This is a question I have been meaning to ask Pragya ever since she became Naach_Basanti😆...but I keep forgetting, so I'm opening this thread to figure out why we chose the names we did?

MIne:

Well, the Coco part came to me during my pole dancing phase--which was the phase I was in when I joined IF. Yes, Me! I had a pole dancing phase--thank god not a stripper phase or my dad would have locked me in my room for life or my mom would have killed me.🤣

The Sweet b/c I was having a Joey Tribbiani moment. Remember the episode where Chandler and him have to figure out which of 2 babies belongs to Ross--so of course they flip on it. And Joey calls Heads and assigns Ducks Heads b/c THEY HAVE HEADS. So I went with the obvious...Coco is Sweet hence Sweet Coco. Besides, my runner up was Spicy Coco b/c oxymorons aren't my thing.

I also blame the double dose of diabetes aka Sweet Coco on my inner gujju--we and are obsession with sugar.😆

Maddy1973 was my original ID... I was thinking what username to pick... I saw my doggie's pic on my side table and voila i typed in her name Maddy... That ID was taken and so i added 1973 and that was my house number while i was in the University... And bingo Maddy1973 was born... 😆

When i was little, me and my cousin would always talk on the phone and say "fly to me"...that was our phrase because he was in Nepal and i was here (US). We would always talk about how we miss each other. So we always asked each other to fly and come visit. So its just something meaningful that i now look back on and think about how innocent and cute we were!:D It just makes my heart smile!(:

my old user name was NausheenFan aka kkusum

was a huge fan of nausheen ali sardar stil is..

but then salman khan ka craze jo tha.. woh aur increase ho gaya and kkusum had already ended and there were no show of nausheen that time i changed my username to Sallufanno1

My first one...well that's my name...and I found my name pretty with the *~ LOL...so I went with it...this one...someone was screaming at my supervisor...and afterwards told us ke the person has AHFS...ie...acute hissy fit syndrome...someone who needs to be diagnosed asap b/c they think they are very sick...and a common cold does not equate to a diagnoisis lol.

But I plan to change it ji...so any suggestions Hetal? psh

Former username was Emptiness, I got it from the Buddhist concept of Sunyata, which translates to "Emptiness" in English, it's to do with the intrinsic lack of reality of phenomena.

Current name comes from my profession, I am an expert in Cunning Linguistics. ;)

Masakali is the song from Delhi 6.

It's the name of the pigeon that is featured in the film and the song (the scene where it is on Sonam's head). But the word masakali on its own means to play, to be free and to be liberated.

In an interview i read a while back around the time of the films release, it was said that the dove represents that feeling, of flight and liberation. As it moves through Delhi Skies, it embodies both freedom and the need to wander.

I loved that, it has always stuck with me. I love this song dearly too, the sound is out of this world. My username is also a tribute to A.R.Rahman and the soundtrack of the film in general. It is one of my favorite Indian soundtracks and also some of Rahman's best work.
