Sr.Inspector Abhijeet of CID
C.I.D. is a series telecasted on Sony Entertainment Television. The series is about a team of detectives belonging to the Crime Investigation Division of the Mumbai Police. The series is regarded as the longest running crime investigation TV series. The first investigative series on Indian Television, is today one of the most popular shows on Sony Entertainment Television. ACP Pradyuman, Senior Inspector Daya and Senior Inspector Abhijeet are among the major characters.😳😳
In 21 January 1998, Sony Entertainment Television and Fireworks Productions launched a weekly crime thriller called CID. CID set another record on 7 November 2004, when B. P. SinghGuinness Book of World Records for canning an entire episode of CID named "The Inheritance" / C.I.D. 111 in one single shot of 111 minutes (one hour fifty one minutes) without a single cut.
According to an old interview of B.P. Singh, he shot six episodes of CID on Doordarshan(DD) in 1986 'even before Sony TV saw its first daylight'.
Aditya Srivastav aka Abhijeet Originally joined the team as an Inspector. He lost his memory on being hit with a rod in a 1998 case. He is much closer to Senior Inspector Daya. Even though his memory keeps testing him in many cases, he is considered to be one of the best, intelligent and honest officers in the CID team. He is also the best shooter in CID and can shoot with his eyes closed by only hearing the sound.Before acting as Abhijeet, he also played the role of a criminal, 'Paresh' in a 1998 case "The Case of Stolen Gun" and stole ACP's gun.He is a dashing, tough, suave and a handsome cop and Senior Inspector Daya is his best friend or rather like his brother. In fact, Daya is the only person in the world whom he trusts. Except him he doesn't trust anyone or rather he can't. This is because he was once badly hit on the head and after that he sometimes forgets everything around him. Though he will be all hard-core with the criminals, he will be equally caring and concerned about the people he love, especially Daya, and will go to any extent to protect them from any danger, even though he will have to put his life ahead for it. This point is seen in the recent episodes like Senior Inspector Abhijeet and Abhijit in Coma. He also considers the CID team to be his family after him losing his memory. He had once been referred to as a "psycho patient" by Sub Inspector Sudhakar. When he gets extremely angry nothing can stop him. He is the second major character after ACP Pradyuman.
