Amit Dolawat's a trained Latin American Ballroom dancer
Saadia S Dhailey, TNN | Nov 9, 2011, 12.00AM ISTAmit Dolawat, who's entered Sasural Genda Phool portraying grey shades is actually quite a live wire on the dance floor.
The actor is a trained Latin American Ballroom dancer, and has even won a gold for performing Samba at a competition in the city recently.
Amit tells us that he started learning the dance form only three years ago. "Someone told me that ballroom dancing does great for the posture. I thought why not try it, and gradually I got hooked." And he's been quite dedicated, he tells us. Juggling between his dailies, he's managed to miss only five to six classes in three years. And how did he manage that we ask. "When you love something, you take time out. I even lied sometimes to make it to my class."
Now Amit has his eyes set on The National Ballroom Championship. "I plan to start preparing in January next year. If I win it, it'll be like coming full circle."
