Very well written... Totally agree with you that Anant is the most inconsistent character in the show... He's calm n sensible at one moment, and an impulsive fool the next😳 Navya has all hopes on Anant only and yesterday her hopes were shaken by this immature act of Anant... I think the CVs are moulding his character as per the requirements of the script and hence this inconsistency...

Hi 4shilpad! I was pleasantly surprised to read your post cause well, many of my friends and I myself have been rather upset with Anant's absurd split personality disorder. There are times he acts like the most mature person on earth, and takes care of Navya beautifully, but in situations like these, I can't help but wonder, how will Navya adjust in that house after marriage, if her husband himself lies all the time? Love is unconditional, and love means sacrifice. So if he wanted to lie, I'd have been much happier if he took the blame on himself and said he wanted to eat some noodles cause he was hungry. Blaming someone else, especially someone you're soo crazy about, doesn't go too well with me! I completely understand Navya's predicament here, how is she going to live in a house where the rules and regulations are out of her understanding, and the only person who can actually support her, resorts to lying, just to save his own neck? This isn't love, nor is this Nayi Soch! I've said this before, I'm saying this again: the CVs don't know how to explore round characters, and just brutally murder the concept of it! They should just keep the characters flat, it would be much better! I completely agree with whatever you had to say, and I'm sure there are loads of people on this forum who agree with your views too! Hope to see more of you around here!

Oh, and one more thing. You said no one was raving about the episode, but no one was ranting about it either. Actually, if you browse through Tanu's (laddoo598) post, after like 40 pages or so, you'll only be met with rants, and the occasional side topics! I myself wrote a rant over there, so if you have the time and patience, do go through the rants!

Lots of Love,

Ritchelle

Thanks, ritchelle! I will definitely go through those rants. Hope the CVs do too. I really like Anant as a character in this serial. Of course Shaheer plays him very well. I just hope they stop messing with him...because some of these things are not even essential to the story. I feel the story should be about AnYa dealing with the loonies and their mentality together...rather than Navya being the only voice challenging them...that will just not work...

Till now all of Anant's immaturity and childishness has been about trying to meet Navya and his happiness about being with her...unfortunately since Deviji makes no effort at all...this is all that takes the story and romance forward...but yesterday's episode was serious - Anant blaming Navya in front of his family - where did that come from? why was it necessary to show that? I am very worried about what the CVs have in mind for Anant.

LOL, the rants are sooo far ahead in the thread, that I'm sure anyone would get a headache reading it! Do try and post sometimes in those threads too (we call it the adda!), we'd love to hear your opinion! I too agree, as long as Anant's childish behavior and stupidity and immaturity was to meet Navya and to help solve some major family issues, it was tolerable and endearing. But the fact that he resorted to petty lies and deceit, just to save his own neck has gotten me worried. What will happen to Navya after marriage? If the one person who's supposed to support her through thick and thin acts this way for such insignificant issues, I shudder to think what will happen in the more important and major ones! But as one of my friends (Jenny) said, the moment we see an extremely serious situation, the maturity in Anant will be back and we'll see him as a smart, sensible and mature young man! We all have come to the decision that Anant is the most mature in times of major distress; but the rest of the times...sadly, he has the IQ of a kid!

Hey 😊...Join the club, lady...I see you are one of those souls deeply annoyed by the way Anant's character is being dealt with ( butchered rather )...and you've nicely brought out the discrepancies ( that is being overlooked by the creatives, of course )...

Allow me to indulge in some nostalgia...Umm, I think it was the 2nd or 3rd episode...Anant was trying to fend off the goons and protect Navya...and when he was being interrogated by his family, he was bold enough to reason with his grandfather as to why he decided to help this girl who was a total stranger to him...When i weigh this situation with respect to Anant - the object of trouble was that goonda guy, Navya was the victim ( unknown to him back then ) and finally,a very mature Anant under Baba's scrutiny...

Revert back to yesterday's episode...and when I perform the same analysis - Noodles is the object, Navya is again the victim ( now his GF ) and a very childish Anant lying to his Bua Dadi...It just goes on to show how blatantly the creatives have veered away from the initial character sketches...Defining Anant has always been quite a task...only difference is that, during the initial days of the show, I used to find him intriguing...I liked the way he kept me guessing...but now, his oscillation between smartness and stupidity is irritating...

An aim at redemption is quite a long shot, if you ask me...A lot of reworking is in order - that is, if the CVs ever plan to get Anant's character back on track...

yes, i miss that Anant so much. That's the one, I fell in love with...clear headed, idealistic, courageous, standing up for what he thinks is right 😊 and of course super cute...what more does a girl want...sigh...

CVs can still salvage it, if they so desire...that is the main point

@TM
U have very well penned down wat has been disturbing many of us fans here on the forum. The consistency in characterization of the main characters is a very crucial part of story telling and if messed with alot can not only leave lumps in the throats of viewers but also jeopardizes the dignity ...the potentials n the integrity of the story itself...
Sadly enuf...CVs here have been slimingly gambling with Anant's character quite often maybe in the jist to justify other characters or simply enchance or exaggerate a quality in particular in some other main character...for example in yesterday's epi...it may have been to re-enforce the firm beliefs navya has in being honest n responsible. But amidst this...CVs have only created loop holes in characterization of Anant which cuts the connectivity n flow of the story telling adding only to the demotion of the show!!!...
We truly hope that CVs take heed to this and control this constant swing of Anant's character esp. for like u said...this show has delivered marvelously some real aspects of life n has loads of potential for its further growth if and only if handled with care!!!
Rab Raakha,
shilpa 🤗
