Ok Friends' I am just starting to post a Fanfiction'' A fafiction on my all time favorite story'..

"THE CHRONICLES 0F NARNIA" .

My FF started from the 2nd book as well movie i.e. The Chronicles 0f Narnia ' Prince Caspian"

But before starting my story of Prince Caspian I want to review the story behind just for those people who don't know about particular series of books and film.. which I am sure are very less but just incase of reminder.

Before the The Chronicles 0f Narnia -- Prince Caspian' The story of previous Novel ' The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.-- is pretty much well connected with it.

So following is the quick review of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.and its characters who will be remain same in the Prince Caspian.

The story begins in 1940 during World War II, when four siblings--Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy Pevensie--are evacuated from London to escape the Blitz. They are sent to live with Professor Digory Kirke, who lives in a country house in the English countryside.
While the four children are exploring the house, Lucy looks into a wardrobe and discovers a doorway to a magical world named Narnia. There she meets a faun named Mr Tumnus. He invites her to have tea in his home. There he confesses he planned to report her to the pretend queen of Narnia, otherwise known as the White Witch but has thought better of it. Upon returning to our world, Lucy's siblings do not believe her story about Narnia. Her older brother Edmund enters the wardrobe and meets the White Witch, who befriends him and offers him magical Turkish delight which enchants him. She encourages him to bring his siblings to her in Narnia, with the promise that he shall rule over them. Edmund returns with Lucy to the Professor's house, having met her in Narnia. But after returning he lies to Peter and Susan: he denies Lucy's claim that Narnia lies behind the wardrobe.

Eventually all four of the children enter Narnia together while hiding in the wardrobe. They meet Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, who invite them to dinner. The beavers recount a prophecy that the witch's power will fall when two Sons of Adam and two Daughters of Eve fill the four thrones at Cair Paravel. The beavers tell of the true king of Narnia, a great lion named Aslan who has been absent for many years but is now "on the move again."

Edmund sneaks away to the White Witch. Her castle is filled with stone statues--enemies she has petrified. The beavers realize where Edmund has gone and abandon their home, leading the children to Aslan. As they travel, they notice that the snow is melting, indicating that the White Witch's spell is breaking. A visit by Father Christmas confirms this. Father Christmas gives the three children and the beavers presents. Peter receives a sword and shield, Susan a horn and bow, Lucy a vial of magical healing liquid, Mrs. Beaver a sewing machine and Mr. Beaver's dam was finally finished.

The children and the Beavers meet with Aslan and his army. Peter engages in his first battle, killing a wolf who threatens Susan.

The Witch approaches to speak with Aslan, insisting that according to "deep magic from the dawn of time" she has the right to execute Edmund as a traitor. Aslan speaks with her privately and persuades her to renounce her claim on Edmund's life. That evening, Aslan secretly leaves the camp, but is followed by Lucy and Susan.

Aslan has bargained to exchange his own life for Edmund's. The Witch ties Aslan to the Stone Table and then kills him with a knife. The following morning Aslan is restored to life.

Aslan allows Lucy and Susan to ride on his back as he hurries to the Witch's castle. There he breathes upon the statues, restoring them to life. Peter and Edmund lead the Narnian army in a battle against the White Witch's army but are losing. Aslan arrives with the former statues as reinforcements. The Narnians rout the evil army, and Aslan kills the Witch.

The Pevensie children are named kings and queens of Narnia: King Peter the Magnificent, Queen Susan the Gentle, King Edmund the Just and Queen Lucy the Valiant. Several years later, now adults and mounted on horseback, the siblings go hunting for a White Stag. They see the lamppost and go towards it. Just beyond the lamppost, branches become coats. The siblings are back in the wardrobe and are children again. They reenter the Professor's house.

' Lucy Pevensie
is the youngest Pevensie child. She is the first to discover the land of Narnia when she slips through the magical wardrobe in the professor's house. When Lucy tells her three siblings, they don't believe her: Peter and Susan think she is just playing a game, but Edmund persistently ridicules and teases her about it. After the restoration of Narnia, Lucy is crowned Queen of Narnia with her sister Susan, and becomes known as Queen Lucy the Valiant.

