her eyes and was relieved that she was alive. Shabir put her down and Kushi started with her thank you speech "shukriya mere aka aaj se hum aap ke ghulam hue" said Kushi happily moving her hands around animatedly. "no problem... Shabir ladkiyon ko na bachaye ye mushkil hi nahin na mumkin hain" laughed Shabir, finding Kushi very funny like him. "Main Kushi" introduced Kushi to Shabir. "Aur main aap ka naya dost Shabir" said Shabir shaking hands with Kushi. Kushi thanked Shabir once again before leaving to go home, as this was for the best she thought "maanvi ki chakkar main, main khud phas gayi ghar jaana hi bethar hain, maanvi ki khabar ghar main loongi".
Prachi came out the toilet and found Kushaal sitting on her bed as if he was the king. Her eyes were positioned on the floor when Kushaal asked "aap toilet main itni der tak kya rahi thi?" Kushaal realised what he had said and regretted it the very moment it left his lips. "Main woh' Kuch nahi'" Stuttered a nervous Prachi thinking Kushaal overheard her conversation with Maanvi.
Silence prevailed the room when suddenly a loud bang disturbs the two restless souls.
