In the morning, Arjun created a mess out of everyone as he demanded for Geet and Maan. Poor souls were sleeping peacefully. Hearing the yelling of Arjun, they stirred in bed and eventually got up together and came out to ask what he wanted and why he is making so much noise.

Geet said angrily, "What do you want Arjun?!"

Arjun took a step back as if he would burn with the anger of Geet. He spoke slowly, "I just wanted to talk before I had to leave for college. You both promised to help me remember?"

Maan: "Chote, we haven't forgotten. But what's the rush!"

Arjun jumped at him, "Rush! Exactly, I have to talk to her before I go insane!"

Geet: "Stop. Enough. We'll get ready ASAP and then talk. Alright? Now go finish your breakfast and not a word from you. Or else no help from us. Got it?"

He nodded like a small, cute kid and followed Meera to the dining table. Maan and Geet came back in the room and closed the door. Geet said, "Can you take out a pair of clothes for me? I'll hurry up and take shower. Or else Arjun will start yelling again."

Maan nodded and before he could ask her, she had fast hurried in the bathroom. He shook his head pleasingly and did what Geet asked him to. Few minutes later, she yelled from the bathroom, "Maan'Why are my clothes not hanging on the door?"

Maan replied with a smirk, "Cuz they would have gotten wet. Do you realize the bath room is wet? Come out and get them.

Geet scolded, "Maan now's not the time for your jokes. Just give them to me now!" She held her hand out through the small opening.

Maan said, "Get it yourself!" You want to yell at me? Fine, let's see who wins here.

Geet was getting irritated now. "Just give them to me already!"

Maan: "La la la la..." He started humming showing to her that he least cared. Geet slammed the door shut.

She self-talked. Geet' think' think fast' right now he's in his devil form. You know best. If you want to get your way, then you'll have to first, shock, make him feel guilty and then apologize' but what do I do this time? Babaji, help me... yes! Got it. Thanks babaji. Now help me too'"

Maan went silent as he didn't hear any word after the slamming of the door. He walked up to the door cautiously and heard small whispering voice. Great! Talking to herself yet again. Maan, arm yourself. Battle's about to begin."

He then heard the door being unlocked. He swiftly ran back to where he was before, pretending to be innocent. He heard footsteps and turned around out of curiosity. It was none other than Geet wrapped in a wet towel. He gaped at her. At her beauty and the innocent. The way her wet hair were dripping water in a rhythmic beat.

She was trembling under his gaze feeling really uncomfortable. After all, she was in a towel. Yes, she did decide to do this on her own. But any girl would feel shy in this situation. She kept on pulling the towel low but also making sure it covered her chest. The towel was a little above her knee.

It suddenly struck him that he was gaping at her which was making her super uncomfortable. He understood and twirled around in no time. He shut his eyes trying to take the feeling he was having at the moment away. He had this temptation to go near her. But he knew this wasn't the right time at all. He bended a little feeling the bed to find the clothes he had laid there.

With caution, he walked backwards after he found them. He raised his hand behind and held out the pair of jeans, kurta and the scarf. Her usual style which was still unique. Geet was hesitant and forwarded her hand. She took him and for a second, their hands touched. It sent a shock throughout both of them.

What Maan said next surprised both of them, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have forced you." Maan usually never said sorry to anyone. He never felt guilty or regret any of his actions. But today, he did. Geet mumbled in a slow voice, "It's okay." She turned and ran in the washroom and locked the door behind her. She rested her weight on the door afraid she might fall down. She was panting hard even though she hadn't run a marathon.

Geet' you made up your mind but did you now think of the after effect? Don't you know the effect he is lately having on you!

She quickly got ready giving her best to stop shaking. She came out dried her hair super-fast and even though they were a little wet, she ran out keeping her curls wet and dangling behind her. Maan looked at her with a smile. He was figuring out that he had an effect on her. Nothing could be better than that as of now.

Afternoon, Joe's Caf

Geet stopped Maan, "Wait."

Maan asked, "Are you waiting for anybody?