' Edmund Pevensie

is the second-youngest of the Pevensie children. In Narnia he meets the White Witch, who plies him with treats (Magical Turkish Delight) and smooth talk. Tempted by the White Witch's promise of power and seemingly unending supplies of Turkish Delight, Edmund betrays his siblings. He eventually regrets his actions and repents. After he helps Aslan and the good denizens of Narnia defeat the White Witch, he is crowned King of Narnia with his brother and becomes known as King Edmund the Just.

' Susan Pevensie
is the second-oldest of Pevensie children. She does not believe in Narnia until she actually goes there. She is crowned Queen of Narnia, and becomes known as Queen Susan the Gentle.

' Peter Pevensie

is the oldest of the Pevensie siblings. At first, Peter disbelieves Lucy's stories about Narnia, but changes his mind when he sees it for himself. He is hailed as a hero for his part in the overthrow of the White Witch. He is eventually crowned High King of Narnia, and becomes known as King Peter the Magnificent.

' Aslan,
a lion, is the true ruler of Narnia. He sacrifices himself to save Edmund, but is resurrected in time to aid the denizens of Narnia and the Pevensie children against the White Witch and her minions.

' The White Witch is the land's self-proclaimed queen. She tyrannizes Narnia through her magically imposed rule. Her spell on Narnia has made it "always winter but never Christmas" for a hundred years. When provoked, she turns creatures to stone with her wand. She fears the fulfillment of a prophecy that "two sons of Adam" and "two daughters of Eve" will come to Narnia and help Aslan overthrow her. Her name Jadis appears in one proclamation in this book,[3] and Lewis's later prequel The Magician's Nephew tells of her origin and how she came to the Narnian world.

S0, this is my brief description of the story prior to my FF based on the novel and film "The Chronicle of Narnia ' " Prince Caspian"

I will UD soon with the detail description of characters and start the FF asap.
Thanx and please bear with me.

The Chronicles of Narnia -- Prince Caspian...
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

IMPORTANT!

In this very first chapter, story basically tells of Caspian's childhood. This is a movie-verse story. I think that the movie Caspian was a very interesting character, so I decided to allow myself to imagine what his childhood might have been like.

Actually My Caspian is quite different from the Caspian portrayed in book/movie. I like the Ben Barnes a lot 'BUT !!! My Caspian is more likely the characters of PRC and Veer of DV. So, if any 1 want ' pls feel free to imagine Rajat in the role of Caspian as I luv to see RT in this particular role, instead of Ben despite of I like him a lot.

So enough of my bla bla... off with the story!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Charcter Sketch for this Part

Little Prince Caspian ---- about 8-9 years of age
Prince Caspian is the rightful heir of the throne of Narnia. By this time 1300 years have passed since the rule of High King Peter and his siblings, and Old Narnians no longer live openly in Narnia, having been driven into hiding by Caspian's ancestors, the Telmarines. In fact, the talking beasts are believed to be mythical, and stories of them are forbidden in Miraz's castle.

When Caspian is a small boy (by which time both of his parents are dead), his Teacher Professor/Dr. Cornelius tells him of these stories, which fascinate him; but when he mentions them in the presence of his uncle, Miraz rebukes Caspian and try tp dismiss him.

and

Caspian uncle MiRAZ The Lord Protector ---- Miraz is uncle and the Guardian of Prince Caspian the X, having killed his brother, Caspian IX, in order to assume the throne just after the birth of his nephew.

Miraz is a cruel and unpopular. Most notorious for banning the teaching of Narnia's pre-Telmarine history, he also levies high taxes and enacts harsh laws. He initially tolerates Caspian as his heir, taking the title of "Lord Protector" for himself, before ascending the throne while Caspian is a small child.

Caspian POV

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Little Prince

Grownups were strange. They didn't understand his pictures or his words and when he was asked for explanations (which happened really rarely), they didn't get it either until he used words that they liked most. They liked numbers and numbers were so boring' they loved when he told them the height, the weight and the distance. They didn't settle for words like 'big', 'heavy' or 'really tall'. And that was strange, for those were the only words that held the truth' numbers were made up. By the grownups, no doubt.

