I remember this weird fan. He was one of the organisers for a stage show and approached me for it but I couldn't do it for some reason. But the guy just wouldn't stop hounding me. If I didn't receive his calls, he would leave lewd messages on the answering machine in the middle of the night. I was so fed up with him that I finally had to take the help of the police to get rid of him.

I had gone to visit one of my male friends at his place sometime back. His neighbour's kids couldn't contain their excitement on seeing me. They finally barged into his house and got themselves introduced to me. It was very cute seeing the little ones asking for my autograph especially since young children don't like vamps too much. The next day my friend called to say that they even dropped in at some ungodly hour in the night to meet me, they thought I was living there with him. Now that was something else!

It was a very sweet and memorable experience for me. Last month I was in London, and much to my surprise there was a huge crowd waiting outside my hotel and they were yelling Saloni, my screen name in Saat Phere. Suddenly, a very old lady approached me and handed me a red rose. She had come all the way from Holland to meet me. She said I reminded her of her daughter. All this brought tears to my eyes.

I interact regularly with my fan Ankita. And boy, does she surprise me each time. She knows everything about me as in my whereabouts and stuff like that. I get good feedback from her because not only does she tell me about my performance but also about things like a particular outfit and the shoes that I had worn in a scene. It amazes me how these minute details are noticed.

There is this lady who keeps calling me and gives me advice. She is so into my show, Saat Phere, that she has to call me regularly and advise me on my reel-life behavior. She is very sympathetic that I always get vamps for wives (the first one being in Kaahin Kissi Roz). When I explained to her that I am only negative on-screen, she suggested that I speak to the channel and ask them to make my character positive.
