What are the CV's thinking? If I were a CV, I'd be thinking along these lines -
Shyam's truth is only half out ... Khushi and Guptas know that he is married, and are quiet, for Anjali's sake and for Payal's sake. But they don't know the full extent of his activities, including behaviour with Babuji.
How to expose Shyam completely within some narrow parameters? Said parameters being - the villain is the smartest person in the show and keeps everybody fooled right till the end.
The Indian soap heroine is the second smartest person in the show and has to be the one who exposes the villain, after the requisite amount of torture, unjust punishment and silent suffering, as well as X bottles of glycerine (the last seem to be reserved for another character here, so our heroine has the distinction of being seen laughing rather than crying).
Every body else is conveniently blind, deaf and dumb until required to grow a brain ... examples being our hero Arnav who in spite of being a shrewd intelligent businessman, never suspects his absent jijaji even once, our saintly sister Anjali, who is supposed to know her Chotey inside out yet never sees his feelings for Khushi changing, and our lately reformed La, who was dumb blonde all along and conveniently grew a brain just before her exit, and having grown said brain, exited quickly before she saw any more inconvenient truths. Oh and our resident silent detective, Shashi, who because he had a brain, had to be silenced as soon as he used it.
So that is the cv's POV. Carrying on from this ...
Shyam's POV - don't understand his motives completely, could be one of three -
1) He wants exactly what he told Shashi, a money tree - Anjali and a spirited beautiful girl to satisfy his other needs ... he wants both and will have them both.
2) He's a little scared now because although he has kept Khushi and the Guptas quiet for now, he's not sure about the future. And will Khushi and the Guptas not really able to hide their disgust for him at the RM? They don't seem to be doing so well. Especially because they will now be frequent visitors at the RM, he has to make sure his story sticks with them. Because although he can't have Khushi now, he still wants to keep his money tree intact, and if Khushi suspects that his story was false, then she might reconsider her decision not to tell Anjali anything.
3) He really is a psychopath with a personality disorder, see Shweta's post for details - and is enjoying playing his mind games.
Khushi's POV - Why are people assuming that if Kushi forgives Shyam, she will jump into the wedding mandap with him? Look at the entire picture, people! The point of this whole Khushi doubting Shyam track is completely different. Khushi was deeply attracted to Arnav, yet she put him out of her mind completely as soon as he got engaged to La, she never ever tried to steal him away, in fact, she did ALL she could to get them together and keep them together. She is doing exactly the same with Shyam, with the difference that she never ever was remotely attracted to Shyam at all. If she does forgive him, it's not because she will then take him back - no way. He is a married man, is completely off bounds, and most importantly, she is not interested in him that way at all.
IF she believes his story, and she hasn't completely, then her whole confusion is ONLY for Anjali ... should she and her family continue hiding the truth from Anjali? Taking into account the fact that Payal is getting married to Akash, and the whole family will keep meeting Shyam again and again ... THAT is the biggest question facing Khushi because for the first time, she has taken the step of hiding the truth, and she doesn't know whether it was the right thing to do or not. She has no way of knowing whether Shyam's story is completely true or not, and that is what she is trying to judge from Anjali's behaviour.
What part does Arnav play in all this? AT the moment, very little, to be frank. And that's why the parallel NK track, to get him closer to Khushi, to feel more for her, so that when the truth breaks out, his reactions are more extreme. I would guess that Khushi will still try to keep her distance from Arnav, because of her feelings for him, and also because she is hiding this truth from him.
If things stay the way they are now, Shyam's truth will never emerge. Khushi HAS to start suspecting Shyam again, and she is not going to find out the truth at first shot ... there will be stops and starts, doubts and concerns ... she has to HAVE the doubts before she can ferret out any further truths. And that is what the CV's are showing.
Thoughts, discussions, ideas, anyone? Am in a rush so have rambled ... hope I made some sense here!
