Just at that second, "Geet hurry up, we don't have all day to waste" Maan shouted from outside her door.
Geet had come out running and was about to trip and fall when she was caught by the waist and firmly held by a strong pair of arms.
"Thanks Dev for saving me again", smilingly she chirped lost in his eyes.
"Ok, If you two lovebirds are done shall we get going" a rude voice broke the spell in which both Geet and Dev had found themselves in.
"Ask Maan bro about that leave, Geet"
"Yes I will, later. Bye, Dev." Saying she rushed out.
It was late in the night when Maan reached Khurana Mansion. Geet had left the site in the afternoon itself to go shopping with Dev but he had lot of meeting to attend. No sooner had he entered, he realized everyone was at the dining table, and Savitri Devi called out to him.
"Maan beta aap aagaye. Hum sab aap ka intezar kar rahain hain. Aap jaldi fresh hoke aajayiye."
"Kitni baar kaha hai maine Dadima, aap dinner kar lijiye, mera wait mat kijiye"
"Nahi beta hum aap... ka wait nahi kar rahe the. These girls had gone for shopping and got late. I was waiting for them to come"
"Sorry Dadima aap ko hamara wait karna pada. Sorry we are late." Pari, Geet and Pinky all said in one voice.
Pinky who had become Geet's friend had gone to watch a movie with Pari after Geet had called them from the mall, saying her shopping was done and she had some free time as Dev had gone back to work.
"Ok, Dadi, I will freshen up and come but please start your dinner and don't delay it as you have to take your medicines also." Saying this Maan hurried to freshen up and join all of them for dinner.
They all had dinner and everyone retired to their rooms.
The restlessness of his thoughts brought him to the French window of his room. The nature, the greenery, the sound of the wind rustling the leaves on the trees outside soothed him, the soft music which was being played somewhere out in the distance, brought the calming effects to his thoughts.
As he was contemplating about his further course of action he felt two hands slide over his chest from behind. And his first thoughts were of his love, his "Cheri". He turned around calling out
"Love" only to find Pari hugging him from behind.
"Pari, what are you doing in my room at this time of the night?" he asked pulling and bringing her in the front but Pari put her arms around his neck.
"O Maan, why do you ignore me? You don't have time to talk to me so I had to come to your room at this time to talk to you".
"Pari go now. We will talk in the morning". He was starting to get angry.
"Ok, but first kiss me" she pouted.
With great difficulty Maan distanced himself. from Pari's arms
"Out just Now." he said with controlled anger.