Yesterday his favorite cherry tree was cut down from the backyard. It was sad, he loved climbing it and it smelled so good in spring and gave really tasty fruit in summer. He loved sitting on it's branches, having climbed them up when someone yelled at him. There he would sit in his sweetly smelling hiding place. Also, he would get stained in resin and that was not pleasant ' his touch was funny for long hours then and he would be yelled at again for getting his clothes dirty.

No one told him why the tree was cut. Uncle said that it was necessary and that Princes shouldn't prio' preo'cup'py their minds with such silly things. He didn't know what the long word meant. So maybe he was silly. And that was probably true, because he kept thinking of the tree and uncle said that it is a silly thing to do.

But then again, it were grownups who were silly. They didn't understand words that were obvious. They were confusing them. And he wasn't a grownup, so he couldn't be silly. But still, grownups were silly in a really special way. They didn't understand simple things, but they were so complicated' whenever he heard them speak, he was confused at the things they said. They never seemed to be meaning what they were saying, there always was something more, like they chose their words in a way to give them a different meaning than the one that could be heard at first.

Did that mean they were liars? Uncle said that it is wrong to lie. He was a grownup. So grownups couldn't be lying, because uncle said that it is bad.

A soft whimper came from behind and he turned around, smiling at Leo. He liked Leo, Leo was honest and intelligent like him. He understood him and he wasn't playing word games. He was waving his tail when he was happy, showing his teeth when angry and pressing is ears back and hiding his tail between his hind legs when sad or scared. And he was big and warm and fuzzy, giving a feeling of safety. He smelled nice, of the woods and of dry grass and his tongue was soft and ticklish.

He hugged Leo close and Leo waved his tail. They were best friends. Also, they shared a secret and a burden. It was their fault that that man was dead' well, Leo was less guilty, he was only trying to entertain him, while he was the one to bump on this servant' he fell down the stairs and twisted his ankle' and the servant was killed. Father ordered to kill him. He tried to protest, but it was no use. Father said that it is not a matter for a young boy to decide of.

Now father was dead, too. He wasn't killed, he died. In his sleep. Uncle told him so. It was not long ago' the cherry tree was giving fruit when he died. And now the leaves were starting to fall. And the tree was cut.

Why?

The question he asked was simple. And the answers he received were complicated. Again ' why could grownups not answer in a simple way? Did that mean he was smarter or they? Hmm' He was smarter, because they couldn't answer his question in the same way. But they were smarter, because he couldn't understand their answers.

Leo started licking his face and he laughed. It was ticklish and nice. He scratched him behind his left ear, because he knew Leo liked it. They were being nice to each other. They had to. They were partners in crime. They had killed an innocent man.

"We have to keep it a secret,"

he said.

"The people would be scared of me if they knew I am a killer. And you need to help me keep it a secret."

Oh, it was so hard to be a killer' but he was one and there was no turning back. He couldn't be what he was before ' innocent. A word he learned some time ago. Now he had to accept that he killed someone. Someone who wasn't an enemy soldier or a man he challenged for a duel. Those were honorable or necessary ways of killing. And he killed this man in a different way. So he was a killer.

He didn't like death. It was horrible. Mother died, too. Some time ago. Long time ago. Long before father died. It was on spring. The cherry tree was blossoming and it smelled so sweetly when she had died. And then suddenly the cherry tree stopped smelling. It also stopped being pretty. He wasn't cheered by the sight of it or by the smell or by the thought that soon it would give tasty fruit. It didn't matter, because she was gone. She died in the middle of a day, not in her sleep, like father did. It was long, long ago and he still missed her. It was years ago.

He remembered that on father's funeral grownups were talking to uncle. He heard one of them say something strange, something he understood and didn't understand at the same time. Or rather he understood the words, but not their meaning. But that was what grownups were ' simple on the outside and strange on the inside. So maybe their words were like them.

Leo laid down, so he laid beside him. The grass was harsh, dry, baked by the sun, smelling of hot dust and lack of water. And he liked it, this smell was the smell of the sun. And he liked sun, it was giving heat and light. He liked heat. It was good, even if it made Leo weary. Heat was something he couldn't explain why he liked it so much' did it mean that he was becoming a grownup?

Grownups were often telling him that there are no answers to some things, while he always knew answers to questions that were asked him and to those he was silently asking himself at nights, in his bed. So if he couldn't answer to something, it meant that he was growing up, didn't it?

