My Christmas Friend PART 2 PG5

"What the hell is happening here?" Arohi yelled in her half sleep. Her exams finished yesterday and why the hell was the alarm ringing! She searched for it and finally finding it threw it to the floor! Who had invented this thing!

"Stupid idiotic alarm! Destroyed my sleep!" Then suddenly Arohi knew why she put that alarm on! It was Christmas celebration in her college! And she was planning a hell lot of fun there! Scrambling out of her bed Arohi ran to her bathroom and had the quickest ever bath. She put on her favourite white salwar kameez that fitted her just perfectly! She loved to wear white salwar kameez on Christmas just like the white snow that falls in Shimla.

Arohi ran out of her house exactly half an hour later. There was a lot to be done before everyone came.

"Fast fast Arohi! No time to waste! You have to be there before everyone else!" Arohi talked to herself when she ran to her car without having any breakfast. Breakfast can wait not her plan!

Arohi was in her college in her class and was decorating the place beautifully. She had also thought of some pranks. Firstly she had put some colour and gilt in the balloons which will be showered on everyone exactly when the cake would be cut! It was going to be fun! She and her friends had already made the crib and the Christmas tree and also had decorated it! She had put all the balloons in the right places!

"Now what is to be done? What is to be done?... oh my god! The cake! I need to run!" Arohi dashed out of her class remembering she hadn't picked the cake up from the baker's! Shimla's best baker was baking the cake with tons of cream to eat and put on each other's face! Then there was the sweet tradition of Christmas friend! She had got Aman as her Christmas friend and she had bought him his favourite music CD's! She knew he loved them because she had seen him going to every store to just get one! She had ordered it from Mumbai! Actually her friend there had sent her this on her request! Everything was going to be just perfect! But she didn't know who got her name! Whoever got her name she was happy that she will get a gift!

Arohi was always ecstatic about Christmas because she loved the snow, the red and white colour and the festive mood! Then there was the cake, the balloons, the gifts and a lot more to cherish! Arohi brought the cake in time and by now everyone was in their class!

The cake was cut by their head teacher who was as naughty as the students! Actually she and Arohi had planned all the pranks! And just as they planned all the students were covered in colour and gilt! Arohi should have been the one who should be upset about this owing to the fact that she was wearing white! But she loved it! Actually she herself put some colour on her dress! Can anyone be crazier!

Everyone had eaten the cake and Arohi had started 'putting the cake on everybody's face' ceremony with Shefali. Then started the mega fun! There was so much chaos that even Arohi doubted whether this was a celebration. Arohi was chasing Gauri to put some cream on her face but Gauri was slipping away!

"Not so fast my dear! I am coming!" With this Arohi ran behind her and finally was successful in her venture! Mission completed!

Then it was time for exchanging gifts! Arohi was so excited to gift Aman the gift that she jumped in before anyone else could say anything! Arohi's exuberance was in its heights and it was shown on her face!

Arohi was frantically searching for the one who got her name! But no one came forward! She was so sad but before the sadness could reach her face she got a chit from one of the boys. It said,

Your present is waiting for you in your favourite place! The place where you go when you are happy or when you are sad! Come there soon! You will be the happiest person ever!

Arohi ran to her place. She knew which place the person was talking about! The place behind their library! There were a series of steps there and she always came there with her friends! That was their place! No one came there because it was a little deserted! And then Arohi stopped in her tracks. How the hell that person did know about the place? Could it be possible one of her friends was her Christmas friend? Should she go? Arohi was confused. But she decided to go and see.

As Arohi reached the place she saw a carpet made out of rose petals. She was hesitant first but she moved forward. At first she saw her favourite chocolate cake and then a white crystal doll. Those were beautiful. The surprise was not over. A little ahead in the steps was a heart shaped photo frame that could be opened like you were opening a heart! Inside on one side was her photo and on the other a note saying,

My photo is hidden here somewhere! Find the photo and you will find me!

Arohi looked around to find the photo but it was nowhere to be seen! Disappointedly she sat down in the steps clutching the photo frame. Just then she was hit by a soft thing. She turned around to see a pink teddy bear which she had seen in a local store and wanted to buy but before she could do so someone else had done that! She was happy and looked around to see the person who threw it! There was no one! She again started looking but this time before she could sit down she got hit by a heart shaped red soft pillow! She loved it but the mystery was beginning to annoy her and finally she yelled,

Hey if you have any plan of showing yourself! Be my guest! Otherwise I am going!

Before Arohi could take one step someone jumped from the top of a tree! Arohi was taken aback! She never expected this! After calming herself down she looked at the person. This time she was electrocuted! It was Arjun! The same Arjun who fought with her and competed with her to get the first position! The same Arjun who used to pull her leg and tease her and put her in such situations that she couldn't react! For a second Arohi stared at him and then at his gifts! First her brain said it was another set up by him but her heart refuted it! While Arohi stood there confused Arjun came forward and kissed her on her lips! Just a small peck!

"I know you want this! I know you like me! So are we set?" Arjun asked and Arohi stared!

Arohi was confused! How the hell did he know I like him! That was impossible! I was so good at hiding my emotions!

As if reading her mind he said, "No you can't hide from me! And so we are... And this is not a set up! I really like you!"

This time Arjun seemed a little impatient and a small smile touched her lips. Now Arjun stared and raised his eyebrow as in 'what?' but Arohi she just walked away smiling to herself!

"Hey tell me what do you think?" - Arjun

"You tell me!" Arohi yelled back and smiled at him! Arjun knew the answer and he also knew she wasn't going to say it! But he will make her! After all they had their entire life ahead!
