this is interesting. whatever be it, jeetu bhai has also failed in his role as a caregiver to gopi when gopi was in his home.

he has not been able to protect and nourish that child who was in his care. and he needed to protect gopi from his own wife--who is more than an evil character. and by not doing enough to protect a child in his care, he is equally culpable.

and urmi is a shame on all womanhood. whatever be her motivations or reasons, she is a horrible person. i have to wonder do such people exist in real life?

in old hindi movies we used to see the evil step-mother and the cinderella like daughter who has to suffer the evil machinations of the step-mother. urmi seems to be cast in the same vein by the story writers. she seems to have no remorse.

hate is such an all consuming feeling and urmi seems to have have lost her humanity in her hate for gopi.

i dont think dhaval is gopi's own bro.. cos Urmila hates Gopi but not Dhaval.. there is no way that there is blood relation between Urmi and gopi bcos she calls her anaadh.. she is Urmi's niece only thru marriage

I had this same thought, that Gopi and Dhawal are real brother and sister during Gopi's birthday, when Urmila and Rashi were making Gopi think that her parents died on Gopi's birthday, remember Urmila was adamant that Dhawal must not come to the Modi's, I think Dhawal and Gopi's parents are one and the same.

If you think more about it, how Dhawal got married and his parents didn't come to the wedding, Urmila and Jithu bhai gave him away, neither were his parents consulted when choosing a bride for him...

My thought is that Dhawal is also an orphan but not only that, his actually Gopi's biological brother.

It fits right, after all isn't his personality like Gopi's? Doesn't Urmila hate it when Gopi wants to put Rakhi on him? Why he doesn't talk about his parents or other family at all it's because they are also dead.

Possibly both Gopi and Dhawal didn't know their parents as they died in the car accident and Urmila is hiding that secret from Gopi and Dhawal, remember they (Rashi and Urmila) don't allow Dhawal to come as they will bring Papaji. I'm thinking if this parents story is dug up further it will be known that Jeethu doesn't want to the two of them feeling sad etc, so yes they grew up thinking they have each other as brother and sister, but didn't want them reminiscing too much of their dead parents or possibly them two deciding to split their small family, Gopi following Dhawal when he went to Mumbai for some time...so they kept that fact from them.
