Why did Bani marry Jai?

Could anyone tell me why Bani married Jai?

Had to stop watching the series for few months because of my exams and now I am completely confused and don't have a clue of what's happening :)

Jigs forced Bani to sit in the mandap till Pia comes but Pia never turned up has Pia had already eloped with Pushky on the wedding day. To save Walia family name and honour Bani sacrificed herself and got married to Jai. 😊

Pia was supposed to marry Jai. In fact she accepted Jai's proposal without informing her sisters and Pushkar. But as her wedding day crept nearer, she realised that she loved Pushkar more and didn't want to trade her love for money and status, so she ran away on the wedding day itself, without even thinking abt her sisters and Jai.

Bani and Jigs found this out when the groom was already in the mandap and the wedding rituals had already started. Jigs manipulated Bani's thinking to a great deal and convinced her to take Pia's place in the mandap. And boy, was Jai surprised and angry over this. 😡
