Maadi is a rural gujarati word for Mother. Also there is a word Maudi for mother.

Malinn ne kaha vo bhi sahi hai.Par yaha-
Maadi Re means bhagavan ko yaad kar rahi hai yani devi ji ko bolate hai.
Like HAI DEVI MA (HAI BHAGWAN)---HAI MAADI RE.

Actually, malinn is right. Even though Meenakshi is quite religious, when she says maadi re she means "mother" not God.

yep it's mean mother.......even godeess are refferd as mothers hence even thay are said as maadi

Maadi means mother (or Supreme Mother i.e. Goddess) so when some one says Maasi re it means that in English terms he/she is saying Oh My God

I still beg to differ. There is no supreme being - Goddess here....

Maadi Re is used much like marathi's say "Aai G"....