Geet replied, "Yes. Waiting for Raj."

Just then Raj came parking his car. Maan to Geet: "What is he doing here?"

Geet: "Same thing I am doing. He'll be giving me company while you talk to Annie."

Raj: "Why? Not happy seeing me here?"

"No. Of course I'm happy." Maan replied. They all walked inside when they received one more surprise. Arjun! He came to them as he saw them. "Hey! What are you all doing here?"

Maan replied before Geet could, "None of your business. What are you doing here? Bunking college huh?"

Arjun sat as they sat down, "Bro! This is the trust you have on your brother?" Maan shot him a look and he continued, "Fine, jokes apart, I'm here with my friends for lunch break."

Maan: "That's good. Go sit with them then."

Arjun replied, "Nah. They're leaving soon as they have some project to finish as well."

Geet: "Great. Then join us for another lunch."

They gave the lunch order together. In few minutes, Annie arrived there. Arjun saw her coming out of the car. He started hiccupping all of a sudden. All three looked at her and Maan asked giving him glass of water, "Who's yearning you so much?!"

Arjun shook his head vigorously. They weren't able to understand what he was trying to communicate. He pointed towards Annie. Maan grinned. "Hey, that's Annie!" Arjun looked at him with wide eyes.

"What?! That's Annie? Your friend Annie? It's can't be!"

Maan said, "Why can it be not? I have seen her picture. It's her okay?"

Arjun: "Bro! That's the same girl I'm in love with!"

It was now the other's turn to gape at him. Maan exploded, "What! Great! Now I'm giving love advice to my brother against my best friend!"

Geet: "Maan calm down. You aren't betraying anyone. If Annie likes him too that you are just doing a good deed for both of them. For now just talk to her. And Arjun, you, disappear from here now!"

Arjun: "But Geet. I want to."

Geet stubbornly said, "Arjun. Now!"

Arjun made a puppy face and vanished into thin air. Annie came there and found them. They stood up. Now what were two best friends supposed to do when they met? Especially for the first time. Sure, both of them had big grins on their faces. But should they hug, just greet or shake hands. What were they supposed to do!?

Annie looked away here and there and Maan looked at Geet with a look that asked 'What do I do?' Geet shook her head and nodded slightly. She spoke, "Arey. What are you both just standing there for? You both claim to be best friends na? Then what to best friends do when they hug?"

Both looked at her as if she was crazy. She continued looking at their faces, "You idiots. They hug! Now if you both are gays or something, then I'm fine with not hugging." She giggled while Annie was shocked at her and Maan gave her dagger looks. I'll get you later Geet! just wait!"

Geet took a step back showing her tongue to him and then said to Annie, "Chill yaaar. I'm just kidding. Come on, let's sit down."

Maan spoke after few seconds, "Annie' I hope you don't mind me bringing Geet. And then Geet called Raj so'"

Annie cut him, "No Maan. It's perfectly alright. I get to meet your other friends too." She thought she saw a movement to her right and looked there. Luckily, Arjun hid behind the pillar just as fast.

Everyone smiled looking at each other. An awkward silence followed. Geet seems to have been inspecting Annie's expressions. Annie was twirling her keys around her index finger looking here and there. She didn't know how to start a conversation. Geet thought to ease the poor soul's worry.

"How about I go get us all ice-cream? It's down the street. Till then you both talk. Raj, let's go?"

He was going to refuse but then as he got what Geet was trying to do, he stood up and both left. They walked and Geet abruptly turned behind the pillar where Arjun was hiding himself. He didn't notice her come behind him. He was, after all, busy admiring Annie. She tapped him. He looked around scared.

Geet asked with her eyes, "What are you doing here still?"

Arjun spoke, "What?! You told me to leave so that she can't see me. Well, this way too she isn't seeing me."

Geet said, "She almost did! You are going to leave now. Besides, your class starts in 15 minutes." He looked at the watch and cursed the time. He left with a sad expression on. Both Geet and Raj shook their heads and continued to go across the street.

