Shobha Somnath Ki hopes that the 16-year-old time leap planned will change its fortunes

After failing to clock encouraging TRPs,production of Shobha Somnath Ki changed hands and producer Siddharth Tewary of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo fame was brought onboard to take over the project.And with a new producer coming in,we hear that revival of the show is on cards.Apparently,Shobha... will be given a complete makeover including the storyline and even a few characters.This makeover will be introduced with a 16-year-old leap,which means that the kids will make way for grown-up faces along with which a couple of actors are expected to bid adieu to the show since they dont want to age.Amrita Raichand who plays Shobhas mother will not continue with the show as she doesnt want to play mother to a teenager.The leap is kept under wraps and both the channel and production house are tight-lipped about it.Considering the outrageous money being spent on the show and given its lavish sets,the channel still has its hopes pinned on the show!
