Telly actor Prerna Wanvari on the highs and lows of being an actor and her equation with Ekta Kapoor

Prerna Wanvari debuted on the prime time show Bandini,went on to work in Koi Ane Ko Hai,Bidaai,did cameos in Tujh Sang Preet Lagaye Sajna,Bairi Piya,including one in Prakash Jhas film Aarakshan and is currently doing Ekta Kapoors daily show,Parichay.Excerpts from an interview:

How is it sharing screen space with Sameer Soni

We have a good chemistry.He is a natural actor and he complimented me saying that after very long he has met a natural actor.I learn a lot from him.

You have done a series of shows with Ekta Kapoor.

Ektas prod u c - t i o n house is like family to me.Ekta maam and I share a great bond.I am glad that she gives me opportunities to showcase my talent.Though I dont have a lot of scenes in her shows,but they are prominent ones.She really takes care of me.

Are you comfortable multi-tasking on television

I am going to start shooting for the dance reality show Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan.I dont mind multitasking but the role has to be good.

Do you enjoy dancing more than acting

I am a professional dancer.I learnt Bharatanatyam for five years and I have been in Terence Lewiss group for few years.I also teach dancing.But given a choice,Id take up acting.

How will you be unique with so many new faces on television

I appreciate that the industry is giving a chance to so many newcomers.TV is a great training ground for newbie actors.I dont see all this as competition.I just think of how I can get better everyday.

Do your dreams also involve Bollywood films

I have been giving auditions for a while now.In my first film things didnt turn out as promised.My role was edited while shooting.It was great working with Prakash Jha and Amitabh Bachchan.Bachchanji is superb,disciplined and full of energy.He doesnt take his work for granted.It was indeed a great opportunity learning from him.