As soon as Geet and raj left, both seemed to have let go of their awkwardness of meeting and started talking. Annie told him about her new university and how the change in place has affected her a little. He listened and also gave her tips here and there on what she should do when in certain problem.

Annie said, "Yea, so my parents gave me a surprise yesterday."

Maan: "Wow. You mean they are here right now too?"

Annie nodded. "Yes. But they'll be leaving by end of this week."

Maan said, "Well enjoy till then. How do you like this new place?"

Annie replied with a scoff, "It's surely hard. I mean getting to some place takes forever! Never in my life have I seen such a congested place."

Maan laughed. "That's India! And don't worry, in a while, you'll fall in love with this place."

Annie said, "I hope so."

Maan asked after a thought for a second, "Yesterday, you said you wanted to talk to me about something?"

Annie looked down finding a perfect way on how to tell him and ask for help.

Geet ordered ice-cream for three of them. Raj was still fighting with his inner mind on which flavor he wanted. He was now irritating Geet to the very end. "Raj, just pick a flavor!"

"Fine. I'll go with butterscotch." The waiter finally left giving a sigh. So many confused people these days! As they were turning to cross the street, Raj bumped into a person. It was Yash. Yash spoke with a smile, "Raj! What are you doing here?"

Raj replied, "I can ask you the same. I am just here for a lunch with my friends." Geet continued walking and half-way down, she realized that Raj wasn't besides her. She turned and saw him talking to someone. She yelled so that her voice reaches him over the sound of the car zapping by. "Raj, come on!"

Yash stood still hearing the voice. How can I ever forget this voice! He didn't know what to do now. He stayed facing his back to her. He spoke fast to Raj, "Hey, I have to go. Emergency. Talk to you later."

Before Raj could utter a word, Yash sat back in his car and rolled away. When he went to Geet, she asked, Who was that person?"

Raj said, "My friend Yash. I was about to introduce him to all of you and he left saying he had some emergency."

Geet said as they entered the caf. "Oh! Maybe some other time." They both sat down just as Annie was about to tell Maan what she wanted to. Great! Now I can't tell in front of them. What do I do now?

Geet handed them the ice-cream. Annie gave a big smile. "Wow! This is my favorite flavor!"

Geet replied, "Really? I just thought you might like it because my little'" she realized what she was about to blurt out in excitement. She stopped mid-way while Maan thought, Her little who?? Now it's about time this mystery gets solved.

She changed the sentence too, "I guess everyone just ignore this flavor." They started eating while talking about random things picking up from their surroundings. As she was talking more to Annie and here and there telling him about his 'habits' Maan kept on pinching her. She would ignore and go on talking while Maan would try to defend himself. Raj joined Geet as well and they all laughed at him. Maan just smiled looking at his closest friends enjoy. He didn't hold a grudge against them.

Geet received a call from Ishwar. "Yea uncle?"

"Geet, come to office as fast as you can."

She stood up, "Why' any problem?"

But Ishwar had cut the call already. She told Maan, "Maan. I have to go. You three carry on." Maan also stood up and stopped her, "What's the problem? I'll come with you."

Geet refused. "No Maan. It's alright. You carry on. I'll see you at home."

"No ways. I am not letting you go by yourself."

"I am not a kid Maan. I know how to drive and Raj can come with me."

"I won't listen anything. I am coming too. Sorry Annie. I'll have to go. See you later?"

"No problem. Yes, we'll keep on meeting now. Bye. Nice to meet you both."

"And me?" said Raj.

She giggled and said, "You too."

All four left. Raj left in his own car. While on their way, Geet took her revenge on Maan for pinching her every now and then. Maan knew he shouldn't have that and so quietly listened to all the abuse's and slapping that he got from Geet.

Hit me all you want to now. I still remember to get back at you for calling me gay. He thought with a smirk on his face.

As said in the last update, M repeating, this FF will soon come to an end in around 10 or more chapters. And, as the answers I got, I will update this FF once a week and see if it affects the number of likes and comments. If no, then I will go back to updating once or twice a month.
