Not only is Helen the star-judge on the show, but she also performs a jig at the end of it. Understandably, the channel is thrilled to get her on their show. "It was our good fortune that after Urmila Matondkar, we got the legendary Helen. She had a good time with the co-hosts Javed and Naved Jaffrey. The show and its young contestants seemed to bring out the fun side of the danseuse. Helen also explained the evolution of the cabaret in Hindi cinema," says Anupama Mandloi, head, on-air programming for Sony.
In the episode, female contestants will be seen tapping their feet to some of Helen's most popular numbers including Piya tu ab to aaja, Mehbooba o mehbooba and Aa jaan-e-jaan. "To top it all, Helen herself danced to her perennial favourite Yeh mera dil pyar ka diwana at the end of the show," says Mandloi. Boogie Woogie intends to host a series of celebrity specials in the forthcoming coming weeks.