Uncle was telling him that he is a really big boy now. He said that at seven years old he should be starting his training with swords and horses' all that sounded really good. He liked his first lessons, they were interesting. But he still was sad about father's death. And the instructors didn't understand'

How come they couldn't understand he was sad about father's death? He knew they didn't understand because they didn't ask him why he was sad. So did they consider his sadness normal? Because they weren't blind. He knew they weren't blind, because they saw what he was doing.

All this was so complicated' Also, today he was to meet the new Professor. Uncle said that it is about time he gets a more serious tutor. Again ' did it mean he was growing up? He knew he was aging. It was obvious, everything ages. The cherry tree was aging, too, but it was cut down before it could die on it's own. Mother and father were cut down, too, in a way.

Leo smelled nice, of dry grass, water and mushrooms. His fur was warm and soft and it felt good to hug him. He knew that Leo liked him, because he was the only person that could hug him. From anyone else, Leo was walking away when they tried to hug him. Probably he thought that grownups didn't deserve to be allowed to hug him. And so he knew Leo thought that he was important.

Was Leo a grownup? Hmm' he was three years old. So he was younger. But he was no longer a puppy. So he was older, because he was still a child. A human puppy. But he understood Leo, Leo was honest and easy to understand. So he couldn't be a grownup. Grownups were so confusing' they were so silly' but he knew it was rude to tell them that, so he never did. They seemed to be seeing problems where they were not. Why the cherry tree was chopped? It didn't bother anyone. So there was no need cutting it. And yet they did. Of course, they cut it because they thought there was a problem, while there was not.

Will he be the same in a few years? Will he become like them? Won't he be able to answer questions properly, too? Uncle said that the Professor is sent here to answer his questions. Did that mean the Professor was a child? Surely not, children weren't Professors. But uncle wasn't lying, because he said that it was bad to do so. So, if the Professor was not a child and uncle didn't lie, did that mean that some grownups were able of answering all questions? And if so ' why others were not?

"Do you think the new Professor will be nice?"

he asked Leo. Leo looked at him, letting out a whimper and started panting again.

"I know' I have no idea either' but you know what? We mustn't tell him that I am a killer. And that you are my partner in crime. Right?"

Leo whimpered again and licked his face.

He laughed.

"I like you, too, Leo. And that is why we should keep our secret."

Caspian

Miraz

Caspian POV

------------------------------------------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Caspian!"

he heard uncle's voice.

"What are you doing in the grass?"

He was not yelling, but he knew he was close to. He was not angry, but he wasn't happy either. Grownups are so strange'

"And, furthermore, why are you talking to the dog?"

uncle asked, taking his arm in his hand and delicately helping him to his feet.

"Animals are not to be talked to."

"Why?"

"Because animals cannot talk, my dear Caspian. Look at Leo. Can Leo talk?"

Caspian looked. Leo didn't talk the way he did. So that probably meant he couldn't. And also, he sensed that it was the answer uncle wanted to hear.

"No,"

he said.

"Well observed,"

uncle praised.

"And hence there is no point in talking to Leo, since he cannot answer you. Besides, animals shouldn't be talked to."

"Why?"

"Because they shouldn't and that's it,"

uncle's voice was a bit harsh and he winced. His voice was unpleasant when harsh.

"Now, come. The new Professor will be arriving soon. And look at yourself, you got your clothes dirty. That is not the way a Prince should behave. You can get your clothes dirty only when you train, that, at least, is a sign of a well-done work."

He didn't know what exactly a well-done work with practice and dirty clothes had in common, but grownups were strange. They kept saying odd things like this. But he wanted to be polite and telling uncle that he is not making sense, would be rude. Besides, that could anger him and when uncle was angry, he was very unpleasant.

"Yes, uncle,"

he said.

"Now come on, you need to greet the Professor."

"Oh, but I am not sure if I want to,"

he said, but walked with uncle. He looked over his shoulder at Leo who got on his paws and followed him.

"What do you mean, Caspian?"

again, uncle was being silly. He said a very simple thing and uncle didn't get it. And he was starting to be angry' but he was a brave boy, so he swallowed and tried his best to explain, careful to use words that a grownup would understand.

