How will you be celebrating Diwali?
My parents are visiting me this Diwali. So, I am really looking forward. I will be celebrating Diwali with them and a few very close friends.
What is your favourite part of Diwali?
I love how everyone wakes up early in the morning, showers and wears new clothes. I remember as a kid, I would do that and then visit my dad's office for the puja. After the puja, we would come back home and celebrate. I like the way it unites the entire family.
What do you look forward to doing most on Diwali?
I usually look forward to spending Diwali with my parents and meet them. I haven't met my parents in the last three months so I am looking forward to seeing them this Diwali.
Share some tips on reducing air pollution?
Get rid of your old cars as old car emits a lot of gases that are harmful for the environment. Also since, it's Diwali, I would like to request everyone not to burn the firecrackers throughout the whole festival. Select the special days such as Badi Diwali and Choti Diwali and burn firecrackers only during those days.
What tips would you share about safe diwali?
I remember when I was a kid I was trying to burn a firecracker with my hands and it burst immediately. As a result, I was badly hurt and had to get 18 stitches. Since then, my family is done with firecrackers. Hence always make sure you don't light them in your hands. Also remove the skin of the tail from where you burn the crackers as it helps in setting a timer and you get enough time to get away from them.
Which mythology story is connected with Diwali? Why do we celebrate Diwali?
Diwali is the time when Lord Ramji came back from his vanwaas. People welcomed him by lighting lamps and diyas. It also celebrated as the New Year in Hindu religion.
