well,these shows gave us talents like shreya ghoshal,kunal ganjawala,sunidhi chauhan(meri awaz suno- the finals of which were attended by lataji and hridyanath mangeshkar)......earlier,kavitha krishnamurthy,mahendra kapur and others were picked up during music competitions...and we are glad(kavitha used to sing asha songs!!!).
how else will these singers from remote areas in India be heard?this is a platform for budding singers and it should be viewed as that.
about composing songs for each one...it is not feasible,unless they are finalists....
