Amitabh Bachchan may have turned 69 years old today, but the actor is young as ever! The 'angry young man' of Bollywood can still teach the actors of today a thing or two (or more!) about acting and his flawless charisma on screen. Even after more than four decades in the Hindi film industry, Amitabh remains the suave gentleman. Koimoi.com Editor Komal Nahta talks about the impeccable Amitabh Harivansh Bachchan:

There is no actor other than Amitabh Bachchan who values others' time as much as he values his own; which is the reason why he is never late for his appointments. If Mr. Bachchan has said that he will be at such and such place at 4 p.m., you can be sure that he'll be that at 4 p.m. on the dot. Traffic jams, road blockages… nothing stops him from making it on time. In Mumbai there are traffic jams at every nook and corner. How he plans when he should leave so that he reaches on time has always been a mystery.

If you call him for an interview, he may not be able to take the call but he will make sure that his office secretary promptly calls you back. He has very efficient office staff who fix up things for him. On the appointed date you will get a call from the office staff reminding you about the meeting and mentioning that Mr. Bachchan will be there on time. They make sure that you don't have to wait and that you also don't keep Mr. Bachchan waiting. Of course, even without the reminder you can't keep Bachchan sahab waiting. Staff is always as efficient as their boss is. And because he is so particular about time, his staff takes great pains to see that nobody is kept waiting when they have to meet Amitabh Bachchan or when they want an appointment from him. After all, he values your time as much as he values his own time.
