Baapji says that neither clay moulds not relationships can be formed without two parties being on equal standing. And so he wants both of them to sit together on the floor at the same level/standing. Madhav folds his hands emotionally and nods. They arrange for the sheet to be placed on the floor for Baapji to sit. He sits and then asks all of them to sit as well. They hesitate, so he gets up again and says that if they are unable to sit on an equal setting, he will stand and speak with them. Finally they all sit. Baapjis asks them why they are watching him with so much amazement. Then he asks for something to eat. Laajo asks Aastha to quickly go and make something fresh in the kitchen. Baapji stops her and says that there is no need to make something new, whatever is leftover, he will eat that. Laajo tells Baapji that they only have boiled potatoes and roti since she was mad at her husband for saying all the did on TV and cooked this. Baapji says he eats puris etc. everyday but insists on eating these boiled potatoes and sukhi roti today.
Baapji eats the food and then turns to Aastha and asks her why she is looking so worried. She says that he gave them such a huge thing and yet they are giving him stale leftover food. Baapji insists that the food is delicious and this is the best food for him.
He turns to Madhav and apologizes to him for not being able to talk to him previously since he was busy with the Shivir. That he made the declaration about making Aastha his bahu but never asked for her parents's acceptance before that. He says he didn't give any importance to what he saw on TV...since images can be misleading, so he wanted to speak directly with them. He asks him what the reason is for his refusal and if they had given a promise to someone else. Laajo says that is not the case. Madhav finally turns to him and says that the reason is that a bhakt can never become a sambhandi like this. Baapji smiles and after a moment's pause asks them if they have any green chillies.
They look surprised but bring the green chillies for him. He starts to eat them. They look on in confusion. Soon Baapji starts coughing. They panic and rush to get him some water and sugar. Baapji drinks the water and asks them to sit again. He then tells them that he too is an ordinary man, not God. He came over from the Aashram, ate their food, ate the chillies because he wanted to break this illusion of him being a God that they have. He says he is just a medium to reach God. His body also feels discomfort, he also laughs, his heart also cries, his heart also breaks.
Madhav says that they have considered him a God for 20 years. How can they change this belief overnight? He then narrates a story about how Aastha was very sick as a child and there was no hope left of her surviving but they took her to Baapji one day and he held her in his arms, poured a tonic in her mouth, prayed for her and cured her. Baapji then blessed a locket which was placed around her neck and she wears that locket to this day. Baapji also places a green leaf over the baby's head saying that it's about to rain so they should take her home carefully.
Present day, Madhav mentions that since the day he gave them the leaf, every year on that day they take out the leaf and put it to their foreheads in reverence. He then motions for Aastha to bring the leaf. She brings it...it is old and faded now. Madhav hands it over to Baapji. Baapji waves his hand over the leaf and it turns green and healthy again. Everyone looks on in wonder and amazement at this miracle. Baapji motions asking for something to write with. They hand him a pen and he writes something on the leaf and hands it over to Madhav. It reads: "I'm an ordinary man. A father of a son. I ask you for your daughter's hand in marriage. Please accept this." Madhav gets up and brings a thread over to Baapji saying that this is the thread with which he cuts off the mould after it's made and he mentions a lovely metaphor about clay taking a shape and the comparison to his daughter...after which he says that he is handing over his daughter to Baapji.
Baapji takes the thread and says no one has given him a more invaluable gift in his life. He says he wants his bahu like this and he doesn't want them to buy anything extravagant of any sort. He then hugs Madhav after he says that he wished that Baapji would stay a few more days. He looks at his portrait, then at a flag waving in a corner and says that he does live in this house. Finally he leaves.
Outside the Aashram:
A couple with a sick child is waiting to see Baapji and refuse to budge even after being told that no one knows when Baapji will be back. A car pulls up and Atharva steps out asking what's going on. He tells the couple that the child's condition is worsening and he must be taken to the hospital. The couple refuses and insists that they will not leave without taking Baapji's blessings to cure the child. Atharva forcible picks up the child, puts him in his car and drives off leaving the protesting parents behind.
At the hospital:
The doctor gives an injection to the child and Atharva looks away. The doctor turns to him and smiles and asks him if he's still scared of injections. Atharva smiles and nods. He tries to pay the doctor but the doctor refuses to take payment. Atharva asks him why...he says he is Baapji's bhakt, not his...and he insists that the doctor take the money and he finally accepts.
Back at the Aashram:
Baapji returns and is just speaking to the harried couple when Atharva returns with their child all fit and fine. He greets his father and explains the situation. Baapji smiles in understanding and blesses the child. Atharva apologizes to the couple but they thank him.
Atharva's sister greets him excitedly and they banter for a bit as Baapji looks on fondly. Atharva then greets everyone one by one. He then asks his sister what all happened in the past 5-6 days while he was gone. Everyone looks at each other warily wondering how to tell Atharva about Aastha.
Epi ends.
