Daksh is come with Naina, to his house, after receiving an SMS from Akruti's phone, which was actually sent by Rohini, with dishonest intentions. Rohini, instigates her mother in law, and she asks her son, why he has come home. Daksh is at a loss to understand why his mother has turned against him. The rest of the family are dumb onlookers, and the only other agitated person is Rohini who insults Daksh and Naina, and then his mother takes over. There are many to and fro, questions being hurled and the mother seems to say, that her son has sold himself to this 'selfish' girl, who came into their life as a paying guest. When Akruti tries to defend her cousin, her father asks her to stay away from the dispute, as he too considers that her bad luck emanates from his paying guest. Vibha refuses to give them a blessing. The father is a speechless spectator, his face grimacing every now and then. Sanket fulminates against his brother and his wife, consoles her mother in law, that now she has only one son, and a 'faithful' daughter in law. Kaka Shridar raises his eyebrows as usual. Daksh wants to explain to his mother, but she shuts him out, and puts a condition to accept him back, and that is to give up Naina, and break his marriage with her.
Naina is upset, that the mother of Daksh has been doctored by wrong information, and has turned against her. She tells Daksh, that they should not have gone ahead with their marriage, before telling his mother. He also reminds her that the condition she has put is strange, coming from a mother he loved so much, and who in turn had always loved him. Asking him to choose her or his love is an impossible demand. Daksh is hurt by his mother's attitude, and tells her, that if he is sticking by Naina, it is because of her upbringing, and she used to tell every couple that used to come for her blessing, "Keeping the promise you made in front of the Sacred Fire, be one with your better half, and live on, in spite of all obstacles that may come in your path. I am going to do just that. I will stick by Naina, till the end of my life."
As a parting shot, he tells Naina, "You see, a large house in which we stand. The people who live here unfortunately do not have equally large hearts. It is better that we leave." He holds her hand, and takes her out of the house, and Naina drags her red suitcase on the floor, with her, and looks ruefully behind at the family she had begun to love as her own.
Rohini slyly calls Sonakshi and informs her that Daksh and Naina have got married, and she need not worry, as her mother in law is sending them away. Sonakshi is upset, and throws away her mobile, and when Rohini gets no answer from the other hand, her brooding eyebrows are raised in despair. Supriya tries to tell her daughter that it is useless pining for things that are beyond one's reach. She tells that Daksh has already married Naina, and Sonakshi wants to know how she came to know about this, but how can Supriya tell her the truth which she has kept hiding for the last twenty odd years ?
In the precap, we see a distressed Akruti telling the family that they have done a big mistake by sending Daksh away. She is about to tell them how Sonakshi had tricked them, but Rohini interrupts, and alerts Akruti not to speak further.

Daksh and Naina, are walking down a lonely alleyway, lined with tall lush green trees, dragging their suitcases in a pensive mood. After walking a long way, leaving their home, after being rejected by all those who were supposed to love them, Daksh wants to take his new bride to her first home. Naina, tired of walking finds a bench on the road side, near a bus stop, and sits there, and Daksh also goes to sit by her side. Naina feels that he should not have hurt his mother's feelings, but Daksh says, that his love for his mother has not diminished, and he can not at the same time ignore his love for her. Naina is confused and disoriented. Daksh gets a call from the painter, and gives him some instructions, when Naina's mobile rings, and Anjali is on the line. She reminds them, that they promised to call, once they reached Bombay, but she had to make the first move herself. When she asks how Ayee and Baba received the news, Naina tries to obfuscate the issue, and Anjali senses that she is not telling the whole truth. When she finds Naina has fallen silent, she calls and tells her that she can not tell lies and it is evident that she has problems. Daksh picks the call and tells Anjali that he will look after Naina, and when the mother tells him, to confront the problems and face them, he agrees. She tells him, that his mother, Vibha too will not do the same mistake she did, by disowning him, and hopes she will change her mind soon, before it becomes too late.
