Are they the next Hiten–Gauri? Even though one cannot compare the two jodis, there isn't any denying the increasing popularity of Sharad Kelkar and his wife, Keerti. They worked with each other in Sinndoor Tere Naam Ka and Keerti has recently joined him in Saat Phere.
The couple celebrate the completion of a year of married life on June 3. "I can't believe it's been a year. For me, it seems like just a while back when I met Sharad," says Keerti. They are planning to throw a small private party for close friends at Goregaon on Saturday.
Pehli mulaquat
Sharad recalls the first time he met Keerti, "It was on the sets of this DD show — Aakrosh. After that we again met during CID, and started hanging out and being friends. We immediately got along and didn't really fight as such.
Six months down the line, I proposed to her and we decided to get married." Keerti gets emotional when she recalls Sharad's struggling period, "I am so happy for his success, as I have seen him going through a low patch. He deserves every bit of his fame and name."
How do they plan to celebrate the anniversary? "I have planned to surprise her with something nice. I can't reveal more, as it won't be a surprise anymore. It, definitely, is a special moment for us," says Sharad.
Keerti's wish-list
Where do they see themselves in the coming year? "My wish is to get interesting roles, pray for success coming Sharad's way, buy myself a Scorpio, shift into our own house and then plan for a sweet baby," says Keerti.
Even though they are working together in Saat Phere, Keerti is peeved about the fact that they don't have any romantic scenes on the show. "As of now, I have to do with his hatred, but I am glad we at least get to hang out together on the sets." |