"I mean that I am not sure whether I am going to like him,"

he said. Maybe now uncle would understand.

"He is not to be liked, Caspian, he is to be learned from. That is what tutors are for. They teach you, not become your best friends."

"When will Katharine come again?"

"Now, what is it with this question?

What made you ask it?"

Oh, but it was so simple ' uncle spoke of best friends and Kathrine was his best friend. She was nice, laughed a lot and they were cousins. They played together a lot when she was visiting. They also played on the cherry tree. Too bad it was cut down. Now they wouldn't be able to play on it.

"Because Katharine is my best friend,"

He explained patiently to his uncle.

"I don't perceive an association."

Oh, why were they coming up with such confusing words? What was this 'perseving' uncle spoke of? The association' was it not when one tries to kill the king? Oh, father was king and he is dead' he died in his sleep. He was not killed. Uncle said that such things happen. But he didn't say why. Maybe he again didn't know the answer. After all ' he was a grownup. But' he didn't know the answer either. Was he becoming a grownup as well?

He was too tired to explain things to uncle again, so he didn't say anything. Apparently, uncle wasn't disturbed by that, because he didn't say anything either. Did that mean he knew what Caspian meant after all? Because if one does not know something, one should ask. That is what mother told him.

Mother was beautiful. She smelled of roses, ink and parchment. And a little bit of letter seals. And she had a beautiful voice. She sang to him. When she was alive. And she was soft, and her arms were very cozy. She never yelled at him, she was always very nice. She didn't even yell when he broke her pearl earring, playing with it. He also cut his finger and cried and she held him on her lap, humming a song into his ear.

Father did yell at him. He yelled when he scratched a part of his armor while playing with it.

Vambrace, it was called. And he yelled at him. But it was just a scratch, no big problem' or maybe it was a problem for a grownup. Grownups had strange problems. Mother was dead already, when he scratched the vambrace.

He missed mother more than father. It wasn't fair, he knew it, because he was told that parents are to be loved the same. But if father yelled at him and mother did not, she deserved to be loved better. Or that meant that he was bad and mother did not see it. Oh, he was bad, he was a killer'

"But, uncle, I like Doctor Cornelius. Why cannot he learn me anymore?"

"'Teach', Caspian, not 'learn'. Or rather the correct form here would be 'tutor', since we are speaking of such things here."

"Yes, uncle. But why?"

"Why what?"

Do adults have a short memory or do they get so easily confused because they are silly?

"I meant why cannot Doctor Cornelius tutor me anymore?"

he asked, so that uncle would understand this time. Talks with grownups were very tiring. He needed to tell them everything separately, or they were getting confused.

"It is only temporary, Caspian,"

uncle said. He wondered what the word 'temporary' might mean, but he didn't ask, so that uncle wouldn't get confused. If uncle got confused, he wouldn't finish his answer.

"I need to sort some things out with him."

"What things?"

"Things in the field of your history studies. It seems to me that he fills your head with silly legends and fairy tales."

"Do you mean stories of Old Narnia?"

He was happy whenever he thought of Old Narnia, it was most wonderful. He and Katharine played that they were in Old Narnia.

"There is no such thing as Old Narnia!"

uncle was now very angry and he bit his lips. He didn't like when uncle was angry. And he knew he was getting angry when Old Narnia would be mentioned, but he just couldn't stop himself' why uncle was getting angry with such nice and wonderful thing?

"This is exactly what I need to talk to Doctor Cornelius about! And who knows, at seven years old you need to have a more serious tutor, so maybe the new Professor will replace Doctor Cornelius!"

"Oh, no, uncle! I like Doctor Cornelius!"

"Tutors are not to be liked, Caspian, but learned from, I had told you that already! Do not make me repeat myself."

"Yes, uncle'"

Would the new Professor be nice? Doctor Cornelius sometimes acted like a child. So he was smart. He was not a silly grownup. Or at least he tried. Sometimes he couldn't help and was silly, but it never lasted long. And he was very nice. And he told stories of what happened in Narnia before Caspian the Conqueror came here' he didn't say much. Just that there were four monarchs' two Kings and two Queens, named Peter the Mag'ni'ficent, Susan the Gentle, Edmund the Just and Lucy the Valiant. And they were brothers and sisters and they ruled Narnia. And they were crowned by a big lion named Aslan.