In the Patwardhan house Vibha is on a hunger strike, and Rohini champions her to break her fast, and not to be heart-broken over her ungrateful son, who should have known better, than fall for the manipulative Naina. She leaves no opportunity at putting down her arch foe. When the three of them argue, Akruti enters and listens to Rohini lambasting Naina. She interjects, at one point when she can not bear Rohini any longer and says, that it is not the fault of Daksh and Naina. Daksh had told Sonakshi everything, and she had played tricks on them. Daksh loved Naina from the very beginning, and she knows about it, and that can not be held as a fault against him. All of them highly regarded what Naina had done for the family, and loved her, but for the tricks played by Sonakshi. Rohini tries to advise her to keep quiet, as children should not speak when elders discuss. Rohini considers herself in league with the elders. Akruti ignores Rohini, and continues. She tells them, that she knew Ayush was not a person whom she could trust, and was expecting him to do the thing he did. In spite of knowing what was right and what was wrong, she kept quiet, with the understanding that marrying him, would keep their honour and please the family. To keep the family honor, she was doing something which she should not have agreed to. She compares her Aunt's dilemma, to her own. She too is kept in the dark, and the real issues are kept hidden away from her. She is under the false impression, that by Daksh marrying Sonakshi, her family honor will be preserved, she is doing the same mistake she did. Then her father intervenes and tells her to leave the room. She defies him and tells him, that it is true that for her mistakes, all of them have suffered. But this has opened her eyes to what is right and what is wrong. All she wants is that her Aunt does not fall in the same trap. That she too will bring lot of sorrow to the family by persisting in her false idea. So saying, she walks away. Vibha is pondering on Akruti's words.
Sanket argues with Rohini, and shows his hurt feelings and says Daksh should not have behaved like this with his mother. Rohini rubs salt, and says she is happy, her mother threw out both of them, as it was high time. She admits she does not like Naina. Sanket is angry that she has brushed Daksh too, with the same brush, and Rohini tries to make up, and pacify him.
Daksh and Naina reach their home, and Naina is very happy, and hugs her husband.
In the precap, Sonakshi is shown rummaging through some of the drawers, and finds a pistol, and gives a psychotic look at the pistol, with a criminal intent.

Daksh is busy preparing for the entrance of his bride into his new home. He has filled a steel tumbler with rice, and puts some red color on the floor, and Naina asks what he is doing. He asks her to close her eyes and takes her in and she trips the tumbler and then he asks her to open her eyes, and he tells it is her Ghar Pravesh. Daksh tells her that he saw his mother do it when Rohini came in the house for the first time. He says, he used the color he found in the house and put it for her. He takes her into the house, and shows her what he has prepared for her. He asks if he has done any mistake. He excuses the color-scheme, but she says, that she loves him, and is happy He asks how she will call herself, whether as a Bhardwaj-Patwardan or a plain Patwardhan and she tells if he could change his name too she will not mind to follow him.
Daksh says that there is too much work to set the house. They tease each other. She tells that she will not be able to turn the apartment into a home. For her a home, is where the whole family lives. He says that this is their home. He tells her that all these days will pass and better days will come. So they smile at each other and start arranging the house and dust off all the furnishings.
Daksh starts to continue the painting of the wall, she warns him, that he will drop the paint and dirty the floor and he has an answer to her and when he has done half job, she tells that he has made some design as he had painted haphazardly. He leaves the work, and tells that when he comes home, this wall will remind him, how much trouble they took to set this house. Naina takes out some paint that is stuck on his face, and they come close to each other as their emotions well up.
In the Patwardhan house Akruti asks if she can help her mother who tells her to take care of herself. Then she offers to do the shopping as this will help her have a change. Shyamal is cutting some vegetables, and Ayee says that her Chintu will not like this vegetable, and the wailing music gives the impression that they are all unhappy. Shyamal tells her sister in law that she understand that she will remember her son, but Vibha tries to brush her son off her mind.
Back in Naina's house, they are all tired, and resting on the sofa, with the work half finished . And now Naina suggests to him to get up and continue the work, and tells him, that this will be a life long work, and she will not let him off easily.
Rohini is on the phone line and is talking to her friend who is inviting her for the karva chaut. Shyamal prepares shopping list. Rohini says that her friend has invited all of them for the karva chaut, and her mother says that she can not come. Rohini tries to make some light talk. Shyamal asks if her friend is from North India, according to her understanding it is celebrated in the North with great devotion. Shyamal wonders if Naina too being from North India, and may be keeping the fast. Rohini starts her slinging match and tells how could they think that Naina will do it as she is a cheat and has stolen the precious son from his mother, and says such bad things about her, and the ladies just listen to her with drawn out miserable faces. She asks what the opinion of her mother is and Vibha leaves them and goes away. Rohini is enmeshed in deep thought.
