well I actually don't think there is anything wrong in him calling her darling cos I call a lot of people that I cannot stand or dislikes darling too just to get what I want from them.

seriously in these days an age the word DARLING does not really mean what it used to stand for in the past.

my Gay friends call me their darling and I am not a man.
