Khushi and Arnav share a bond that they both dont want to accept. Yes Arnav inflicts her the most pain but I think that is his way of fighting for his own self preservation:
After the Diwali night he was acting according to his self confessed (stupid) principle "I'll go away from anyone who makes me feel like I'm in love with her'. And Arnav being Arnav doesnt realize that every pain he inflicts on Khushi, he's the one who's hurting too.So he acts conflicting, runs all the way to put on a bandage on a cut and then when Khushi asks him what does he want...he gets his self-preservation shield up :I dont want to see your face again ..blah blah The only person who can help him here is himself or Devi maiya to get it through his stubborn head that matters of heart prevail over all logic.
The Fadaq Parta hai phase started with a good realization :"she does indeed care as I DO (about Khushi's engagement) about how I FEEL for Lavanya ...I'll make Khushi own up " but then Khushi's apparent nonchalance pushes him to a level (the guy can't think straight when he's angry anyone who knows him know that) where instead of getting her in touch with her inner feelings, he hurts her so badly that it makes him cry too. To give him the benefit of doubt here ..this is a new territory for this guy. He's used to closing deals/getting results...so his attitude was I'll do X and voila Khushi will fess up. But he's facing someone who is emotionally stronger than him...

Khushi has a deep love for her adoptive family and will not hesitate to sacrifice her feelings for Arnav to make them happy. He doesn't know the circumstance that led to her engagement to the snake. Khushi is going through this ordeal because she thinks that's what her Babuji wants. So no matter how much fadaq parta hai, she'll swallow the pain and act normal. So I dont think khushi will do anything to fix her situation with Arnav until her babuji gains speech or she discovers the real skin of the snake.
