After his exit as Suyaash Mehra in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Mohnish Behl returns to the small screen as Veerendra Pratap Singh in the Sony daily Ek Ladki Anjaani Si.
The build-up to his entry, shows Anu collapsing during her wedding pheras. She is rushed to the hospital where the doctors declare her critical and her pregnancy has to be terminated. Anu is due to be operated upon the next morning.
Anu decides to escape from the hospital to save her baby, little realising that a hired killer who has been put to the task by Tulika (Arzoo Govitriker), is also after her. In the nick of time enters her new saviour, Veerendra (Behl) who takes Anu to a hide-out.
