In 8TH May India episode Kakisa narrates Chandani's death to Saloni that while on a picnic Chandani's feet get dirty as she steps in a ditch. She goes to wash it off to a gardener watering the plants. Nahar sees her gets suspicious and starts beating the gardener. For such a miniscule reason & with no provocation to do so Nahar finally pushes Chandni off the hill!
All this portrays Nahar as a PARANOID, DELUSIONED AND ANTISOCIAL personality - How? May be Saloni will like to blame Black Magic or MataRani ki icchcha!
Going into Nahar's personality portrayed so far he was shown to be mature, caring, loving, respectful and supportive Eg's are Shubra's misbehavior, running away from home, her pregnancy & later her marriage with Neel which was much against Nahar and family's wishes. Kakisa belittled Saloni but Nahar resented her, when Saloni had gone out shopping with Neel & Kakisa gets suspicious he keeps his mental composure. After all the support for Buasa marriage, Dhananjay's job, Samar's job and all the niceties showered on the Narpat Singh & family. For all he gets maltreatment from the wife in return.
Forgetting the present and past credentials of Nahar and his behavior towards her, Saloni deems him to be suddenly unworthy of trust and faith! His side of story is unnecessary for his wife to know. His wife believes and trusts a woman who was spiteful of her and conveniently accepts her version of the family's deep dark secret. Portrayed as sensible, mature and intelligent yet Saloni feels no need of asking the poor husband for his version. That of course cancels out the family members. This when the police also record the culprit's statement of crime committed.
Nahar calls her to meet and she agrees. In their meeting Nahar keeps crying and asks her to come back and Saloni orders him to repent for his crime. Nahar pleads with her but does not tell her what he did and neither does she bother. What was the motive of Saloni going to meet him then? To top it all she has the audacity to ask him to surrender to police without finding the motive and how the crime was conducted. How can a wife not desire to know the reason and too for a reprehensible crime like murder? When even in extra-marital affairs the wife wants to know how when where etc. This was disappointing and unacceptable portrayal of events.
Question unanswered still is how did the rational thinking & compassionate Nahar suddenly turned into incoherent, suspicious and possessive person.
Saloni was curious to find the Purani Dodi secret but wonder why is she disinterested in even asking Nahar what he did and why? Is it because she considers it trivial?
All this when she is shown to be a loving and caring wife unlike Shubra. (But think what wld have been the reaction had it been Shubra instead of Saloni!!)
Well starting with a good story and churning it into this mad and sickening caper is completely incomprehensible and seems so galling. The writers in India need to learn how to sketch characters beautifully and portray them realistically.