Naina has come out of the bath room, and is drying up her hair. She asks what breakfast they would make. She sees that Daksh has ordered "vada pav". He comes closer to her and wants to be intimate, and Naina drops her towel and he looks at her and then tells her that his wife is always busy, and then he holds her into a tight embrace. Finding Naina is silent, he asks her why she does not say anything. She leaves him, and starts again her argument that even though she is happy that she is his wife they can not consummate until she is truly a Patwardhan, and his whole family has accepted her. She says his parents should accept her. She says that they have to accept her as their daughter in law. He says, that he understands her, but still they come together and she embraces him, and she rests in her arms.
We are taken to the Sonakshi's home, where is is impatiently looking for somethings and after rummaging all the drawers and cupboards she gets what she is looking for, a pistol. A dangerous psycho smile comes on her face, and with glaring hate filled eyes she looks at the pistol and holding it in her hands she slumps on her bed, and remembers what Rohini told her. She points the gun to her head...
In the precap, we see Ayee with Rohini, and a woman possibly Rohini's friend who addresses Vibha to be a temporary mother in law of Naina, as it is her first karva chauth, perhaps on the instigation of Rohini and Vibha is dumb struck. I could not figure out what this was all about, and we have to wait for it to complete tomorrow.

Karva Chauth is a religious practice of the Hindus in the North India, where the wives keep a fast for the long life of their husbands. Indian TV serials have started the practice of familiarising the viewers of these festivals, and will find unusual ways to introduce a plot to do precisely that. This story is set in Mumbai where the majority of the Hindus are Maharashtrian, and in a milieu where inter community marriages are prevalent, we see how they find a way to celebrate one another's festivals.
The story starts with Sonakshi. She is pointing the pistol to her head. Then she is shown walking off in a hurry and her mother tries to stop her and runs after her. She sees an angry face of her daughter.
Daksh and Naina have some visitors. They want to welcome them into their locality. The visitors who are from the neighborhood tell them that they want to invite them for the karva chauth gathering their society is organizing. They wish Daksh and Naina when they come to know that they are married just four days back. Naina tells them, that in her husband's house they do not celebrate this festival, even though she is from the North and knows about the significance of this Fast. The visitors give them the address, and then they want to invite the mother in law of Naina too. So when Naina gives the indication that the in laws may not be accessible the neighborhood lady offers to be her mother to give her the blessing. When Naina offers to keep the fast, Daksh tells her that he does not believe in this, and she says that now that she knows that it is the fast day, she decides to keep the fast. She tells Daksh to eat the vada pav by himself. Naina does not wait to listen to Daksh. He is about to eat but stops, and decides not to eat it.
Rohini is all decked up, and when her mother comes she talks about the karva chauth. Vibha wants to take Akruti to her friend's house but Rohini says that she can not take Akruti as she is not married. Rohini says all people at the friend's house will be marrieds women. She wonders, if people ask when will Naina come back, what would she say, and puts the mother in a defensise mood.
Naina is dressing up, for her fast. She remembers what Vibha had told her at the gudi Padwa. Daksh comes to see Naina and who finds that he has already dressed up. She wants to go to their friend's house, to break the fast. Daksh does not like to keep the fast. Naina tells the significance of this fast. She tells him that a daughter in law and her mother in law keep the fast together. Daksh is touched at her views, and he encourages her about his mother and promises that she will remember them, and he knows his mother's heart which will always be giving the blessing. He wants to tell her something and asks her to close her eyes. He puts mehendi on her hand. He says that the visitors will be expecting her to come with mehendi, and being her first karva chauth, it will be bad, if she does not have mehendi. It gives him also great pleasure to put mehendi. She says, he has put too much mehendi and teases him.
