She knocked his cabin door, he missed a beat, he turned his chair around and did not say any thing, she was not expecting that any verbal affirmation so after waiting for 30 secs she entered to find him seated with his back facing her, she smiled and went forward and with a bit loud voice she said

G: good after noon Mr. Khurana

He was surprised by the high pitch of her voice, though that day he had not registered what she said but he very well observed how soft her voice was, with a little hesitation he turned around, she smiled widely and put forward her hand

G: hello Mr. Khurana

He looked at her then at her hand and after few seconds shook hand with her. His heart told him not to leave her hand but his mind warned him, she may be writing Ms. But Maan don't forget she is married and even if she is not you j\have no right to hold her hand more then manners requires to, so he let go off her hand .

G: I Geet Handa, think yesterday you did not get me

M: um

G: its ok sir, you are a busy man so it's natural for you to forget the ones you oblige

He gave her a not approving look, she was closely observing him

G: sorry and thank you sir

M:???

G: sorry for being a bit rude and thank you for giving me an appointment

M: O

G (I were right he is not deaf just dumb, but he can hear loud voices, that why he was behaving strange that day): sir I wanted to meet you for a project

M (gave her a puzzled look)

G: sir not for some hotel etc, but for a architectural and planning project

M: ???

G: sir I know you are an architect planner and have heard that you were the best student so sir I have this small project that I want you to work as an architect planner for. It needs your expertise sir

M (is so puzzled that he is unable to form words so decides to remain quite)

G: sir let me explain

And without waiting for him to say anything she starts the explanation, as she has watched Myra work many times at home she was aware of the presentation part and plus she had many sketches Myra had left semester after semester in HSPur.

She went on explaining Maan wondered why she was not waiting for his input, she was not speaking fast but loud, and she was stressing on words while speaking, she was also keeping an eye on his facial expressions and she answered his doubts before he could voice them. She was also using gestures to explain which he was finding quite strange.

He looked at the sketches and all with keen interest, few sketches were he was sure made by his own hand, and few were looking as if were sketched by Myra and Yash, he was quite sure that the apartment sketch was the one from the group project the tree of them did at college, but how was that possible.

After about an hour he ordered coffee and snacks and as at that time she was busy extracting some data from her laptop she did not notice it

So when the peon came with them she was impressed, after another 30 mins she finished explaining. All the while Maan had no need to say anything, she was very precise and did not leave anything unanswered. He was impressed, in the end

G: so Mr. Khurana this is what we want, here is the CD you can think about it, please study it and let me know if you are interested, then we came discuss about economics part.

M: um

G: ok now I shall take your leave call me when ever, (sorry) I mean tell Pinky to call me whenever you are ready

G: ok sir, bye, sorry and thank you

G: sorry for bothering you and thank you for giving me so much time

She put forward her hand he shook it

G: bye sir, good day

She gave him a wide smile

He was amused when she left without letting him say bye, he again wondered why she did not let him speak, he took the phone and dialed Manpreet's number

Manpreet has left for Mumbai after the Paath with Pari, she had lefty Pari at her parents' house as she was leaving for Europe for 20 days, with Prem, they had to attend a 3 day new hotelier's conference and then the group will head for a 15 day Europe tour.

MP: yes Maan

M: have you dropped Pari?

MP: yes

M: when are you checking in?

MP: in 15 mins

M: well

MP: hey how was your meeting with her?

M: nice but

MP: but

M: she did not let me speak and she was speaking a bit loudly

MP: laughing

M: why are you laughing?

MP: she was using gestures also

MP: she thinks you are hard at hearing