Uncle didn't like this story. He said that it was a stupid fairy tale and that those people are never to be mentioned again. He didn't know why, this story didn't seem wrong. Or stupid. But again ' uncle was just a silly grownup. But still ' why did he not like the story? There was nothing bad a bout it' it seemed nice. It was all Doctor Cornelius told him about what happened in Narnia before' before what
, actually? Where did they come from? Where their ancestors lived?

"Uncle, where do we come from?"

"What nonsensical question is that again, Caspian?"

Uncle again used such a confusing word. And he again had to explain everything to him' talks with grownups were truly tiring.

"I mean where were the first Telmarines?"

"In Telmar, Caspian, is that not logical? Honestly, boy, we need to seriously work on your history."
"What history?"

"There is only one history, Caspian!"

Uncle again got annoyed. But why, what was so wrong about his question that made uncle angry? He decided to stay silent. Uncle was getting angry when he was asking questions. And he was asking questions when he spoke. So he decided not to speak. That way he won't say anything to make uncle even more angry'

They entered the castle and uncle took him to the throne chamber, saying that it was too late to change his clothes now. He brushed some dirt off of his shirt.

"Not so bad,"

uncle said.

"You look at least presentable."

Caspian POV

____________________________________

He wanted to ask what exactly 'presentable', but he remembered that uncle was angry when he was asking questions. So he did not ask. He thought that is has to have something to do with presents or with being looked at. He did not know which one was right. But, presents were to be looked at. So, in a way, both things were true.

"Stay straight, Caspian,"

uncle said and he did his best to stand as he was taught. Chin up, shoulders back. Uncle put his hand on his shoulder and they waited.

"Lord Miraz,"

a servant appeared.

"Professor Maltvian is here and requests to see you."

"Send him in,"

uncle said.

The servant bowed and soon an old man walked inside the throne chamber. He was very old. And very tall. And very not nice. And he had a very sharp nose. And his eyes were grownup. Doctor Cornelius had eyes that were not grownup. Probably because he did not act like a grownup all the time.

"Lord Protector,"

the new Professor bowed.

"Welcome, Professor Maltvian,"

uncle said.

"This is my nephew, His Majesty Caspian X. Caspian, greet the man as a Prince should."

"Hello, MY G00d Prince"

he said.

Uncle sighed and he felt that uncle was angry again. But he didn't yell. What to do to please him? Oh, right

"I am honored to make the acquaintance,"

he added. He did not know what this last long word meant, but father taught him to say that whenever he would be introduced to grownups or girls. Or boys from other royal families.

Uncle smiled. Smile was small, but he was pleased.

The new Professor smiled, too, but this smile was grownup. It didn't reach his eyes. His eyes were boring and scary. But' if something was scary, then it couldn't be boring. Because one is bored when one has nothing to do. And being scared, is doing something. But the new Professor's eyes really did look boring and scary. They were boring, because he was obviously a silly grownup who would not understand him. And they were scary, because they were very sharp. They looked in an unpleasant way. He wanted to hide behind uncle, but he was a brave boy so he didn't.

"The honor is all mine, Your Highness"

the new Professor bowed to his future King.

"How long will the first period of my employment last?"

Professor asked to uncle

Again, so many confusing words... this surely could have been said in a lot easier way. Did grownups like when things were difficult? Maybe. But did that mean they enjoy unpleasant things? No, they do not. They are so strange'

"One week, I need to sort things out with His Majesty's present tutor,"

uncle said.

He bit his lip, he knew uncle spoke of Doctor Cornelius. And what he said sounded unpleasant. Scary.

"Then, if things are fine, our agreement will end. If I shall not find an opinion common to mine in that man's mind, you shall keep tutoring His Majesty."

"I am sure our collaboration will be fruitful and effective,"

the new Professor said, smiling. Again, his smile was not reaching his eyes.

Oh, he hoped Doctor Cornelius would be back soon. This new Professor was using far too many long words. And this new Professor also didn't care that he did not understand him, Doctor Cornelius always did.

And besides, it looked like this new Professor did not know any stories of Old Narnia. Also, he looked to be a person who does not like them at all.

I hoped you liked it.