Rohini is at her friend's gathering, and they all are together to break the fast . In another group, Naina and Daksh are present and the lady tells Daksh to hand over Naina to them. Both groups are in the same pandal. The visitors introduce the new residents Daksh and Naina and they are happy to meet them. The ladies appreciate Naina's mehendi, and she tells them that her husband has put it. They are much impressed.
Naina covers her head with her pallav. The guests wait for the moon to appear. Vibha meets the people, and is informed about the new couple. They praise this couple and tell her that the husband put mehendi on his wife's hands. They tell that the things have not be un packed and want to present the couple to Vibha. When asked what the name of the couple was, they say that they did not ask their name, and they point out to them. Naina is seen with her back so Vibha asks them that she will take their leave to drink some water. Naina see's the lady has left the purse, so taking it she goes to her and does not realize that she is her mother in law. She comes to her to give her the purse which she had left on the table. Vibha turns her head and is upset seeing Naina and does not exchange a single word with her. Daksh too happens to see them and comes to Naina and face the mother and the rest too come to the same spot. The neighbours too come and tell her that it was this couple that they were speaking about. Vibha leaves the place without saying anothing to her children.
The neighbours ask Naina to take the blessing from Vibha and she and Daksh bend and take the blessing and Daksh says "Thank you Ayee."

Daksh and Naina are at Karva chauth function and Naina wants to give a purse to the woman who happens to be her Ayee but she looks at her takes the purse and the lady tells that this is the ouple she was speaking about. Rohini wants to take Ayee to meet some of her friends. She walks off with Rohini and Daksh watches on.
Rohini adds fuel as Vibha is about to leave. The guests want to stop them, and Ayee offers to stay back. Rohini saying that she wants to see someone goes away and she calls Sonakshi, and tells her where she can meet them as Naina too is at the same venue. She tells that Naina has kept karva chauth. Rohini instigates Sonakshi and tells her that the game is not over and gives her an idea, and gives Sonakshi the address of Naina's house. She asks what her plan is. and tells her not to do anything dangers. T
he friend of Rohini comes searching for her, and takes her away. Daksh is with friends. and they ask him what he has done for his wife. He tells them that he has kept the fast. They praise Naina.
They see there is one item missing in Naina thali, and it should have come from the mother in law aso the lady who is hosting the function, takes her to Vibha and tells her about it. She asks if she can do her part to stand by for her mother in law who is away from town, as it is the first karva chauth of Naina. She says that her husband is a Maharashtrian and as she too is one, she can take the part. The lady asks Naina if she could accept her as her mother n law. Ayee tells that she has no gift for the girl, so the lady tells her that if she could give a Rupee coin it would be fine and so Ayee picks a coin and tosses it in Naina's thali. The lady is happy that the ritual is complete, and then Ayee says that Rohini has been standing and she needs to sit. Naina and the lady go back to their place.
Sonakshi is hatching her plan, and picks the pistol. She is in the car, and says to herself "What are you thinking, you have right to take over Daksh ? No. No." Just then she gets a call, and looks at the phone and does not respond.
Rohini is busy instigating her mother saying that Naina is pretending to keep fast, and makes Daksh to keep the fast too. The lady comes to tell Vibha and her family to wait a little as it is time they see the moon, and the ceremony continues. Naina and Daksh see each other's reflections and are the center of attraction, and Daksh looks at his mother, and they complete the ritual.
All the men are standing in a row and their wives do the ritual on their husbands. Daksh smiles, and his mother looks on angrily. The lady asks the couple to take the blessing, and Daksh and Naina bend and take the blessing of their mother
Naina is surprised to hear from his friends that Daksh has kept the fast. The lady host sees Vibha is alone, and takes her that as she is the one day mother in law of Naina to give them her blessing. Daksh says "Thank you Ayee? When Naina bends the mother steps back and says do not call me mother. The lady seeing her animosity asks if they had a fight. She asks if they knew each other before. but Vibha says she has to go. Rohini stays back and when the lady tells Daksh and Naina that Vibha had to go, Rohini starts her band telling them that Naina was the cause of trouble in their house and tells that Daksh is her brother in law and the second son of her her mother in law. She says that he went against his mother and married Naina. Daksh stares at her.
Pre cap, Sonakshi is in the house, Naina tries to explain to her, but she says, "If you want to make me happy, you have one way" and points the gun at her
