😆😉😛 Okay, you guys might figure out my intentions from the topic title. I am so inspired by that "Bollywood Without The Khans" topic (desigal90, you rock girl! 😳), that I wanted to make this topic. Okay, can you imagine what Bollywood would have been like if we didn't have BEAUTY QUEENS? Would the world have been a better place? I don't think so! 😭 Because beauty queens have been instrumental in breaking the myth that people with a pretty face can indeed act and put in those convincing performances. Everyone bashes Aish and Priyanka for their acting, but praise their beauty obviously. But, of course I am a huge admirer of both these amazing ladies! And kudos for them for sticking out the negative criticism all these years and managing to make reasonable careers for themselves!

Bollywood without BEAUTY QUEENS? Do you think Bollywood has benefitted or hurt because of them?!

I belief that Bollywood have certainly benefited by them and as a matter to be frank, i find all our Bollywood actress pretty in the own way where the level of their beauty can differ from each another. Some of them have used their beauty and actually transformed into different avatars. For example, Ash. She is an actress with a beauty face and she has transformed with her looks from Devdas, Jodha Akbar, Guzaarish and Don 2. Even Priyanka have gone through a few avatars like in Kaminey, 7 Khoon Maaf and more, So we certainly need these beauty queens. Without them, who will the hero's be fighting for, the romance and the romantic songs will have no meanings 😆

benefited big time! both priyanka and Ash. are good

its the actresses such as Sonam, deepika, katrina, etc; that i feel bollywood has been hurt

In 70-80% of Bollywood movies, heroines are only eye-candy. They don't have much to do, as in, their roles are insignificant and not important to the story in any way.

So if not beauty queens, more models and more firangs will be imported! 😃

I must say though, Aishwarya and Priyanka have brought a good change by giving some great performances and have contributed to the industry than JUST being beautiful faces.
